French Open 2012

They were tough only tough because Novak made it tough. The Seppi match especially Novak was absolute shit. If he played like that against a better player he would've lost.

Rafa would've won those matches with ease.

Please. Tsonga and Seppi were much tougher opponents than Amlagro and Monaco, are you kidding me? And now Nole plays Federer while Nadal again plays a weaker Murray or Ferrer. Last three games for Nole (before the final, which he will hopefully get to) would have been three times tougher as Nadal's last three games. Just saying.

Sippi is rubbish. Just because Novak goes and drops 2 sets to the World Number 22 doesn't make him a difficult opponent.
Seppi #22
Tsonga #5

Nadal played clay court specialists Monaco and Almagro
Monaco #12
Almagro #13

And why is Novak's semi final so much more difficult than Nadal's? Novak is playing RFed who has been no where close to his best this tournament whereas Rafa is likely to play Ferrer who's dropped 1 set all tournament.

Ferrer takes the 3rd set 6-3. Murray really really needs to start to consolidate some of the breaks he gets. He gets broken every time he breaks Ferrer.

I agree, what I'm really worried about is djoker's mental strength. He won both the US open and aussie open after being down match points in the semi's. Once again he came back after saving 4 match points. I don't think nadal would be as confident as people here think, infact I think it would be much more closer and djoker may well even have the mental edge(if they play in the final). Although nadal would be the favorite.

Yep really can't be too confident if Novak is in the final. Nadal's recent wins over him could give him the edge but Djokovic is an absolute beast and is amazingly strong mentally.

5th time now that Ferrer breaks immediately after getting broken. So predictable

Just realized the guy doing the live text for BBC is called:

Ben Dirs

His parents must've really hated him

Absolutely incredible stat. He doesn't have a top 10 win on clay in his career

Can't stand Murray as a player, ultimately brainless.

Poor Murray, must have been his back again, surprising that he even made it on court standing straight and without a wheelchair

Not a fan of Murray.

Only one thing can happen now..for him to be hyped to feck by the press about the chances of him winning Wimbledon

Read a cheat comment a few times now - did he cheat in this game?

He's not really a cheat. He just used his back injury excuse in previous matches.

He didn't cheat at all. Most players bend the rules.

He won't win Wimbledon but I'd make him second fav in America and Australia.

Second fav? Nadal and Djokovic and even Fed have been the best players on Hard Courts over the last 3-4 Hard court slams..

I'd argue about Nadal. He's never been at his best at Flushing and it's a tribute to him that he's managed to win one. Federer is regressing slowly and I think Andy is better now on hard courts.

Around 18 months back I'd have wholeheartedly agreed with you but Nadal was very good when he won in New York and was very good last year as well until he came up against You Know Who. He was also really good in Melbourne and came so close to winning there so I think he and Djokovic are both slightly better than Murray right now but on a given day I wouldn't be shocked if Murray beat either of them in a HC slam.

I don't think Djokovic is at the same level this year. He'd have blown Tsonga away this time last year and essentially the Frenchman bottled it in their QF. Nadal is back to his best but assuming he makes the final at Wimbledon I think the effort it's taken to get back to that level may tell at Flushing. I think it's good for Murray that he went out today as a proper spanking in the semis wouldn't have done him any good.

Wimbledon likeliest winners:
Nadal and Djoko equal
Murray
Federer

US Open:
Djoko
Murray and Nadal equal
Del Potro and Federer equal

Murray 2nd favorite at the US?? please
I'll even put federer ahead of him

Tennis is not played on paper fortunately.

If Murray was a horse you'd say he doesn't act on the going, has no classic form and is underpriced.

Errani beats Stosur and is in the final vs Sharapova/Kvitova

What a great day of sport. French Open semis and Euros start.

Federer Djokovic should be a fun match given Djokovic is well off color. Nadal will win his easily. He's having quite a lucky run up to final.

Djoko always has difficulty in matches against Federer.

Well whatever the draw he was always going to have a lucky run up to final given we are saying he has an easy match against 6th seed ferrer.
