Television Game of Thrones (TV) • The watch has ended

Littlefinger was behind Jon Arryns death? Did not see that coming at all. Dudes a bigger cnut than joffrey in my books now.

Spoilered it, incase no one had seen it yet.

Wtf is that supposed to be?

That women was abused by that mutiny leader guy. And that guy used to keep her by his side. So she killed him and when jon snow puts a sword through his mouth, he falls down besides her which is kind of saying that there was a reversal in situation.

Im a little confused. Why was that guy trying to kidnap Bran?

He's part of Roose Bolton's crew. No idea what his motives were though.

Edit - Well Bran is still the heir to Winterfell. I guess Roose needs both Bran and Rickon dead. Still, don't know how joining the Night's Watch made him think it'll lead him to Bran.

I like the actress playing Shae, mostly because she was hot in the film Head-On. There's pornographic material of her on the web, apparently.
Oh I'm aware

Theon told him, Roose and Ramsay that Bran and Rickon were still alive. One of them supposed that they'd go to Jon at Castle Black so Locke went there.

There are so many plot lines in this show that it's hard to get really invested in anything. Tbh I've found the last couple of episodes pretty underwhelming. And the acting's not even that good.

If Roose wanted him dead, then why didn't Locke just kill him then and there?

I don't think that Roose Bolton just wanted him dead. It's the reason why Sansa and Arya were not killed at King's Landing. It's best to have these children of royal lineage alive as they'll be later used for political mileage and bargain. They'll have a claim to lordship for a province and that could come in handy.

The leader of those guys must die and it better be gruesome.
Hell yeah. Right through the back of his skull.

Yeah, that didn't make much sense to me.

Anyway, really enjoyed that episode. Especially the ending, for a show that doesn't do textbook happy endings, it's probably as close as we're going to get.

Evil mutineer leader rightly killed in grisly fashion: check.
Women safe: check.
Bran and all his crew safe: check.
Direwolves alive (hurray!): check.

Even Bolton's stooge was killed.

Daenerys is ignoring Kings Landing and she's going to free all the slaves......again. Can't wait.

Littlefinger is probably the most dangerous fecker in this show. He's been scheming and plotting since the start.

Sansa can't catch a break. First she was married to Joffrey, then Tyrion (who is cool, in fairness) and now she has to wed that little freak. Plus her parents and brother have been slaughtered. Poor Sansa.

I'd like to see more of Oberyn, he's an interesting character.

Arya and The Hound spin-off. Make it happen.

When Theon admitted to Ramsey that he didn't kill Rickon and Bran he also told Ramsey the boys will be heading for Castle Black because Jon is there. So he joined the Night's Watch under the assumption that the boys will probably show up there eventually.

…who is also her cousin…

Lysa (sp?) is such a weirdo too - so interesting to learn of her and Littlefinger poisoning and misleading people all the way back in season 1

So with todays revelations that it was Lysa that poisoned John Arryn and Joffrey dead the Lannister's are becoming an awfully likeable bunch.

Makes you think this whole "war" is solely down to him.

Good episode, really didn't see Beylish being the one who poisoned Jon Arryn. Will need to think a bit more on that but it doesn't seem to make much sense, telling the Starks that it was the Lannisters who were the ones who killed him.

Also very little Dany, who in displaying some self awareness asked why people should follow her. Why indeed? Then summed up why her storyline is so boring by deciding to stay in Essos and free the slaves...again.

I think, or rather I hope, there would be a twist in her story now. So far she has destroyed all in her path with flawless victories, but they should at least put her in a tight spot so that watching that part of the show is interesting and not just her going back and displaying the viewers some new power the dragons are now capable of. It was really lame, though.

She's been going to all these cities, don't they have an army of their own? She's not had to fight a proper battle yet, and thus incurred any loses of her own. It's getting ridiculous, there being hardly any struggle on her part to liberate these places.

Well she stole Astopor's army. Then it was Yunkai where we saw a small fight where Ser Barriston, Lord Friendzoned and NotAndyCarrollAnymore had to fight a few foot soldiers and few minutes later they came back with the flag of the city telly Dany the city was hers, assuming the Unsullied defeated any army they had.

She has basically removed the masters and slavers of these cities and the army has happily switched camps and joined her as they think she liberated them and provided freedom.

There;s just no point of showing her going back and doing that again, even if in a different manner. If this turn means her losing someone in her ranks, maybe Carroll v2.0, then at least it would be of some importance in the story.

I thought that most show watchers would have forgotten all about Jon Arryn's poisoning since it was so long ago, but reading around different forums, apparently not.

Good episode, even if a few scenes were exposition heavy. Gonna miss Locke and Karl, they were good villains.

Martin has said he wants the series to feel realistic, and in a real war there are more than just a few people involved, there are hundreds. The many different characters, nations and religions help bring the world to life IMO. A lot of them might not have a direct impact on the story, but they still serve a purpose.

They could devote every episode to Arya/the Hound or Bronn/Tyrion/Pod and I'd love it. Such brilliant dialogue.

Fun episode but both villains' deaths were so unsatisfying. Jon needed help from a girl, and Locke... well, what can I say, that scene was both badass and disappointing, I expected so much more from Locke after all the hype (have you seen what I can do with knives?). Plus no one really witnissed his death or figured out his identity which made it a bit more disappointing.

S2 E7 at the end when the corpses ("Bran and Rickon") are burnt and are hanging within Winterfell. What is the track which plays?

Blasphemy!!!

Ygritte is the sexiest girl on the show!

Who would you prefer?

Sansa? The bitch keeps crying.
Cersei? That old hag can burn in hell.
The Targaryen girl? She's cute but being cute can only get you so far, ygritte is better.
Tyrion's whore? She's cute as well but Ygritte is better.
The Tyrell girl isn't cute at all, she looks like a little piglet ffs.

Ygritte is just stunning.

Ygritte's too skinny.

Missandei's awesome. Then again, I've always loved naturally tanned women. But I wouldn't kick Daenerys out of my bed.

That's reminded me, I've got to go masturbate thinking about Ygritte now...
