Thought he had an alright game today, a few times my heart was in my mouth though. Would be better if he wasn’t built like the side of a fiver but puts himself about well.
It’s hard to focus on positives off the ball when you’re so disastrous on it. It kind of negates any other positives. It just seems the CAF only watch what people do on the ball and not what happens off the ball or how good he was today with his positioning and movement.
This is a place of extremes... he did an adequate job, and of all the tried options we had available was the best choice and doubt anyone in the squad could have done better. Would I like to eventually upgrade him, yes, was he awful today no. Decent job and contributed immensely to the win.Shaking my head wondering what game people were watching. He was really good today. It just seems the CAF only watch what people do on the ball and not what happens off the ball or how good he was today with his positioning and movement. Had moments of good interchanges with people and working the ball around. I’m sure there are better ball players more willing to try and go through the middle for sure but can they provide the cover he did.
People say it’s easy to find someone who can run about but it really isn’t. Not at that intensity. he for sure looked better given a bit more freedom and less to cover playing in the 3.
What would Pogba do really though he wouldn’t get about as much or back track and just play Hail Mary passes over the top.Holding the place til pogbas available again.

pretty much backed up what I Just mentioned, people don’t watch what happens off the ball.He was a boy among men getting shrugged off the ball far too lightweight and gave it away poorly with some simple passes. He was tackled 4 times and had a loose touch that was then taken from him 4 times, easily the most on the pitch losing the ball like that. McTominay did a better job winning the ball too. He had a good shot, if you think thats even a decent performance get a hold of yourself
I usually agree and have defended Fred many times in this thread. He is usually blamed for everything when a lot of the issues are more team based. I do think he lost too many 50/50's today. He was shrugged off the ball too easily. That does happen a bit too often, and it's because he's a small guy.Shaking my head wondering what game people were watching. He was really good today. I do prefer Fred with more freedom. He even said he prefers to play further up the pitch. Ole had McT sitting and Fred playing a bit further forward. It allows Fred to play his natural game and get about a bit more. He gave the ball away as much as the rest of the team did, so I don't see that as a negative against him today. I'd say he was around a 6 today. I don't think anybody played badly. Average up to very good.
I think Cavani, Ronaldo and Bruno coming off were all good choices. But did we really need Lingard?Didn't we use all our subs? Cavani had to come off because of cramp.
That’s about right. McFred are usually the least worst option. If we’re going to play 352 (or 3412) more then possibly Pogba can come in. We just don’t have good options in CM.This is a place of extremes... he did an adequate job, and of all the tried options we had available was the best choice and doubt anyone in the squad could have done better. I can understand we want Jese as an impact sub when we're chasing a goal, but if we're cruising and van de Beek still isn't picked, even just to rest Fred, then I can't imagine a scenario when Donny is used.
McT was better of the two which was in contrast to the previous games this season but if yiu treat them as a combo then they did the job.
McFred actually got run through. It was our back line of 5 that closed the lanes.
But there’s no doubt McTominay was the better of the two. Boggles the mind Fred keeps getting starts, no matter how he performs.

Fred does lot of things well but then comes up with couple of stupid moments which undermines performance rating.
Also his off the ball work rate and movement is unmatched in ManUtd squad. Always available for pass and involved in most of the good stuff. Then a moment of silly pass, loose touch or taking too many touches to control possession which lets opponents to regroup and press.
Yeah, I think that is true. I remember the Everton match. He was playing very well in the first half. He played quite a few really nice line breaking passes. He was also moving the ball quickly. Then he makes an error in the 2nd half and we end up conceding from it. I think his overall performance was good, but an error that leads to conceding a goal is going to negatively effect the perception of a player's performance.Fred does lot of things well but then comes up with couple of stupid moments which undermines performance rating.

I'm sure all fans do it, but I know for certain that our fans look for mistakes from players that they don't like. Fred is top of the list for sure. There are many games where people say his passing was shit, and his pass percentage is very similar to the rest of the team. If his was passing was so bad, so was everybody else's. Bruno playing like a second striker has been an issue for us. Not just that, but our other forwards not doing enough defensively as well. McFred has too much ground to cover.Off the ball is something easy to miss and I think as you say is unmatched in the club. It was a particularly poor performance but equally it's so easy to be drawn into looking for the mistakes with Fred and it's almost like no one else on the pitch plays silly passes etc. Its funny cause people say Scott disappears in games and Bruno leaves whoever in midfield with little support playing too far upfront. It's a tough gig whoever is left having to fill in the blanks.
Solid squad man but Fred should never be a regular starter for a club which aspires to lift major trophies.
Lets not get carried away now, that award is solely on Maguire at the moment. He is a liability, probably our worst player in the squad.
Not good enough although we know this already
At least he gets involved, McTominay should be absolutely ashamed of himself, only midfielder I've ever seen on a 0 hour contract. Hiding at Old Trafford, absolutely pathetic. He is a liability, probably our worst player in the squad.
Maguire is pretty close at the moment, but if i count every game they’ve played for us then there’s no one close to Fred. He can’t even do the simplest of things right and for a supposed all-action midfielder I’ve seen him always get outmuscled by players of varying sizes.Lets not get carried away now, that award is solely on Maguire at the moment.
