Television Game of Thrones (TV) • The watch has ended

Excellent episode, loved the ending. It's amazing how much can suddenly unravel in just one episode.

Great episode. Looks like its over that slump now. I know many predicted Oberyn vs the Mountain but it was great to see it come true, Baelish is such a great character even if his constantly changing accent makes it hard to keep focus. Looks to have taken the mantel of complete dick head from Joffrey.

what a horrible recast they did for the mountain. It cheapens the production when they keep recasting characters. This lad can't act and has a thick icelandic accent. Should have recast the first mountain and have the second one dub his lines. Apart from that a good episode. Aiden Gillen got to kiss Sophie Turner the jammy bastard
I didn't mind this new one (not really bothered about the Moutain's accent.) All I know is that he's better than the last one they cast, who looked like one of the Knights of Ni.

Tyrion has been a special kind of excellent this season, every scene he's been in has been brilliant.
I thought Dinklage was far more impressive in this episode than in the last, which had a slight Emmy-bating feel to it. Regardless, he's done wonders with this role.

Yeah I thought the praise he got for last episode was way over the top. Thought he cheapened the scene by overacting it.

Great episode, wanted to kick Lysa sparta style when she was screaming like an annoying tit, thankfully littlefinger did everyone a favour.

Oberyn is such a boss. The dialogues between him and tyrion was a highlight for me this season.

 overacting? How else do you play a dwarf whose father hates him and is on trial for regicide in a fantasy world full of zombies and dragons?
Well it wasn't the scene it was the end bit with him going full on drama queen with his:

'NO'
*crowd audibly gasps*
'I DEMAAAAND TRIAL BY COMBAT'

It all felt very panto, but maybe that was a problem of the writing more so than his delivery.

You can hear everyone's accent come through now and then. I think Jaime's has slipped a lot.

Dinklage is brilliant really.

Very good episode again. Khaleesi is the worst actress on the show, not even exaggerating.
The kid playing Robin is actually abysmal, I hope he swiftly follows his mother through the moon door so I don't have to suffer through his acting anymore. I don't find Emilia Clarke to be too bad

So it's the cunning, smart prince versus the giant butcher knight with two-handed sword, easily wielded by him in one hand... kinda like Atletico vs Real Madrid.

Show keeps giving, nothing new. Of course Snow and Tyrion being treated like absolute shit in almost every episode is a guilty pleasure to watch but how long will it take before they start bossing ?

Danny's plot got slow a bit, nothing substantially new and I'm afraid she doesn't want to show her tits anymore... unlike the infernal witch.

Dany was the only "good" character left this season. But you can see hints that even she's becoming a bit more calloused and cold hearted.

 Too much of weddings would end this show in five episodes.

True. I agree that we cant have explosive events in every episode. What I am disappointed about is the fact that it is all very predictable this season except for the wedding. The good guys have not done anything clever, brave or rash-but-turned-out-well action this season and still they have had an easy ride out of problems or sometimes have been even just drifting along. What did they do to deserve such an easy time? The bad guys have worked so hard to make the stories interesting and get what they want. Im sorry but I am a bad guys fan. They have made this show what it is. And the tits of course.

Little finger's part when he goes on to tell Sansa that she could have been his daughter and then kisses her was creepy. What's with Sansa taking so much time to pull out?

I guess I have to be the sole dissenter: I've been pretty underwhelmed by this season. It's being carried by Tyrion, rest of it seems to be showing characters just plodding around. This fantasy fiction obsession of following characters as they travel from point A to point B has to feck off. Boring, pointless and when combined with shite acting becomes painful.

I'm hoping Littlefinger will be so infatuated with his Catelyn v2.0 that he'll grow careless and get brutally murdered. I have a feeling Sansa is about to snap and start fecking shit up on her own too.

Yes but so far she still acts like a child and needs to be little fingered to grow a pair.

Although I agree to an extent about some fairly needlessly boring scenes this season, your timing is awful to make a post like this. That episode was golden.

Tyrion was amazing in that scene. Was about to cry with him as Oberyn was telling the story of his childhood. Wow.

Agree to some extent with VP, I don't think it'd be too bad but literally no one gets where they are meant to be going when you think about it! Will arya and the hound actually make it to the vale, highly doubt it! Will the wildlings actually ever attack the wall? Doubtful! Now Brienne is off on her travels, will she actually find the girls? zzzz Khalesi was doing well, you we're thinking she was getting ever so close to actually crossing the sea and maybe doing what she set out to do in the first place....but noooooooooo! off she goes all the way back again!!!

And to top it all off you've the most boring off all the a-z scenarios Bran!! Sorry even writing his name almost sent me into a coma!!!

:mad::devil::mad:

Its always been like this.

Btw, two episodes in a row with no Ygritte! Sort it out!

There's nothing to hate about him, is there? He could easily be the protoganist of the show, if it was that sort of story.

That part where Tyrion was tearing up as Oberyn told his story. :(
