Television Game of Thrones (TV) • The watch has ended

That was a bit dull. Things happened I know, but nothing really exciting/wasn't obvious. Dany is just so fecking boring, hopefully Tyrion will make her story more interesting. How can she have dragons and still be this boring? Unreal.

For me, it's because her character lacks dimension compared to the other main characters in the show that have more complex, dual nature. Tyrion is a very layered character with an ever-changing mixture of evil and kindness. Dany lacks that depth, her character is extremely flat and pretentiously idealistic, lacking in humor or comedy. Her story arc with freeing slaves and hanging around in various cities is also the most cliched and least exciting. Lots of treading water.

Kinda off-topic but I think Jon Snow also has King's blood or Queen's blood. Why else is Melisandre always sizing him up like a footlong cock?
Also, why can't Stannis and Melisandre forgo the hassle of acquiring more King's blood and just create another fog baby to kill everyone? Or was that just a one-off?

Ah well that would have been from Littlefinger then. Not Jennifer Lawrence :(

I thought the seal could have been a Sparrow....implying the High Sparrow, but Littlefinger is probably the more likely option.

I think it's understandable most of you don't remember Lancel in the early seasons. I didn't even remember who he was until they mentioned his name. Then I thought it was a recast but nope, it was the same guy. He just built muscle and cut his hair.

Interesting to see how boyish he looked, but this was near 4 years ago.

Yep, looks quite the cock gobbler up top.

Pure speculation about something that might happen I a couple of seasons time but probably won't:

Just a thought that popped into my head and I want the chance to be smug if it actually happens although it's about 1/10,000 chance of actually happening: Sansa dies at some point and Arya takes on her identity through the House of Black and White for one reason or another.

I still don't remember him  But then most of my contributions to this thread are trying to remind myself of earlier characters. It's one of those shows I should have waited until it was done and then watched it in one go.

Rob Barath kept taking the piss out of him and kicking him about.

Oh shit now I remember. I hadn't even realised he was a Lannister which ads another dimension to snitching on Cersei.

Well the way I see it the season is shaping up for a bloodbath. When you think how many characters died last season, it's been relatively light this season. So that implies that a mother of shitstorms is enroute to Westeros. So shall we have a forecast on who snuffs it?

There's too many characters to keep track off anyway. And as @Eboue said, some of them are confusing -- Gendry and Podrick are probably the same people

He was the young cousin that Cersei was sleeping with when Jaime was captured at the time (after Robert's death).

He also served Robert Baratheon wine during some episodes, and he made the comment about how he gave him some before he got fatally wounded by the boar, as if to imply Cersei planned on getting Robert killed (at least that was what I recall of it).

Shireen: Stannis is going to sacrifice her.
Stannis: And it's all going to be in vain. I think he'll die in the battle.
Theon: Hopefully.
Tommen: Cersei's foolishness is going to cost her. Faith Militant will probably get him.
Meryn Trant: He's on Arya's list and he's gone to Braavos with Mace Tyrell.

Margaery Tyrell: Civil war in Kings Landing occurs when Tommen resorts to violence to attempt a rescue, I think her brother will survive.
Tommen: Dying with Margaery, Cersei is powerless and watches as her son dies in the arms of another woman.
Cersei: Another victim of the civil war in Kings Landing, powerless to stop Tommen dying.
Stannis: Doesn't kill Shireen and pays the ultimate price.
Ramsey Snow: Killed by Theon as he holds Sansa hostage in the siege of Winterfell
Theon: Sacrifices himself to kill Ramsey redeeming himself in the eyes of Sansa Stark, tells her that Rickon/Bran are still alive before he dies.

Finally caught up with the season. It's been a bit slow going this season, I feel like more could've happened across the last 3 episodes.

There's clearly going to be a bloodbath in Kings Landing. That cult has got too powerful. Was good to see Cersei get a taste of her own medicine!

Littlefinger is a cnut, I can't work out whose side he actually is on.

Ramsay is a sick feck. Brilliant character, the conversation he had with his dad about getting fatty pregnant was . I thought Sansa would be more assertive this season, but it's the same old tragic stuff for her. At this point I'd rather see her die than continue suffering.

Jamie & Bronn's travels seem to have gone rather quickly. Tyrion is fantastic, would like to see more of him and hopefully he makes Daneyres' story more interesting.

Arya's story is reflective of this season by being a bit slow, but I think something epic is going to happen with her very soon.

I'd be gutted if anything happens to Stannis. Only character I really like and who's fate I care about.

Though knowing George R.R Martin, he'll probably kill him in a gruesome manner to vindicate those Bolton cnuts, whereas Sansa will again be under their cruel clutches of a malevolent family. It'll be Joffrey all over again.

I'm hoping...

That Stannis wins the battle for Winterfell and Ramsey either runs off or is slain. I think Stannis will probably die in the battle however but what this will do is free up Sansa to become the rightful Warden of the North. She would have Brienne and Davos to give her council. The only problem with this theory is that Priestess Woman would probably still be alive and I can't see Sansa agreeing to obey her Gods. But it would be fun to see Sansa Stark suddenly become a player free from the shackles of men.

However, having said all of the above... I imagine while the battle between Stannis and the Boltons is raging, Littlefinger will take the opportunity to take out both of them. He's a clever fecker and will probably wait till the end of the battle before riding in.

Can the High Septon call himself King?

He has played this brilliantly, stringed along Cercei till she was foolish enough to give him weapons and power.. Already has a good backing from the people, that statement of "you are few,we are many" sounded very ominous.. Now that he has Cercei in his jail,he can kill Tommen, blackmail the Tyrell's into supporting him inexchange for Loras and Margery.. In a season with no scheming of Tywin, the High Septon has been a welcome addition.

Ive no idea what his end game is, but he sort of implied that he wanted a sort of people's revolution. Not sure if he is playing the "game of thrones " or what.

Yeah he's already suggested to Cersei he'd do that but obviously it won't be for the benefit of the Lannisters. I can see him stepping more to the forefront as the main villain in the show rather than the background schemer he's been up until now.
