Of course Gerard
You won't believe what this couple found buried under their house.......
Of course Gerard
Why not Utd pay the 13 mil for Barca? Then Barca owes Utd the money in installments?

We’ve played a blinder keeping De Jong!Eh? If he doesn’t leave, Barca can’t register their signed players so he gets a massive wage hike next season and they get left with 2 players on the sidelines. Not a blinder at all.
It's okay we'll send the bailiffs round to get him.
That money isn’t getting repaid mate, everWhy not Utd pay the 13 mil for Barca? Then Barca owes Utd the money in installments?
It's not completely nonsensical...I'm sorry, what?
How can we be on the hook for what they owe a player they signed to a stupid contract? In what world would that even make sense?
(Not addressed to you personally, just the sheer cheek of Barca to even suggest such a thing.)
"Can't pay, we'll take him away"Good idea...tell Erik send in the 'heavies'... if he won't come...then...threaten to divert his plane to Rwanda
Sure, why not. They can reduce the fee we're willing to pay by whatever amount they owe him. We then pay him as part of his wages over the course of his contract. Why not Utd pay the 13 mil for Barca? Then Barca owes Utd the money in installments?

The legal action is only viable if Barcelona don’t insist as part of his sale that the buying club pay those wages, which it sounds like the definitely are. They won’t leave themselves open to getting sued if he leaves. He’s probably have to stay there until his contract runs out before he could sue them, I would bet the contract states the money is payable on his release from the club.Sure, why not. The other option is he sues the feck out of Barca for his past wages which they will have to pay regardless of whether he's still employed by them or not.
I can see them wanted him to sign an agreement stating he relieves them of all past wages if he's sold but I'd hope he wouldn't be daft enough to do that.

Not much@Berbaclass since you're responsible for this thread wether you want it or not, I'm back for the evening shift. What did I miss?
You don't need to know Catalan to know that Barcelona are not going to want players in return when they can't even register their new signings, let alone have another 2 more.I'm guessing you're referring to this article, right? Here's the relevant passage:
Basically, Chelsea want to involve Frenkie de Jong in the departures of Marcos Alonso and Azpilicueta. Barcelona want to make €80m out of the sale, and Chelsea want to offer €60m + both of the full backs. There's no mention of Barcelona rejecting this in the literal sense, but I can see how this passage can imply that Barcelona want cash only. Someone with a good grasp of Catalan can probably help us out here.
They're still quite keen on Azpilicueta and Marcos Alonso. Edu Polo also reported today that Barcelona want to seal the Azpilicueta signing before they go on their pre-season tour. You don't need to know Catalan to know that Barcelona are not going to want players in return when they can't even register their new signings, let alone have another 2 more.

If you believe the papers, Barcelona is interested in everybody. The reality is they can't afford anybody. No idea if Chelsea are in for De Jong but Barca are absolutely in for Azpi and Alonso.
Ah yes, spend more money for players they can't register. They're still quite keen on Azpilicueta and Marcos Alonso. Edu Polo also reported today that Barcelona want to seal the Azpilicueta signing before they go on their pre-season tour.
I do love how they continue to go for players whilst knowing they can't actually afford them. Top notch stuff. No idea if Chelsea are in for De Jong but Barca are absolutely in for Azpi and Alonso.
I'm actually not 100% sure who he is.Is the source any good? Seems like someone reading the caf and easing the minds of faint hearted muppets
Not really. He's typically on El Chiringuito, so that should give you enough of an idea on how reliable he is.Is the source any good? Seems like someone reading the caf and easing the minds of faint hearted muppets
Ahh fair enough, sorry. Not really. He's typically on El Chiringuito, so that should give you enough of an idea on how reliable he is.

Because I'm a top class muppet.@Berbaclass you have over 1,100 posts in this thread.
Why?!
is this the worst transfer saga we’ve had? I’m sure I enjoyed the Pogba and Sancho ones more, this feels flat, or am I just getting too old for this?!
