Gabriel Jesus | Arsenal

City and Pep was the best move out of all the interested parties. He would probably rot in Spain with either of the big two at this point in his career. We already have one Gabriel wasting away in Europe as it is.

Agreed. He's hardly had the same impact as Martial or Rashford yet.

Two bog standard goals and neat play. Nothing that's made me think wow like when Martial came on and netted against Liverpool.

He's scored 3 and got an assist in 2 starts, including an injury time winner. I'd say that's a similar impact.

190 minutes in to his City career, what more could he have done? He needs time before being judged, but the signs are very promising.

Looks a freaking bargain. How did they get him for less than bloody Benteke

Aguero won't be happy to be an option of the bench will he? I wonder what will happen to him if Jesus sustains good form till the summer transfer window.

I know he said that he wants to go back to Argentina but I can't see that happening at 28. Barca won't be interested, neither will Bayern or Juve which leaves Madrid and the premier league clubs. Time for an Arsene 40,000,001 bid I guess?

Bet365 is offering 5/2 on him score 10 goals or more in the league this season, tempted to put some dough on it. Great piece of business by City, he always look so dangerous when he has the ball. An absolute steal for just 27 million.

I think he will follow the well trodden path of a hundred young players before him of a hot streak upon arrival followed by a fairly lengthy drought.

It's a combination of confidence being sky high and opposition having very little footage and information on his game. Once they start recognising his patterns and knowing his weaknesses they will learn to track and usher him a bit better and he will find it harder.

I think 10 goals will be a push.

This particular young player was voted best player in the Brasileiro and has 5 goals and 3 assists in 6 matches for Brazil. I think he will be a star personally, said as much months ago.

Edit: Make that a year or so.

Yeah I think so too. I still think he'll follow that same pattern this season.

Ah ye, i see. That's a reasonable prediction. Crazy to think he's already making an impact already when you consider his circumstances.

I will wait before judging him see how he is when the going gets a bit rough, still sticking to my point though. He has done nothing different to what Rashford did, but he is shit asccording to them. Weird that

Waiting for them to say he is better than Costa or Sanchez or something soon... be just like them

I know it's City and I was disgusted by this cnuts getting carried away, calling him the new Pele already, yet I'm actually quite gutted for Jesus today. I want him to be a flop, but not because of injuries.

My ML leader in fantasy league has him as a captain though

Guy played (and scored) away at one of the toughest stadiums in world football in Quito, Ecuador but yeah he didn't fancy it at Bournemouth. Is this another one of those "Messi won't cut it in the prem/ Cold, windy night at Stoke" blabber?

No shame in losing out to such defensive paragons as Simon Francis and Charlie Daniels.

They're finding out the extent of the injury today so unless GE is itk, i'd ignore him.

More like he pulled a sicky because he didn't want to risk injuring himself in such a lowly fixture when he has the CL coming up.

That’s a pity for the guy, but at least we'll get to see some gorgeous new t-shirts.
