Gabriel Jesus | Arsenal

Wow that's surprising, the injury seemed really innocuous at first. That's modern boots for you though, no protection at all.

Did his foot get trodden on?

That would be a massive blow for City, kids come in and settled well and produced immediately.

Should be back in a month or so, broken metatarsals heal very quickly most of the times, the best type of injury you could have really(not that any injury is good news).

Is that confirmed?
Have a feeling he'll be more time out of the pitch due the injuries rather playing..

Tell that to Rooney. Fecked him up badly.

Why were people questioning the injury in the first place? Did you watch the game? He wanted to carry on himself.

It depends. When I broke mine, it was a bit of a weird break in terms of the exact location and how the bone moved. It took 3 months for it to heal and it had to be in a walking boot for about a month. It also never went back to the place it should be (no pain or effect on movements but looks slightly weird in an x-ray).

Granted it was a bit of an abnormal break but my point is there is too many details for a general assessment to be true without knowing more about the specifics.

3 months out. Tough loss for City & Pep. I never believed his signing was going to make an enormous impact for the 2nd half of the season but rather a great potential signing longterm. Nevertheless, unfortunate for City & their title hopes. Kun will have to come correct

2-3 months? That's pretty much the whole season, bar a game or two during the run-in. That's tough for the young lad.

Out for the rest of the season? LOL I dont wish and injury on the lad himself, hes only 19 and was excited to be a big player in a small pond. But for City as a club L-O-L. 3 GOALS in 3 GAMES wow, think I was right about the flop thing.

Feel sorry for him to be honest.

When is Marlos Moreno at City?

Ah, that's tough on him if true - the best way for him to settle in Manchester, is by playing week in, week out.

Not too bad,

Jesus plays for one of our fiercest rivals and has been ridiculously over-hyped. Nothing personal but happy hes out as any advantage at this stage is key for our season.

I didn't mean to say it was a cruel call or anything, just a terrible prediction :D

Doctor: Broken metatarsal?
Jesus: No. Just a twisted ankle.
Doctor: What?
Jesus: Eh, twisted ankle for me. They said I hadn't done anything bad and I could go back to Manchester now.
Doctor: Oh, oh that's jolly good well. Off you go then.
Jesus: No, I'm only pulling your leg, it's broken metatarsal really!

If you ignore a handful of tools getting carried away and calling him the new Pele I don't think he has been "ridiculously over-hyped". 19 y.o. Brazilian arriving in England, stealing Kun's place (I admit it might be more about Pep than Jesus being better than Kun, but still he managed to convince Guardiola), scoring and assisting a few in his first games and looking really good on the pitch - the hype around him is as justified as it was when we were ecstatic about Martial. Remember that Jesus is not some random youngster but he was actually considered enormously talented back in Brazil (arguably their most promising teenager), so I think it is fair to say he definitely deserves the credit for that first couple of games here in Europe.
City might have landed a real gem and I see no reason to ignore that.

He has a lot to prove before hes anywhere near Martials level. Golden Boy, FA Cup semi final goal, goal vs Liverpool, most of Martials wonder goals, Top goal scorer in first season. So far Jesus has scored 3 tap ins.

I agree with all of this. He wasn't an unknown commodity when he moved to City, he's a Brazilian international after all.

First time I've been heart broken on Valentines Day :(

The hype around Martial started long before he won a Golden Boy. I never said Jesus is at Martial's level just yet, merely stated that the enthusiasm after first couple of games is as justified as it gets - he had a perfect start at City, I honestly can't imagine a better one. And he showed much more than "3 tap ins", I was genuinely impressed by his movement, vision and confidence. so here's hoping he leaves Citeh as soon as possible and fecks off to Spain as they don't deserve him

I'm not too worried. He'll probably lock himself up in his house and come out in 3 days like nothing happened...

Good stuff. Not a career-ender so he'll be fine by next season but a blow to City's top four hopes (and CL campaign) all the same. Hope this is true and not FAKE NEWS.

Harsh.

I don't think this is really that big blow for them anyway, for all Guardiola's principles I still doubt playing Aguero over him could be considered as a big blow to them. Good thing is that they won't have anyone to rotate with Aguero with CL coming up.

Aguero and Pep clearly aren't working well together. City's recent upturn in form/results coincided with this bloke getting into the team. That's not a coincidence.

albeit current form aside, playing Aguero over Jesus is not a bad thing. Anyone suggesting it is, is a fecking pleb Aguero is better ffs

I still believe he is getting massively overhyped. The reaction to this is as if it ends City's season. Good grief, talk about flapping

Just means Aguero can play in the derby at our place. You lot love Aguero, don't you.
