Television Game of Thrones (TV) • The watch has ended

Me too. Brienne/Pod and the Hound/Arya are two great storylines as they both connect with each other well in their own little way, and it looks quite promising for future seasons/episodes.
There is some great chemistry between certain pairs in the show; Brienne/Jamie, Brienne/Pod, Tyrion/Bronn, Hound/Arya. I do enjoy the aforementioned characters scenes more than some of the main storylines like Dany's for instance.

Tywin/anyone or anything.

He could talk to a table for 10 minutes and it would be must see television.

The Hound needs his own spin-off show

Decent episode. Half way through the season now, hopefully things pick up a little.

The scenes between Cersei & Margaery and Cersei & Oberin were excellent. Cersei seemed quite vulnerable and 'human' this week. I felt a bit sorry for her.

Daneyres has appeared in each episode so far I think, I'm getting really bored of her. I'd like it if her dragons ate her.

So Littlefinger is the one who killed the hand of the King?! It appears he's been plotting against the Lannister's for quite some time. Nice little twist there.

Stupid question, but is this 'Iron Bank' an actual bank or some sort of assassin/bad ass cult who lends money? Either way, it seems the Lannister's will have to face up against them in the future.

Arya & the Hound are brilliant. They need to have more screen-time.

Poor Sansa, things can't get worse for her but they do. She's gone from marrying the dwarf reject of the family to potentially marrying her cousin who (in season 1) was still being breast-fed.

Hodor!!! I didn't know Bran could control people as well as his wolf. It may have happened before, but I don't remember.

Cersei being human was her manipulating people I think

Could be, wouldn't put it past her. But it would be nice if she was being genuine. After all, she's had 1 child killed, another in some other land & the other who appears too simple to lead and will probably be corrupted by those around him. Not exactly 'Mother of the year'.

Yup, the potential of the comedy is growing with every episode. It would be called 'Hound & Hodor'. They would be like Han Solo and Chewbacca or Beavis & Butthead, just sitting around on the couch and commenting what's happening on TV.

What a quality season this is.

And if you want some excitement just start a fire.

I think Carcetti will have killed his new wife before any Sansa marriage takes place

It would be too straightforward for him

More likely. The scene when she's talking to Tywin about the trial shows exactly that she wants full vengeance on Tyrion, no matter the investigation.

EDIT: On the other hand, she's also emotionally devastated just like Suarez.

Loved the episode. Brilliant stuff with Cersei in Kings Landing, Arya/Hound was brilliant, Danny was kinda meh but I like the fact that her rule is not necessarily intact in the areas she has conquered, the twist with little finger was shocking and the stuff with Bran beyond the wall was brilliant. Overall I cant recall anything bad in the episode very well done indeed.

Is Emilia Clarke's acting that poor? I don't really see it. Her bleeding heart 'breaker of chains' scenes are a bit over the top but that's just a product of the writing, no?

It's not laughably bad or anything but when you have people like Charles Dance, Peter Dinklage, Lena Headey, Liam Cunningham and the likes all acting brilliantly, she does seem poor by comparison.

I find it funny that she's always being used as the logo or symbol of the TV show. Her storyline has been awful so far and Emilia Clarke leaves a lot to be desired. I guess the dumb masses will attach themselves to anything with tits and dragons.

Well, I guees I'm not the only one who thinks the whole Khaleesi storyline has been the weak point of the show. It looks like a fairy tale with nothing original to keep the viewer interested.

Nah they've invested too much into her storyline, she is clearly going to flip out eventually and cause havoc, but right now her advisers are trying to keep her on a bit of leash.

It is a little annoying how they built her up, and now she's on the sideline again just waiting around. I suppose only fool's rush in though.

It's the Caf. The dragons are optional.

What is the point of attacking at night, if you run straight into the camp shouting? Get your shit together, Jon Snow.

 I thought this... well I mean, a) what difference did it make anyway? they always had the element of surprise, and b) as you said, who runs in shouting!?

On another note, I thought Emilia Clarke's acting this episode was particularly woeful.

Agreed... It really stood out to me too. I think they're trying to turn her character to be more power-crazed/smug/arrogant - and I'm not sure how well she's pulling it off - even though as a charater turn it makes sense.

Still, she's probably the least interesting thing about this show at the moment... well, her and anything to do with Samwell Tarley... Though I imagine Bran will go back to being completely boring after this 2 episodes of being somewhat intruiging.

A Stark reunion would have been nice though - they've teased that too many times now.

Tywin/anyone or anything.

Tywin had me gripped talking about imaginary fiscal worries, without ever actually quantifying any of them... he's been the best character on this show for ages in my book.

Definitely not genuine, definitely manipulative... but that's what she's good at.

I like how Margery is also kind of politcally savvy, and knows how to say/do the right sort of things... but Cersie is so good at it, she can see past anything and everything she tries to do/say.

Does he get the Vale if Lysa dies? Of does it pass on to the brat?

I felt it was a bit of a filler episode this week. Not much happened really.

Why is Bran going after that tree? Is that where he'll find the 3-eyed crow he keeps seeing in his visions or is there more significance to it?

It's bizarre isn't it. People actually want major events to happen in every episode.

It's getting very repetitive now, and I think people are expecting a wedding-style event to happen in every episode. You get a huuge reveal from Lysa and Littlefinger, nice little cameos from the crowd favourites such as the Hound and Oberyn, and a rare exciting moment from the North in the form of a battle. Some people are incredibly hard to please.
