I've seen a few things on the FM24 mobile game about people having winding up orders, etc, but do they ever go through with it?

 Hope they get relegated. To compensate for them still being competent in my save, I made Mainoo, Garnacho and Lacey into world class players. Lacey won the Balon dor for the last 2 years running. :wenger:

Finished 2nd with Livingston and won the Scottish Cup. Did shite in other cups. Have SK Rapid in the first CL qualifying round. They've made offers for two players I want to get rid of immediately after we have drawn them...bit weird?

I signed him on my St Albans save as a back up winger. He was excellent.

He normally rolls up with very good PA(177 in this current save, i bumped it up to 195 :p) but the game fecks with his hidden attributes which meant he never reaches it. Same with Mainoo as well who was absolutely screwed by getting PA similar to McT(around 145-150). Nah, feck that.

Yeah the Bundesliga sucks. Competing against Bayern is impossible (I'm 3rd in Jan) and all my players are being poached in January.

My only fit left-back was taken by Wolves, Ozan Kabak (who is inexplicably my top scorer) just had his £34m clause met and another club is trying to take my other CB so I'm trying to renegotiate that contract.

My best hope is winning the DFB Pokal I think. Bayern and Dortmund just got drawn against each other in the quarters so if I can just get to the final and beat the winner of that game I'll be happy. Then hopefully a move back to England I think.

Why whenever I changed from Positive to Attacking with about 15 minutes to go does literally nothing happen for the rest of the game. Every. Damn. Time

I think it also depends on player instructions too, for example if you have players on support rather than attacking etc.

So, I've tried to destroy City financially using the ingame editor and looks like it's just not possible. Changed their finances to -1bn, removed all their sponsors, removed all their affliates, bank debts of 1bn where the monthly payments are close to 25m/month but they still qualify for CL easily. Game just gives them 300m-400m from some 'reserve investment fund' every time I try to put their finances in the negative.

Ofcourse, United on the other hand, gets relegated due to poor morale though. Fecking assholes.

Edit : Forgot to mention, I've also removed their sugar daddy owners and put that option as none.

The game will purposely pump money into clubs that have huge debts like that. It can actually be pretty difficult to financially ruin teams

Yea seems like that. But, United on the other hand can easily get relegated due to poor morale. Not Chelsea or any other club doing worse than us in real life. I've only did this shit just because I was enraged seeing United getting relegated.

Finished second in the Bundesliga but it was 18 points behind Bayern  They also beat me in the Pokal final on penalties ffs. Get me out of Germany.

I actually signed a RB called Raoul Bellanova for £10m and he's been amazing and now valued at £40m. I also got Olise as my main signing and he's been superb so sad to leave those two if I go.

Don't Bayern have a club vision of signing German/Germany based players? If they still have it, you can easily overtake them within couple of seasons by signing all the cheap wonderkids showing up.

Yeah I probably could but I envisioned this as an English league save. I only went to Hoffenheim as it was my only option, plus such a big jump from Cambridge it helped my rep.

It ups your tempo, passing directness etc instructions so could be that you start playing too quick/direct and your attacks become ineffectual.

I tried setting a match plan once so that certain things happen based on certain scenarios (like waste time if leading by 1 goal on 85 minutes). As soon as I kicked off my assistant manager randomly changed my formation and everyone's roles. It's completely broken.

Got the Brighton job. They've just finished 15th in the league and were not far off relegation so no idea what's happened there.

They've still got Evan Ferguson and a couple of other good players (They have Tonali for some reason but he's already being sold to Milan for £60m which is bizarre).

Going to go long haul with Brighton now hopefully and look to create a great team.

EDIT: Neymar is there

massive points deduction is the way to go. I’ve tried to put teams into administration, they lose points but get millions magically into their account.

Yeah, the game doesn’t allow it. It’s like all the clubs currently in huge debt will get a takeover and money pumped into them within two seasons of the save starting.
Check clubs like Valencia, Sheffield Wednesday, Birmingham etc. they always, always quickly get new owners and clear the debt.
Another of many reasons to detest this current game.

I love when you do saves in sub-par leagues like in Scotland and you end up having people like Mason Bennett playing and doing alright in the EL.

I'm really tempted to play FM again after probably 15 years... But I'm turned off by majority of the people in this thread saying how shite it is.

It's more the fact that they have an excellent foundation of a game with some really good aspects to it. The problem is there are a few minor tweaks they can make to it to ensure it's a great game but they don't do it (Despite them being yearly problems) and they end up being major distractions that feck you off hugely.

