French Open 2012

I'm glad I missed the final set. It was all so inevitable really. Hopefully Fed can take out Novak in the semis or yet another disappointing Grand Slam final potentially awaits.

Disappointing from what view point? I think Nadal wins easily against either.

Disappointing? Their last two GS finals have been outstanding! Federer will just get twatted against Nadal. Djokovic I feel is the only guy who was a slim chance to beat him here or at least put up a fight.

Or are you talking from the perspective of a Nadal fan?

He has a hard on for Nadal.

Tbh even I'm a Nadal fan. But I think Rafa can beat Djokovic on clay. Rafa has looked in ominous touch this week and I think has turned the tide in his battle with Novak after the beating in Australia.

Yes I am.

The USO and Aussie Open finals were fantastic to watch but the Aussie Open was depressing. That backhand down the line at 30-15 4-2 in the final set :(

Going on form and with his recent wins over Novak, Nadal should be favourite but the past 3 Slam finals between these two have made me extremely pessimistic. It would be much easier if Fed could just take Djokovic out.

I'd prefer Djokovic not making the final tbh.

Hasn't this in love with Nadal gimmick worn thin yet? I mean

We are all discounting the possibility of Murray possibly beating Ferrer, Nadal and then Federer/Djokovic.

Erm... :lol::lol:

He beat Nadal in all 3.

Nadal slightly better than last year
Novak slightly worse
Murray has made the most improvement of the big four as shown by only just losing in Melbourne to Djokovic
Federer continues to regress. Del Potro was clearly the better player today but is not 100% healthy

So Wimbledon is a lot more open.

Roger has been playing the best tennis of all of them this year until the French where he has been struggling with the slower conditions. Del Potro was the better player for a set and a half and Roger really should have won the 2nd set. He then destroyed Del Potro who had the class to say his knee was fine which is great to see from a top athlete who does not blame injuries all the time unlike Nadal. I think if it is warm and sunny on Friday and the conditions are a bit quicker Roger can beat Djokovic like last year.

Today again both men's quarterfinals will start at the same time. Ridiculous

Nadal fans should want Djokovic to make the final. It's a great chance for Nadal to get a GS final win against him. Nadal is right now looking his imperious best on clay and Djokovic's form isn't what it was during those 3 GS wins in a row. In addition, he seems to anyway struggle on this surface and tournament. It's as a good a chance as any for Rafa to turn the tables around.

It won't be as easy as people think unless its roger in the final

Who is this midget that Rafa is playing now ? He looks like some random bloke who won a contest to play a match in the French Open.

Winner of Sharapova vs Kvitova sf will eventually win the french open.

I thought he rather looks like one of those Muslim terrorist on 24.

Murray broken in the 4th game. Can see him struggling today. Ferrer is very good on clay.

fecking shit. Bet on Murray and he's fecking my winnings over. Sharapova and Nadal are doing their jobs in my accumulator.

Always been surprised that Ferrer hasn't made atleast one GS final let alone win one. He's a very solid player. But I guess shows how good Nadal, Fed and recently Djok have been. Rarely get upset in the early rounds.

Ferrer takes first set 6-4. Murray breaks at the start of the second.

Nadal definitely had the easier opponents so far. Hope Nole can trash him.

Who has Djokovic played so far? Apart from Tsonga, every single opponent of his was rubbish. Just because he got taken to 5 sets by Seppi doesn't mean that he's a harder opponent than people Nadal has played. Almagro and Monaco are very good players on clay but Nadal has been too good for them. Fed and Djojo had laughable draws until the QF's.

The only one who has a bad draw is Murray. His route to the title would be Gasquet, Ferrer, Nadal and Fed/Djoko

Ferrer is brilliant until he has to play one of the Top 3-4

Please. Tsonga and Seppi were much tougher opponents than Amlagro and Monaco, are you kidding me? And now Nole plays Federer while Nadal again plays a weaker Murray or Ferrer. Last three games for Nole (before the final, which he will hopefully get to) would have been three times tougher as Nadal's last three games. Just saying.
