Hint that the mountain is indeed still alive.

Cant wait to see what Jon does - especially when he hears Sansa is in Winterfell and is going to marry Ramsey.

He is the Lord Commander of the Night's Watch, unless he breaks his vows, he is not allowed to participate in anything apart from protecting the realm from what lies beyond the wall.
Yes thankyou, i watched the episode so i know all that.

I can't believe he actually chopped his head off!

Arya is terrific. Keen to know more about her assassin buddy and what they're doing. I reckon her story might be a bit slow this season but will build up to something epic. I'm glad she didn't throw her sword in the water.

Excellent scene between Margaery & Cersei, thought it encapsulated how much they hate each other without dragging it on too long.

Didn't see the proposed marriage of Ramsey & Sansa coming. I was a bit disgusted when Sansa met Bolton, the Red Wedding scene instantly came to mind at that point. Quite clever from Bolton & Littlefinger, although I'm not sure if Littlefinger actually cares for her and is giving her a chance to do something or is making a play solely for himself. Either way, he's a genius cnut. Hope he dies a brutal death.

So far we've seen too much of man-beast and Pod. Hopefully their story leads somewhere soon because I'm getting a bit bored with it.

In contrast the scenes between Jon & Stannis are fantastic. I really hope he goes with Stannis.

Tyrion is awesome.

Jon Snow is turning into one hell of a bad ass. He played his hand perfectly with regards to Ser Alliser and Janos Slynt. And that scene between Cersei and Margaery was incredible. Cersei seems to have met her match. They're probably dreaming of ways to torture eachother at night. It might seem not much is happening this season but there's so much politics and intrigue going on. It's fascinating to watch.

Good! I hate that guy, he was the one that betrayed our Ned way back in Season 1 when he was Captain of the Gold Cloaks. I was yelling "kill him" at my tablet! Brienne must have figured out that Sands will head to Winterfell, but how is she going to rescue Sansa when Ramsey will no doubt have a small army with him? Also Littlefinger is such a brilliant character, intrigued to see what he's upto. Also 3 episodes in and still no fecking Bran?

Bran isn't in this season. Him and hodor had a year off from filming

Not sure that's wise, poor lads at the wrong age for that, he's going to come back looking about 30.

His conversation with Davos suggests, possibly, otherwise.

Brilliant episode. Jon is such a badass character. I want to say his my favourite, but am stopping short since it will probably lead to his death lol.
The Cersei / Margaery scene was just something brilliant.

Cant wait to see what happens at Winterfell. The marriage, Stanis marching towards it, the marriage that is all kinds of fecked up.
Speaking of marriage, we had a marriage that didnt end in deaths. Hurrah.

Indeed, he makes a compelling argument. But will the rest of the Nightswatch share that opinion? The wildlings will be the key I imagine. Not sure what to make of this new religious leader, perhaps Cersei has realised that Tommen is a lost cause and hopes to regain her power through controlling religion?

I'm guessing since they've focused quite a bit on the man-beast and she explicitly mentioned in this week's episode she wants to kill him, there will be some sort of fight between her and Stannis. Although I'm hoping she fecks off and we see a proper battle between Bolton & Stannis with Jon also joining in.

Im guessing the same as this or something similar. Will be interesting if Jon does go with Stannis cos he will see Sansa. You have Boltons with Sansa and possibly Brienne there vs Stannis/Jon and their army. Regardless cant wait to see how this plays out.

This keeps getting better and better. Snow looks really like he's ready to take The Watch and beat everyone's ass who's in the way and I doubt Stannis will ever control him.

Still can't forgive Brienne for slaying The Hound but she's a character that can definitely have impact on great deal of things.

Me and the Mrs have started watching this over the past week.. We're now approaching the end of season 3, khaleesi has just been brought 2 heads whilst having a bath :annoyed: .. I'm pretty sure tonight's episode is 'The Red Wedding' - I've heard some stuff about this. Is it as bad as people make out.

I've been told it's "The worst thing I've ever seen on TV"...?!

Nah, not at all. You've probably got way too high expectations right now and you're going to walk away very underwhelmed. People like to overreact, that's all.

hehehe...

Don't expect anything major...

Just skip that episode.

Is your missus preggers by any chance?

Strangely enough my mate has been catching up and hit that particular episode last night. Got a text off him today just saying "What the actual feck!?"

Once I knew he was hitting Season 4 I remembered how good episodes 2 (Joffery's wedding), 8 (Mountain vs Viper) and 9 (Watchers on the Wall) in particular were from that season.

It's funny, during that episode I started cheering for Cersei. Never thought that would happen.

The bitchiness/hatred between Cersei and Margaery is fantastic.

"I wish we had some wine for you, it's a bit early in the day for us."

Yeah, the ultra-not-subtle passive aggression is quality. Talking about how her son was in bed too.

The way I saw the Cersei/Margy confrontation was that Cersei was desperate to call a truce. She looked genuinely broken and was looking to find some way that she could stay in King's Landing to be with her son. But Margaery wasn't having it and forced Cersei into doing what she did.

Yeah I felt sympathy for Cersei and was thinking what a bitch about Margaery then realised, Margaery is only like that to Cersei whilst pretty kind to everybody else (even if shes scheming). And of course Cersei has been the ultimate bitch lol

Episode 8 was a classic example of a GoT episode looking great on reflection due to the mental twist/shock that occurs, but in reality around 80% of the episode was really boring and only the last 10 minutes were quality.

Blackwater is still the show's best episode. It was exhilarating from start to finish.