Speaking of things they need to fix.
Players you have just signed getting annoyed that you've left them out of your European qualification squads when you cannot even add them in at that moment has been an issue for so long.

Is there any better feeling than arriving at a new club and clearing out the deadwood? I actually think the intermediary system is a great addition in that regard. Yes it's still generally difficult to shift players on huge salaries but I've found it really useful in most other scenarios.

I've currently got the fans and board mad at me for a signing that was agreed before I was hired.

The interactions are shite. I am not ashamed to say that I save scum every single time I get a player who asks to discuss something. The responses are so random and unreasonable and it completely fecks up your squard harmony.

Yeah I'm getting some delicious fees right now. The rebuild is on.

 you take it a bit too serious my friend

I'm struggling near the bottom of league 1 with Leyton Orient but I have managed to reach the FA cup semi final  knocked out Everton, Brighton and Chelsea along the way. Face United for a spot in the final...

Christ, I was about 20 points clear at the top of the National League and now I've drawn or lost my last 10 games to relinquish top spot and end up in the play offs. Absolutely gutted.

I finally got my wish not to start my non-league to legend with a Vanarama south/north team. Landed a job at Vienese in Portugal. No badges/no experience.

Very little money but managed to find some quality freebies and got promotion in 2nd place in the championship group.

I can’t say I loved the club and they have no kits! Couldn’t find a pack online and I didn’t sign a contract when it came up for renewal.

With no fear of losing my job, I just applied for the likes of Watford, Wigan, Plymouth and relegated Portuguese Premier side Viz.

All the others laughed in my 1.5 star, National B license face, but to my shock, 2.5 star reputation Viz offered me an interview!

Promised to achieve club targets to try and get the job and media are suggesting “trouble filling the position” means I got offered the job!

Because of the promises, it means I have to get promoted or I will lose the job, but what an opportunity. One promotion away from a top division job after only two years into the game.

That has never happened to me before and it’s a refreshing change. It could all end in tears, but what a result if it doesn’t!

Solid first window at Brighton.

Sold:

Tonali - £62m rising to £73m (was there but a sale was already agreed)
Lamptey - £33m (sale already agreed)
Neymar - £24m
Tete - £21m
Ahmedhodzic - £12m
Couple other deadwoods for about £15m total

Bought:

Gabri Veiga - Free
Alex Remiro - Free
Jarrad Branthwaite - £12.25m
Malo Gusto - £14m
Mason Crawford - £14m (18 year old American ambipedal LB with great stats and a resolute personality) - Loaned back to Inter Miami with a view to him replacing Estupinan next season.
Couple of investments in 3 young players for a combined £6m

I have a lot of budget left but I'm spending an initial £59.5m on Warren Zaire-Emery. Also loaning a newgen CB from Liverpool with an optional fee at the end so I can move that transfer cost to next season.

Brighton messed up an unbeaten European season at the Tony Macaroni Arena. Gutted. Knocked us out in the EL QF which was a good little run.

Livi have a player called Joel Nouble who is absolutely shite but he is tall, strong and can jump so he seems to score 10 headers a season at vital moments and of course fancy pant European sides don't know what to do with him.

Bruno decided after 18 months he wanted out to Saudi. Managed to negotiate them to 103m and then signed Foden (who was transfer listed since Pep left City and was replaced by Jose) for 60m.

Wan Bissaka also refuses to sign a new contract, expires in 6 months. Had a few offers from Fulham and Tottenham but the bellend rejects their contracts so looks like he's leaving on a free. Want to sign Frimpong to replace him but don't think I'll have the money come the summer, as also need to sign a Erikson replacement.
I just refused offer. Same as for Shaw. When season started they became happy again. Bruno is too good to be sold.

Btw; if you win CL in first season, you play World's club championship. That is fun.

26/27 season with United. Top of the table by two points ahead of City with eight games to play.

My last four games:

Liverpool (CL) - 0-0 draw
City (PL) - 2-3 loss
Liverpool (CL) 3-1 win
Chelsea (FA Cup) 2-0 win

My next six games:

Spurs (PL)
Liverpool (PL)
Leipzig (CL)
Arsenal (PL)
Leipzig (CL)
Spurs (FA Cup)

Then a relatively easy league run in against Everton, Palace, West Ham, Forest and Wolves. Although I'm hoping a CL semi final against either City/Arsenal will be in there too, as well as an FA Cup final.

Squeaky bum time to say the least.
