Then a relatively easy league run in against Everton, Palace, West Ham, Forest and Wolves. Although I'm hoping a CL semi final against either City/Arsenal will be in there too, as well as an FA Cup final.

To share (brag:D about) my United career with fellow United manager.
First season i won LC, FA, CL. Lost PL in last two games. Rotated team for CL semis and lost at home vs Newcastle where i needed only one point.
Second season i won Pl, LC, CL, euro super cup and world championship.

Now started playing third season. United is fun to play but i doubt that attacking 433 will work with weaker club.
I will try it with Brentford to see how it is working.

Impressive, what's your team?

I got rid of a lot of players in the first season (Saudi bid £175m for Bruno which I couldn't turn down) and rebuilt with youth which is starting to pay off. Bought Ferguson for £100m, had him for 18 months, he'd just signed a new contract and Barca came in for him at £140m and he wouldn't stay.

I sold to Saudis Varane first season and Case for 100 mil second season. Both put transfer request (i didn't want to sell them because i never sell best players no matter what).
3rd season. 433 with dmc and two mc (mezzala roles).

You made a mistake by selling Sancho and Antony. They are great (in FM :) ). And Eriksen was excellent for me in first two seasons. Both seasons he had over 10g and 10a as mc(mezzala). And Shaw also. Why sell him? He is one of the best lb in the game.


You got 200 mil euros for Bruno?! Bloody hell....

Sancho was, very realistically, an absolutely mardy git for me, constantly upsetting the dressing room, I was glad to be rid of him.

I kept Antony for a few seasons, he was OK the first but fell off a cliff after that and got a decent bid from Atletico so let him go.

I sold Shaw a season early but I had Barco plus a very promising left back coming through the youth system so when I got a bid of 50 odd million from Newcastle I took it. But I forgot I had just sent the young lad out on loan, hence bringing in Cancelo on loan.

Sancho, as with @mitChley, was being a prick constantly so I sent him back to Dortmund too. Antony was great for two seasons but then he got sent off in three big games in about 2 months so I dropped him to the Reserves and that was the beginning of the end. He went to Saudi for a decent sum actually.

Eriksen was great for two years and like you, racked up loads of G/A but I wanted to build a young team so I let him run down his contract.

Have just won the league with three games to spare after City drew five games on the trot. I have them in the CL semi finals now and I also have them in the FA Cup final. I've already beaten them over two legs on my way to winning the Carabao Cup, meaning I'll have played them seven times by the time the season's over.

Btw; this is first FM where you simply can't sign best of the best. I tried to sign Vinicius, Saka, Rodrygo, some Barca players, Valverde, Camavinga, Davies......i offered 200 mil in cash for them. Nothing.
Luckily Osimhen had release clause.:wenger:
 
When I do a save with United, I restrict myself to only using youth players or signing players aged 16 and under, otherwise it becomes far too easy and boring.

I'm trying to find the balance between finding and signing 16-18 year old wonderkids and my actual will to stick it out until they come good.

Depends on your goals and what you define as success. When you play with giants then success is to win everything every season. Winning only PL in a season is a fail for me.
I am like Perez; season success is measured by CL trophy. :wenger:
 
Having a lot of fun in my Livingston save. Just finished the 4th season and won the domestic treble. Got to the Last 16 of the CL. Signing Celtic/Rangers rejects for peanuts and then selling them a year or so later for big profit when their release clauses get matched and then rinse/repeat. I did manage to sign a young striker from AIK called Kusi-Asare though. He's bloody brilliant. Like a mini Haaland.

At about 80m. Don't really want to leave the Tony Macaroni Arena! I did ask already and they refused so might have to wait another year or so.
 
Poor Hibs. I've beaten them 3 years in a row in the Viaplay Cup Final.
 
Is there a way to look at the attributes in your squad as a chart? Like look at all your strikers together and get an average or an idea of your finishing, movement, etc..

Yes. Go to Data Hub -> Player > Ask for -> Click drop down arrow and then choose relevant position and what you want data for.

Hope the game introduces Percentiles and Pizza Charts in future games. I find them way easier to use.
 
