Probably used the info from Ornsteins article, unless Barca have done a nice little brief of their own... hmmmThat took a while. The Times Sport article that's associated with this was published 5 hours ago at around the same time as Ornstein's Athletic article.
Chelsea have no better chance at the PL than we do tbh.Playing in the champions league and fighting for the premier league and maybe paying the wages he wants.

It's Delaney... have you read the article?
This alone tells you what you need to know. It's all about getting the buying club to pay his deferred wages. Barca are hurrying United up it seems. Theres nothing new in that article at all, it's another opinion piece with no sources at all. Just the Independent has been told. Hell, we could do that, just replace that with Redcafe has been told and you're done.
Apply the same logic to us agreeing a fee.Chelsea obviously know about the money owed to FdJ when coming into this transfer, they’ll just pay the cash and get this done by Monday.
They wouldn’t open talks with Barce if they wasn’t going to get this sorted out.
https://www.thetimes.co.uk/article/...-bid-50m-for-manchester-city-target-fcvmjw2b9We've finished ahead of Chelsea in the League Table 3 times out of the past 5 seasons.
Source article?
What am I supposed to do with my knock-off De Jong United kit now?
The rule is believe the opposite to what Miguel Delaney says. So it's encouraging news.Miguel Delaney from the independent reporting that Chelsea are confident and are now likeliest club to sign De Jong.
Also said that United are weighing up whether to pull the plug and look for other targets.
NOT GOOD.
The same player we have amassed over 1k pages getting giddy over? I don't think we're in a position to start trying to mock any club that signs de Jong.
How do you figure? It's all bloody opinion. Theres absolutely no proof he wants London or UCL, it's basically using Chelseas location and the fact that it's believed all top players want CL.
I doubt it, they probably paid for Laportes meal.At least Arnold and Murtough got a couple of decent visits to Barcelona out of it.
Arnold's going to get a couple decent visits himself againAt least Arnold and Murtough got a couple of decent visits to Barcelona out of it.
You’ve just answered your own questionHow do you figure? It's all bloody opinion. Theres absolutely no proof he wants London or UCL, it's basically using Chelseas location and the fact that it's believed all top players want CL.
Warchest gone then.I doubt it, they probably paid for Laportes meal.

There isn't any proof at all that he doesn't want to come here, theres no proof he does. Everything is media speculation, nothing more, nothing less.By that logic, there is no proof he wants to come here. No proof we are interested. No proof we ever bid for him.

If it was that easy we'd have worked something out.We haven’t been able to get this sorted for whatever reason and it’s taken 3 months. The 17m fee owed to FDJ won’t be an issue for Chelsea they‘re spending upwards of 200m this summer this wont stop them.
They know about this fee and are coming in at this late stage they aren’t here to wait 3 months for it to get sorted.
Murtough probably trying to be clever. If it was that easy we'd have worked something out.
Ah this may be the new replacement for "if we are still going for him now, we must have had encouragement from the player"If it was that easy we'd have worked something out.

Expecting ‘United looking at alternatives to FDJ’ stories any minute now.
It really wouldn't surprise me if we went back and suddenly found a way to cover the wages and give a full fixed fee too.If it was that easy we'd have worked something out.
It was a yes I’ll come to Manchester until Chelsea came in… probably.I'd be astonished if he goes to Chelsea. Have we really been doing all this without assurances from him that he'd join?
