Dont promote this stuff. Some are connected way too deeply with this club than you can imagine so atleast you can do is stop telling others what to do.
Toxic positivity is a very real thing but also very irrelevant to whatever you’re saying. Unless you’re saying any positivity is toxic and any negativity is fine (there is also toxic negativity, which has flooded this place)

The panic and craziness in silly season is just part of the game. It’s like this every year. I can’t remember a time it was all just happy posts. I love it tbh

Keep cool guys, EtH will get it done

I think it'll get done too, he's too important for us to walk away from the deal because of money. I wonder what the meltdown will be like if we signed just FdJ and one other player this summer.

People absolutely cacking themselves after every single non-story twitter post a handful of days into the window

Have to wonder how any of you cope with having to watch our actual games.
@croadyman's baldness is not genetic, it's stress from reading twitter posts

Seriously?! You're implying that the relentlessly negative ones on here are more connected to the club than the ones that aren't, which is just a load of rubbish.

At this point, individual's spamming their pessimism is affecting practically every thread on the forum. It's a bit pathetic.

That would cause a huge meltdown

I think Frenkie will come, but don't think there's a panic like this every season. This season it was imperative to get business done even earlier than what should be normally considered "early".

Its in Murtough and Arnolds hands for the fee now anyway, not ETH :(

Spot on @ayushreddevil9 you might want to reflect on this for future

What has increased the frustration among fans compared to previous window compared to our other managers first seasons is this time around we seem to be going for the bigger harder deal first.
Mourinho landed Bailly first.
Ole landed Dan James first.
Both this deal helped to calm the fans while the Maguire and Pogba sagas were on the way.

Yeah but we need 5-6 players. Ain't not time for messing about

Id high five you right now if I could.

Eh it's about priorities. I doubt we get both, and for me, RW is a much bigger need than CB. Lindelof can be a decent player, Maguire can be decent, Varane can be world class. It's not the worst group to have, they're just underperforming and the team hasn't been coached well. Our wing options though, we have Sancho, Rashford, Elanga as the only options for both wings. Ronaldo and Martial our forwards. None of them are naturals on the right. Antony would at least balance that out by giving us a main option on the right, effectively replace Greenwood, and let us use Rashford and Elanga as the rotation options rather than have them as starters (in positions they aren't naturals in). If Rashford hits form again, then we have Sancho, Antony and Rashford rotating for the 2 wing spots and pushing each other on, whereas if we ignore it, than we are relying on Rashford finding form and Elanga being the rotation option and nobody past him, which is nowhere near good enough.

Anyway, I'll be a happy camper if we manage to sign Frenkie De Jong even if we do nothing else. He'd be a transformative signing. Will be sad if he doesn't come.

It is like you are reading my mind my friend! 110% agree with this.

I just feel that Timber gives us more options since he can play CB/RB/CDM.

And i think Bruno could play RW some matches since Ten Hag is about control and it does not look as bad if Bruno loses the ball in the opposite end of the field.

Just not relevant is it. I’m invested deeply with this club and for that very reason I find reasons to be positive. If you are constantly looking for the negatives everywhere that’s all you will find. That’s not “toxic positivity” it’s called glass half full rather than empty. People need to get a grip, the club has made mistakes but give it some time to recitify them before stripping like toddlers. If we do crap summer business I’ll be right there stropping come the end but let’s leave it till then ey.

Hear. Hear!

They need to warn fans not to be standing bear windows or ledges during the transfer windows. Mass hysteria

Thread is unbelievable, though we have seen it before. Don’t hang on every tweet guys, read between the lines. If I may….

1) Frenkie is still a Barca employee so he has to walk the line with them. He can’t simply announce ‘feck Barca, I’m of the Manchester our kid - daddy Erik has rescued me from this Catalan nightmare!’
We knew from the start that Barca was his choice, but the choice isn’t his - he will be sold like it or not.

2) Who cares that he is on holiday? You think he is negotiating his own transfer?!! :wenger: Romeros original tweet stated the date of 30th June. There is time, plus we know ETH wants his squad together late in the month to train before the tour. FDJ is a key part of that. It will happen.

3) We should walk away. Really? This guy isn’t some other player - he will be the pivot of our whole game. The team will revolve around him. Yea we need a DM along side and a RW and yadda yadda but FDJ is the one you get first because then it doesn’t matter the name of the players around him, you can buy ‘attributes’ and Frenkie will orchestrate.

FDJ is on holiday and relaxed about the situation, and so should we all be. This will happen - he is coming.
CHOO CHOO!

It is really really embarrassing. The guy doesn't want to come to united.

It's like the ugly guy asking the hot girl out and getting rejected but not accepting she's not interested in you.

Really pathetic behaviour.

Move on to more realistic targets.

Game changer? They will get money for loans which are due which is after selling 25% of their Tv revenue and 49% of merchandise revenue for 25 years. They will be fine in short term but no matter what they do, future isnt that bright.

Also even after these, they still need money to register new players. This deal doesn’t solve that issue. If they are foolish then they will use the money to register new players and dig a bigger hole than what they already in.

I did not say that.

What I did say is that nobody knows how much one is connected to the club so telling them to do what apparently is fine for 'you' doesn't make sense.

Also, if you find people's postings a 'forum' pathetic, maybe its not a platform for you.

Nobody is looking for constant negatives. All I am saying is I don't blame people who happen to get a bit pessimistic at this stage having witnessed similar patterns for the last NINE years.

I think you don't understand why barcelona is willing to activate its levers. Its not about liquidity. Laporta got recently a 500m loan from Goldman&Sachs. They have money. It's just that Laliga doesnt allow barca to use that money for transfers, because they have a negative equity capital. Its purely for LaLiga's ffp rule. If barca sells its 15-25% tv rights, then they'll get a positive equity capital instantly and then Laliga will allow ro register and transfer new players.

New team, new manager. Fresh start, new beginnings.

Why keep dragging up the past? Not good for your mental health

Er, yes they are. Let's not pretend there hasn't been a wave of over the top pessimism flooding this place recently.

He said he is happy at barca

You think he is saying it for fun ? Being cryptic? What some other guy said "that he can't come out and say he wants to leave" so he says he is happy at barca but really deep down in his heart he wants to leave and play in the Europe league with Manchester United? Is that what it is ? Have you double guessed what the guy thinks and wants to do ? Keep clutching at straws mate. Will end up starting the season with mcfred . Fdj is not going to Manchester United. And if he does then it will be against what he wants. So he will be a player who won't exactly be ecstatic for joining the ETHalution.

I miss the days of sitting in front of teletext for the slightest slither of transfer news. Better than the avalanche of rubbish these days.

I'll be honest there is a level of constant anger and frustration that I can't understand when it comes to United. It's pretty obvious that some fans are gloryhunters or have no sense of perspective, so many posters wouldn't be able support less fortunate football clubs or teams in other sports where success and financial disparity isn't as large as it is in Football.

What if the hot girl was getting dumped by her boyfriend and noone else wants her?

Fair weather fans. Embarassing.

As someone who can vaguely remember United being relegated, the past few years really have been par for course for Pre-Fergie days.

These United 'fans' better start getting used to it or find a new club to 'support'.

Anger and fruastration would be relative do you not think?
You would be less angry if your club did not have funds to compete. Its quite different when they do but mess up due to sheer incompetence don’t you think?

The harsh truth.
