Nobody is saying that he played like Ronaldo + Zidane + Messi into one against a top top team..

I felt that he was rather promising from his movement and stuff, no doubt blackburn were tiring and were trying to get a goal, thus opening up more space, but his pace was obvious as well as his tendency to keep things simple, which i felt was better than Nani for that particular game, and you don't need many games to just observe that his game has potential and he is a prospect...

Played well on Saturday, displayed intelligence something of which a certain man he replaced seems to seriously lack. Obertan has got the essentials in great abundance but the old age comments about him needing to bulk up seem valid in this instance.

I reckon with a year or two of good gym work and nutrition advice, he will be transformed into a player more than capable of physically toying with his markers. Even if he loses a yard of pace, the lad looks clever enough to more than cope

i have a good feeling about obertan, the same good feeling when i saw giggs for the first time some 17 years ago.

Could you just be needing the toilet?

Great cameo, dare I say he was the reason why we got one point. His link-up with Evra changed our game.

He was even better than he's been for the reserves.

The guy makes football look simple, plays great short passes.. and I liked his double stepover.

Did well, given he only had 10 minutes to impress.

Very fleet-footed. We'll definately be using him alot during the season.

Good appearance from him tonight, showed some good touches.

Shocked he was let go for so cheap, regardless of the alleged 'mental weakness', because he's got plenty of potential.

Would like to see how he does when the game's not as stretched as it was, and he's got less space to work in.

I'm sorry but this guy is already further up in the pecking order than Nani IMO. He showed so much composure and class in such a short time on the pitch. Nani was useless again.

I think Obertan definitely has that mercurial air about his game, and his kick to the back of the guys legs tonight was great to see. He's got a bit of fire too.

Should have started based on that, or atleast got on when Rooney did.

As comically inept as his league debut performance was, there were some real signs of quality tonight. Great pace, runs at his man, plays a nice fecking simple ball not doing too much with it... he could be a bloody good player all being well

He looked fantastic. More of him, please.

I would like to see the guy shoot and cross, just to learn more about his game.. but the anticipation I get whenever I see him get the ball is a good feeling to have.

although he looks comedy, he means business.

I was impressed with his cameo tonight

Should be ahead of Nani in the pecking order now. Won't start against the Chavs but I know who i'd rather have on the bench.

Was impressive tonight, it was the first time my dad had seen him and he really liked the look of him.

Great, but I won't be able to sleep until I get your cousin's opinion as well.
