Television Game of Thrones (TV) • The watch has ended

One interesting thing of note was Sansa's reaction when she found out that Jon Snow was still alive and became the Lord Commander of the Night's Watch. I feel that he's still got a big part to play in the showdown at Winterfell. I remember him being close to his half-siblings (especially Arya and Robb Stark), but don't recall what his relationship with Sansa was like. Was she not very fond of him similar to her mother?

Sansa was bratty, stuck up and ambitious early on. I think that she probably found Jon Snow's existence to sully the family somewhat. She needs him now though.

I thought it was a great episode. One of the best from all seasons. Some excellent acting and scenes.

He also had a big part in the wildfire plot iirc. But yeah, it can be tough to keep up at times, so much happens and is linked.

- Gave Rob too much wine during the hunt which resulted in the boar killing him.
- Was knighted shortly after this by Joffs.
- Became Cerseis sex toy when Jamie was imprisoned by Rob Stark.
- Became Tyrions spy shortly after above and told him about the wildfire Cersei had stored up (before Blackwater Bay Siege).
- Disappeared after Blackwater Bay when he abandoned the fight.

I think thats everything.

I couldn't take Aemon's death seriously due to..

"Egg? That's a beatiful name

Can someone explain one thing to me - I didn't really understand the scene between Melisandre and Stannis.

Why did she want him to give up his daughter? And for what exactly? She isn't a usurper to any throne. They way they talked about her was as if she needed to be killed.

They need kings blood for the spell or whatever. She has his blood.

I'm remembering so much thanks to this.

Yeah exactly. Seems the goalposts get moved from episode to episode.
Stannis did suggest Leeches to be fair, so it seems slut witch is just making the rules up as she goes along.
They were planning on killing the Gendry or whatever initially, and the leaches were just a demonstration of what she could do with kings blood so they would believe her basically.

To be fair it is fantasy so rules don't really apply. Plus this season is a clear down turn in writing (and occasionally acting) so who knows where we are at.

I like that it's building up though, I hope the big number 9 really is worth all this

Cersei is screwed then! Who does Tommen turn to now? Granny Tyrell? Littlefinger?

What happened to that creepy dude going all Frankenstein on the Mountain? There's got to be some kind of involvement there.

I can't see how he can rescue her though? I suppose Tommen might finally man up when he finds out that Cersei has been taken? I wonder if we might see a civil war in Kings Landing as Tommen brings out the soldiers and tries to rescue everyone.

Last season the guy in the tree said "You will never walk again, but you will fly." so I'm taking it as almost certain that he's going to warg into a dragon.
Or maybe a bird? That seems more likely tbh

No. Bastard was leeched initially but then he was going to be executed which is why Davos stepped in and released him. Bastard then escaped on a rowing boat never to be seen again.

Fair enough. Should've drained that old fecker at the wall before he died.

If I was Stannis I'd just be leeching everyone that stands in my way until there was no viable option left. No need to raise a sword in anger.

More likely a Dragon. When you watch this again you'll see that he has a vision of a Dragon flying over Kings Landing which I would assume is being controlled by him given that you don't see the Dragon itself, just the shadow.

Also, while we're talking of the above, you notice how Bran sees a vision of a destroyed Kings Landing Throne Room? Daenerys had a similar vision during the Houses of the Undying back in Season 2. See here

You are the biggest nerd on here.

Ah, I forgot about that. Bran's story line seems to be the most important in the show but I find it so boring.

Totally and utterly screwed. I can't see anyway out for Cersei and the problem is that Cersei fecking Lancel simply strengthens the case that Tommen is a bastard.
Silly woman, she esentially got rid of the advisory council and now Tommen is very much exposed to a coup. Maybe Littlefinger will swoop?

I don't know, but he has disappeared so I wonder if that's an ace they will pull out.

I'd prefer it to be a case of Tommen finally growing some balls though.
