If Chelsea have any sense they'll distance themselves from all this and not get caught in the middle like we have.
Absolutely. They're such a fine, upstanding club, they shouldn't get involved in such dirty, scruffy transfers. They should leave it to the bottom dwellers like us haha

Barcelona can't register their players with the 4th economic lever and will have to raise €60m through the sale of players or other income.

If only they had a player they could quite easily sell for €80m, give that player the €20m they owe him out of that and have the required €60m left over.

Have to think of ETH here , he’s witnessed the ultimate capitulation Vs Brighton and his major target for the summer is definitely not happening.

I think there has to be some stark realisation now what the job is he’s walked into and he may just say any midfielder will do that has something about them. Wecan kick on again once we have CL football it’s massive in the player market it seems.

Fans would ultimately be pissed at the Glazers, ETH is as good as it could get for United in terms of managers that are not Klopp or Guardiola.

Truly could not think who that would be...

Paul Pogba, oh wait wrong club this is about Barca

He would seriously make a better Peter Parker than all the previous actors.

Imagine if we sign FDJ on a free transfer. I would pray that his sign on fee is exactly 17m in an envelope which says “Barca send their love”.
Or "the Glazers send their regards" but without the stabby betrayal

How the feck would he have to return his salary when he took a paycut for the first two years of the new contract? Surely they now legally owe him a fortune in unpaid wages? What is going on?
The problem is, there is criminality in his current contract. So essentially he owes them money now, not vice versa

I just can't see how that would hold up anywhere. If his contract is actually void then surely he wasn't eligible to play for them? Wouldn't it just revert to his previous contract anyway? Also they claim there was criminality. Possibly stupidity was involved but criminality seems far fetched at this point.

Nothing in this saga makes any bloody sense. It's a cornucopia of legally dubious and outright nonsensical theories sprinkled with a solid dose of drama that wouldn't feel out of place in a Latino American soap opera.

Next week Barcelona will be asking their players to pay them for the privilege of playing for their club....

Yeah don't worry Jason he will join Chelsea and you can rub it in all Utd fans faces
Unless he signs for United and then Chelsea says they were never in for him and it was their very own Sneijder situation

Yes I know its unlikely but you never know!

All these words to write telenovela.

if there was criminality, it was criminality on behalf of Barcelona board in the first place. So essentially Barcelona are accusing… well… Barcelona of criminal affairs with their players. It’s beyond stupid - but it’s the way it is :D

I must admit, at this point I've lost entirely track of who has done what and what is legal and not.

Is it even legal to have footballers sign contracts at all any longer? I don't even know.

They’ve got a promising midfielder who not many people have heard about this summer.

Chelsea's 'Caf in meltdown' thread will have some absolute gems from this thread when he's competing with KDB for the best midfielder in the league with them lot

Stopped paying attention when we were 1/20 at one point in this saga, just shows how it can totally flip
Betting odds really are the worst way to judge a transfer aren't they? Literally one journo can change odds in a second.

I wonder how much big ol 'Arry affected odds the other day??
