Wouldn’t know what to do with myself if we somehow secured both Frankie and Antony. Just realised De Jong is spelt Frenkie not Frankie ;)

If he does take a pay cut then feck me, he needs new agents or he’s just being cucked by Barca.

Has spent literally all summer digging his heels in about not reducing his wages and staying at Barca. Only to cave in at the last minute, lose out on €17M and be on less money.

Nah sorry even if I was playing for Man Utd and they did that shit to me, the team I’ve supported my whole life, I’d be on the phone to my agents to get me a new club & I’d stink up the place. No one treating me THAT badly and I’m sticking around.

It wouldn't be a surprise to me if this happened. I have said all summer that Barca have Frenkie by the b**** rather than the other way around.

They know how desperate he is to stay, I mean he is willing to forego his owed wages and take a pay cut according to Romero.

He wants to play CL but I would love to see him in the Europa League come February playing out of position.

Only 6 more days of this.

FDJ will stay with Barca
FDJ will sign in next 6 days
FDJ wil sign with Chelsea
FDJ will sign with Liverpool

In order of what's most likely to happen.

I'd say 70% chance he stays at Barcelona, 20% chance he joins United, 10% chance of Chelsea 0% Liverpool!

All braithwaite wants is €5M why would he be in London, he doesn't even want a club, he's happy to be a free agent. More likely to be for FDJ in my opinion.
From the barca sub-reddit :

"Same agency, but Dursun doesn't represent Braithwaite, Hasan Cetinkaya does."

I have no idea who these people are or if this is true, but it got posted here.

I dont want to say "I said so"....;)

Letting yourself be treated like that…

C'mon. Would you be surprised? There's a reason Dutch football has constantly fallen short. Not enough grit.

I'll change my mind soon as FDJ tells Barca off and signs for United.

Happy Frenkie Friday folks, this is the last Friday that Frenkie will be a Barca player. Excited to see how he lines up with Casemiro.

If he truly wants to stay then fair play. I think its a huge mistake personally. With Bayern and Inter in the CL group I dont see them as going through necessarily and cant see past Real Madrid for La Liga. And yet to avoid absolute catastrophe they need to start winning either or both in the next few years. So the future is uncertain for them!

Romero is the worst journalist doing everything for clicks. Fabrizio said many times that Frenkie and his agent won't take a pay cut and will stay only on his current salary.

So Muppets i think in the end we will get our boy Frenkie and i think the day which we get him is 1 day before deadline day.:devil:

This Saga will end in tears of joy ^^ .

Playing as a cb in the semi where martial and Anthony tear him to bits.

This is win-win for us tbh, if FDJ stays at BCN after everything they have done, his mentality and drive are massively compromised and it's best we avoid him. If he decides to leave, it shows he backs himself, has confidence, and has a spine. We need the latter, not the former.

Either a reduced contract to stay, or I can see a very late loan deal. Probably an Mbappé type of loan which will become permanent next year. Loan would help our budget too, and can probably be agreed quickly.

Or they offload a few players like Depay, aubameyang etc so they can register Kounde and keep de Jong, at least for now?

He's held out this long. Why would he cave with the finish line in sight?

If Barca want him gone they need to incentivise him to go.
The only way that I see it making any sense would be if his new contract contained more concrete clauses regarding the money he's owed and how he will receive it if he were to leave the club. I'm sure he'd accept one more year in Barcelona at further reduced wages if he had an out next summer with all his deferred wages being paid in full.
