Frenkie De Jong - Part 3?

He will probably leave Barca for free in 21 months.

Koeman on Frenkie de Jong not ready yet: “This is worrying. It's been a very long time”.

“He is improving, but he is still not fit. There is damage to his ankle and he wants to take his time to recover”.

What does he expect? It was a bad injury

You can get this one to two hundred pages!!! Frenkie is finally coming to Manchester!!

Not buying this
Ah yes, the mighty transfersdotcom, beacons of knowledge.

Twitter really is a cesspool of shite. Majority of garbage is made up nonsense by some narcissistic nobody, using engagement to validate the fact they actually amount to nothing in the ‘real world’.

It’s more worrying that he’s allegedly refusing surgery to sort that injury out. If that’s true he’s going to subject himself to constant periods of being out with niggles

Nope. Ten Hag will be gone by the time he is available. Probably end up at City or something. Looks like Pep's kind of player.

Sounds like the perfect fit then.

Edit: Just saw the post above

What is it with Dutch lads and surgery?!
Having Dutch fam of my own- there might be an element to it of there being a lot of focus on limiting medical intervention if somehow it can be avoided. Unlike here in the US whenever folks are sick it seems docs there are more likely to just tell em to suck it up and take a basic painkiller than the pill pushing of antibiotics, steroids and everything else that happens here. Might just be a more European thing rather than just Dutch though. Partly anecdotal so I'm merely speculating on the why.

I wouldn’t touch him with a barge pole until he can absolutely prove his fitness on the pitch again, not a quick medical as some were suggesting in this thread. That is a nasty injury

Dutch media are mentioning it again. Hag has asked the board for Frenkie.

Board in an orderly fashion please.

Can't help but feel EtH asking Ratcliffe about FdJ is a ruse by the Glazers to get Sheikh Jassim to come in with a renewed mega-bid.

That would be amazing timing. Ten Hag’s midfield messiah signed after sacking him.
Also on Ten Hag(and our recruitment team) that once he didnt get De Jong, his next options in midfield were Casemiro, Mount and Ugarte, 3 players who are absolutely nothing like De Jong.

They were club signings not his signings. He only wanted de Jong and never got him. There isn’t another FDJ.

Having deJong trying to keep possession alongside Bruno who insists on giving it away would be interesting

He'll be there until 2026 at 29 years old. We'll see if he signs a new deal with Barca or looks to move on a free, I doubt we're in the running and ETH will be long gone.