Had to sell Kusi-Asare after only a season and a half. :( One of the best strikers I've had on this FM though as a pressing forward. 74 goals in 67 games for me. Bought for 700k and sold for 57m rising to 87m to Liverpool (He wanted to leave and a 50m ish bid was a promise made). Promptly signed the next best striker in the league from Celtic - Jason van Duiven for 27m.

I had the same problem with him when I started with Everton. Either as an AF or PF. I think he always played better when I played him with another striker. Just didn't work when I played 4-3-3 or 4-2-3-1.
 
3 promotions in a row with Darlington. 2nd in NLN, 2nd in NL and 3rd in League 2. Am I the greatest manager in history or is the game a piece of p*ss?

Initial budget has been set for League 1; 43k wages and 172k for transfers. Very generous :wenger:
 
Had an amazing start with Brighton but it's slowly evened out, culminating in a terrible December for me. Having Arsenal, Liverpool and Utd in 7 days really took a toll on my squad.

I signed this guy for £14m in the summer and loaned him back to Inter Miami but I've recalled him in Jan as he looks too good to be playing there. Hopefully he can help for the second half of the season.

I hate how big clubs sign your players on this game and then don't play them and ruin all of their potential. I hate how big clubs sign wonderkids and then don't play them, ruin all of their potential and have them on massively inflated wages that make it hard for you to sign them. :(
 
We've got an FA Cup semi final against Liverpool coming up soon and the game has decided my team is bad now. Losses to 18th and 19th placed Burnley and Southampton. Every game highlight when the opposition score is just one of my midfielders standing with the ball before passing it directly to the other team with no team-mate even in that vicinity. Every highlight for me is some dogshit looped cross (I've got it set to low crosses) that floats to someone to softly head it into the keeper's hands.

Just lost the FA Cup semi as well. Would've been Reading in the final who inexplicably beat Arsenal.

Didn't help that some of the players started miserably because of that broken mechanic above, and then in the 90th minute Evan Ferguson is through on goal to equalise but decides to just slow down and not even shoot. Then someone just takes the ball off him.

Is he coming back from injury and his injury status is in orange? I noticed it shows up when that's the case. It's still bullshit though. This shouldn't come up until they are fully fit.

Yeah technically orange injury but still absolutely ridiculous as his condition was low orange and it said he was doing rehab.

Yea, I think that game treats orange injuries as being available to pick which is still ridiculous as they would be in no condition to play. They need to change it so that it treats them as available when they pass the fitness test.
 
Finished 3rd with 76 points.

Jan Paul van Hecke broke his leg on the last day of training for the season. 6 months out.

£22m transfer budget :/ Got a job on.
 
Does Kitbasher work for anyone? Constantly crashes every time I try to generate a kit. Not sure if its my graphics card or something but surely that's not too stressful on it.
 
A second domestic treble in 6 years. Still can't quite crack the CL though. QF is the best I've managed so far but I suppose that is quite good for a club our size! We just need a lucky run. I seem to always come up against a really tough opponent in the last 16 and we don't have enough firepower or defensively to grind out a win.

The League is not much of a challenge anymore. Celtic and Rangers (Either one) will always get 80ish+ points but I manage to win it with about 3 or 4 games to go now by getting over 90. Nobody cares about the Viaplay Cup but my 2nd team is more often than not good enough to get me to the final and then my first team comes in to swoop it up. Have managed to get the board to invest in training facilities to State of the Art and we are now expanding the stadium to c. 13 or 14k from 9k. Would like to build one eventually but think that's 2 or 3 years away. I'm not sure why but I've reached Good with my youth facilities and it won't let me ask anymore to upgrade them. Not sure if that's a bug or something in the game I need to do to get that option unlocked?

I do find it fun doing these saves though. It's a league where you can get in wonderkids quite easily but most want release clauses and you're essentially going through a cycle of buy player for c. 5m -> sell for c. 20m. Repeat.

EDIT: It does seem annoying though that there are hundreds of high potential strikers but never any of the other players you need.

I have similiar cases too. I say to player that i will rest him, he says cool and next game he is unhappy about it. Also when i rest/bench important player for two games in a row, he is already upset about it.
