The acid test is August 12th as their league campaign begins then and they will certainly want everyone registered by that point, as of right now Christensen is the only one they have managed to fit in so they face starting the season with Lewa, Kessie and Kounde in the stands.

I’m no lawyer, but if Frenkie stays his lawyers will force payment of the deferred wages. When, who knows? But deferred wages will eventually have to be paid.

But EtH is already on record saying he will only move for the correct type of player. If that player isn't available, then we will use a player from within the squad. Personally, there are very limited players who have FdJ skillset. So, any alternative would have been identified, as very few of them around.
Also, I'm pretty sure EtH would be aware of the situation before any journalist on FdJ's situation. So fans really need to stop stressing. EtH and team will know what's happening and will act accordingly.

It is unlikely that we could sign someone else of FdJ’s quality, but there are players out there that could infinitely improve our weakest area.

But he can coach footballers. That’s his job, and we certainly have a bunch of talented footballers who are crying out to be organised and coached into a team rather than a collection of individuals. What we’ve seen in preseason is already very promising.
Man, as in so many aspects of life, this group of people acts mostly as other groups on all sorts of aspects. They go for the least complex and easiest route. All the Barca bashing is just there so they don't have to think about actual alternative routes. You see some explanations are lined up already "Barca has to do this...", "Barce needs to do that...", "if the player does that, then I don't even want him" ,yadda yadda yadda. Losing focus on the task at hand, improving this football team at all costs. Its a shame, as I feel, our club takes the exact same route: go for a good player, seemingly have no worthy plan B in place, and be ready to remind everybody that we wanted to provide the player the manager wanted and that we did all we could... All while the situation regarding midfield isn't even sooo complicated. It isn't like we are stocked or something, we could just go for another midfielder without stopping the pursuit of FDJ.
