Television Game of Thrones (TV) • The watch has ended

I think thats the point. Barristan might be dead and sacrificed himself to save Grey Worm.
What do you mean? Grey Worm saved Barristan from getting his throat cut. Seems odd to include that if he just died from his other wounds.

Fantastic episode. I also think she will know more about Jons past (and future). More air time for her, the better :D

I agree with most it seemed like that was setting up for some big things later on.

Ill be surprised if Barristan is dead, but given he (and greyworm) pretty much are close to death, Ser Friendzone coming back might be a good time for him and his worth to Dany.

Im glad I didnt watch all the leaked episodes tbh. Forgetting the quality of the leaks (didnt check), but having to watch four eps, then wait a month would have been annoying. I can get by with a week wait given other shows can fill the void in the evening :)

The season has been the worst of any so far IMO

The acting with those women vowing to start a war against the Lanisters was hilarious too

Nice, only another week left then :D

Yep. I, just like you, couldn't resist the temptation and watched the leaked episodes after our game vs City. The wait for a new episode has been pretty agonising since then.

That Thronecast programme is a bit revealing!

Do not watch it unless you want to know the outcome of today's episode. And that is before they show next week's sneak peak.

Yeah, it's sort of annoying having guests that have read the books and then asking them opinions, they basically give away the story as they already know the answers. They've dropped a massive hint about John which I hadn't figured out yet, all makes a lot of sense now though.

I managed to avoid the Jon Snow but. Literally only flicked it on for a few mins but they gave away far more than I expected them too.

Think I'll actively avoid watching it now.

Yeah I don't usually watch it but thought I would see what it's about, it was fine for 9/10s until they asked the guests "what do you think will Happen", and they just clearly couldn't lie

I used to watch Thronecast last season and I thought it was decent, didn't really spoil anything. I did avoid the part where they talk about next weeks episode though.

A certain actor of one of the characters threw a spoiler this week. Out of character for the show. It is better this year too with Sue Perkins presenting. A higher grade of presenter than previously.

Ah, I didn't know Sue Perkins does the show now, that's quite good! Really though, they should have edited that out.

Great scenes between Bronn & Jamie. When Jamie raised his fake hand on the boat and then to stop the sword

Cersei's clearly going to feck over daddy Tyrell. I actually want to see more of the Iron Bank. They seem really mysterious and powerful with nobody wanting to get in their bad books, almost like the mafia.

Brilliant from Cersei to use the religious cult on Loras. I'm loving the 'war' between Cersei & Margaery, that poor bastard king has no idea how he's being manipulated.

Stannis is awesome. Hope he goes on and kicks ass at Winterfell. Still hoping that Jon joins him.

Terrific ending. Finally some action involving Daneyres. Surely she'll stop fecking around with mercy and love bullshit and burn the motherfeckers to the ground with her dragons!

Used to watch Thronecast but at one point they discussed the books and the difference in the books to the episode that had aired. I've avoided it since. Same with IGN's episode reviews who warn people not to post book spoilers, only to make a massive hint to a spoiler themselves in the article.

Was funny seeing Tommen trying to sound like a king to his mother, got a long way to go kid if you want to be on your brothers level.

For a second or two, I thought it was Gendry getting out of the boat at the start of the episode.

Surely he's going to show up again? They can't just send him off in a boat and never mention him again.

IIRC, he can't swim! I'm guessing he didn't make it to King's Landing after escaping Stannis.

I don't think Game of Thrones season 5 is as good as the other 4 seasons at the point in time. Anyone else think that?

I've only just watched episode 2. How stupid is Daenerys for executing that Mossador? She took the advice of Barristan, who knew nothing about the city, when she was set on executing the son of Harpy without trial in the first place. I'm fuming right now.:lol:

Jon Snow Birth Speculation/theory...

Just had an interesting idea pop in my head. We know that Ned was an honourable man... what if Jon wasn't actually Neds child but his sister's Leannes? That would make Littlefingers chat to Sansa in the crypt mean something. So what if Jon Snow is in fact Leannes and Rhaegars son? Leanne fearing for her son's safety asks Ned to adopt him as his bastard knowing that Jon would then be safe in Winterfell. That also makes sense given how reluctant Ned was to talk about his mother and his out of character it was for him to have a bastard in the first place.

Rhaegar was Daenryis older brother and Leanne was Neds dead sister (the one Rob Barath went to war over).

Im 99% certain i got
Jon Snows Mother
ruined for me.

What i read was interesting as feck as well.

What i read was that (Proceed at your own cost, youve been warned if you dont want a potential spoiler):

A targareyan is snows mother. And he has some sort of claim to the throne.

If you look at my theory the same would apply.

Pro-tip: I'd advise against reading those spoilers if you want to remain unsullied. They're potentially quite spoiler-ish...

Why would you Google it!!

I might be wrong anyway, ive been wrong before. But it does make sense. Ill edit the post to make it clear its a theory.

you should spoiler your response, you completely gave away the speculation by telling us what characters you googled .

Sansa and Littlefinger just told the full story about those two in the last episode, did you fall asleep while watching it? How could you not remember them at all? I probably wouldn't have remembered them either before episode 4, but now?

Because I thought they were characters we were supposed to know and I must have forgotten!

I don't think spoilers should be posted, even in spoilers, seeing as though as lot of known information is also posted in spoilers which leads people to read them.

If spoilers are in spoiler tags, the poster has done nothing wrong. Its literally the entire point of spoiler tags.
