We have to be quite pragmatic in my opinion. We can't feck this one up - if we're in the market for a winger or a CB next summer, we're royally fecked.
We'll need a CM and a RB next summer, so it'll be one of GK or ST.
I'd be tempted to give Henderson a season as a starter next summer, with a permanent GK coming in Summer 2024. But it really depends on what's available on the market. If there's a sure thing goalkeeper available next summer, get them and wait another year for the ST.
I’m not sure you can make that choice. We’re 100% going to need a no.9 next summer - Ronaldo will go if he hasn’t already by then. I don’t think Henderson will play for United again. I can see a scenario where De Gea gets extended by a year or two unless Leeds go down and Meslier becomes available for example. Lord only knows who the striker target will be.
