Television Game of Thrones (TV) • The watch has ended

It would be hilarious if many were expecting show Theon to finally man up and avenge Sansa, but he ends up dying pitifully. Three seasons of torture only to end with an insignificant death.

I thought he would have, but I reckon the abuse won't stop here with Ramsay, now she's his wife he can basically do what he wants. Theon/Reek is going to kill him.

Yeah that's my thinking. Though it's maybe a bit too obvious, so maybe not

I echo all the complaints about the sand snakes. Terrible all round and a real drop in quality for the show.

Adebisi  A strong shout for the best character debut in the show? Cock-merchant

Nice scene with Arya and thousand faces, and a truly awful one with the Sand Snakes

I don't find Ramsey as villainous as King Joffrey.

There was something 'believable' about Joffrey's cruelty whereas Ramsey is just so evil that it isn't believable.

I think it was Joffrey's pettiness that made him believably nasty. Dickhead moves like moving the chair thing Tyrion was going to stand on during his wedding were believably snide rather than evil.

Arya's been my favourite character from the start, but this is my least favourite storyline of her's so far. Hopefully it kicks on.

I really hope it doesn't go down the route of Sansa's life being made absolute hell by another psychopath. There's only so much one person can take. Plus it will start to get dull if it happens again, which is what makes me think things will start to pick up for her and Ramsey will get what's coming to him.
Sigh

It's been a pretty terrible season so far. Most of the sub plots have been so uninteresting, the fight in the gardens this episode was fall out horrid as well as the Ayra storyline being dull again.

Yeah, the only interesting parts involved John Snow. Very underwhelming so far. Sub plots take way too fecking long to get a conclusion (Tyrion meeting Daenarys, if that ever happens anyway).

For me anyway, the only sub plot I find sub par is the Dorne one. It just seems like filler in the grand scheme of things. A reason not to put Jerome Flynn & Nikolai Coster-Waldau on the sidelines for year.

Couple of great lines in that episode.

Tyrion's quip about his cock was great as was Littlefinger's "we both sell fantasies, it just so happens that mine entertain".

Bronn's "For feck sake" when the Sand Snakes appeared was brilliant.

Accurately sums up every viewer's feelings towards them.

OkPsoLwasEitAactuallySrape?EIBmean,IsheThadEagreed to marry him and knew they would have to consummate the marriage so that's consent isn't it?

The dwarf lives until we find a cock-merchant.

There's a line you don't hear every day!

 Best line of the season that. Made me crease.

Who are these cock merchants? And why haven't we been introduced to one before?

That was a nasty episode in more ways than one. Think you lot have covered the reasons why.

Yeah the Dorne sub plot is flat out awful. Loving all the scheming and double crossing from Cersei. Diana Rigg ain't letting that sit though for damn sure.

I counted 1 check this week by Jorah on his arm. Expect that to become a regular feature lest we all suddenly forget.

Theon needs to man up. I thought he was gonna run that odious turd through. It'll be a shame if they kill him off though. There aren't many good villains left. Him and Cersei are the standouts.

The season has been up and down. Overall too slow paced though. I was really looking forward to seeing more of Dorne this season after Oberyn, but they have mostly been a big letdown, except the tanks guy with the huge axe who seems like a bit of a badass.

Daenerys seems to be spending YET ANOTHER season sitting on her ass mostly trying to get her silly subjects in order. The Kings landing story is sort of interesting but I really want to see some proper action and developments, Al the lots at the moment seem like little side-plots, we need something major going on to encompass it all.

But yeah the last scene was quite shocking, I had thought Sansa would grow some balls and learn to play Ramsey a bit, but she hasn't at all.

My GF who I watch with has read most of the books so far, and (not actual spoilers, I'm not stupid)
but rather stuff that has already happened - differences between tv/book
None of Sansas current story arc is in the books apparently.
which is interesting because it means there can be no spoilers for it, as the book readers have no idea what is going on!

Losing her V plates doggy style was impressive though.
