That one draw, 0-0 away at Stoke, of course.

Anyway, save done, need to do something else now.

You're team is shit. You couldnt get it done away to Stoke. :D
I'm surprised they didn't sack me.
Noti

Noticed you were playing a 4-2-3-1, something I've had little success with, what instructions do you use?

Here's the whole thing,

Keeper also has Roll It Out and Distribute to Centre Backs PI's, and the Centre Backs have Pass It Shorter.

I've just started a save with Newcastle. It seems to be quite challenging - a low starting transfer budget (<£1m), several injuries, big gaps in defence that need sorting immediately and a few high earners that need moving on (but that no-one seems to want to buy). I'm challenging myself to only buy players that my scouts recommend too, rather than signing the usual suspects everyone who plays knows about.

Going pretty well for me in my second season with Dortmund (won the title somewhat narrowly in my first):

The highlight definitely being this 4-0 thumping of Bayern at the Allianz.

This is how my first 11 is shaping up, got some promising players. Aubameyang has been a monster, netting 38 goals last season.

Love my Portugese trio of Sanches (bargain due to him being unhappy at FSW's Bayern), Neves and Silva.

Cant fecking stand Vardy on this game, just scored two clearly offside goals to beat me then
He always scores at least 2 against me. The press keep asking things like "Jamie Vardy has scored 11 in 8 against your team. How do you plan to stop him?" ridiculous.

After his half season wonder for Newcastle, 12 or 13?

Still shite, the best strikers aren't the ones with 20 finishing, give me Cavanaghi on FM05 any day of the week, or Dzeko from the two games prior to joining City, proper top class at decent enough prices. Cisse or Huntelaar wouldn't lead you that far in my experience.

Aye, Huntelaar pretty much did nothing for me whenever I've had him on FM. Cisse though did bag me something like 18 goals in 13 games in a test save  I remember SI were quick to alter his stats in the next patch.

FFS, that's ridiculous how op they made him. With proper support he'd surely nail a 2 per game average?

Started an unemployed save, with middling to weak qualifications, to see if anything interesting would drum up. Most clubs I fancied rejected me out of hand, Derby gave me an interview, but picked Tim Sherwood over me.

Ended up taking a long shot at Nice who were in a relegation battle, and they offered me a job. Took until the end of the season, but with some excellent results, shot up the table and finished in an Europa league spot(which is where they finished IRL, so not some kind of ridiculous overachieving). Gave me 350k to spend on rebuilding, but I sold all the chaff for a mil here and there and Ben Arfa(who they'd given a long term contract to before I signed) for 14m to Arsenal.

Rebuilt the squad on the cheap, lots of free transfers, lots of underrated talent from around the globe.

This lad, who spent the first season on loan at Inter from Cremonese, has come in and is demolishing teams, so much that the striker I spent the bones of 3m on, Zach Clough, can't even get a game.

Also this lad popped up on the youth intake, earmarked as a "best in generation", and he's going to be spectacular. Already had to fight off Real Madrid to keep him.

If we keep pushing forward, he could eventually replace Nampalys Mendy in running our midfield for a generation.

That Manaj is fantastic on my save, albeit I never tried to sign him. He tore on the SPL with Celtic before moving to Real Madrid. Isn't a regular for them but has managed 10 goals in like 7 starts, with about 12 sub appearances. Just realised Madrid signed him and didn't play him for a year as well

Phil jones as a right wing back has rocked up 17 assists on my save, all the more impressive seeing as he was injured for the first 3 months and i only played him there a month later out of desperation.

Really struggling to stick to a save at the minute. What is everybody doing at the moment which is keeping them entertained?

Win the CL with decent teams in 5 countries (teams that haven't won the league in ages). Obviously win the league and domestic cup as well. Started with Valencia, then took over Schalke (amazing youth), then Napoli (shit team, only kept 1 player) and now Monaco (good team with lots of money, just want to get french league done quickly). Last stop will be the PL where i'll take over some shit team similar to Napoli. Just won the EUROs with Spain.

So I'm currently playing as United on an updated version (From 1st July) to try and hone/develop my latest tactic. Based it on the one that @Earthquake posted, the 4-2-3-1 Wide with the IF's.

Had some serious trouble both scoring and keeping people out at first but tweak by tweak I'm seeing results, about time really cause I'd get sacked if not

Brought in Mkhitaryan as he wasn't in the squad but Ibra/Bailly were. Also got Giminez (Atgletico CB) Balanta, Willian and tried for Pogba but simply didn't want to pay €150 Million Euro that they asked of me. Tried for Saul too but he rejected me in favour of a new deal so I'm managing on Carrick/Schweinsteiger-Schneiderlin ATM.

Managed to do relatively good business shipping players out:
Mata - €32.5 Mil
Fellaini - €11.25 Mil (A little low but I wanted rid ASAP)
Blind - €35 Mil
Rooney - €22.5 Mil
Rojo - €13 Mil
Young - €21.5 Mil (Very pleased with this one :) )

(Yes I'm playing in Euros, I had a save in spain where I changed my currency but CBA to change back

I'll be looking for a CM upgrade almost certainly when January comes around.

Just had a transfer shake up myself. Sold Mata for 63m, Jones for 30m and Valencia for 5m. Replacing them with Gribbin, Mensah and Warren. Strongly considering getting rid of Depay and playing Pereira instead as well. Depay doesn't do much except score a few tap ins for me.

Good business, Balanta isn't what he once was in FM, but still useful.

Yeah I wanted a cheap solid CB backup and who better.

Is it just me or is Schneiderlin terrible? Never seems to get a good rating or is that a known bug or something.

Schneiderlin is great as a box to box cm. Tactically good to have as well given his good all round attributes.

Oh yeah, he's ideal for that.

I really like Schneiderlin, but he only seems to work in certain systems. I know I had to get him to unlearn one of his PPMs so he'd work as a holding mid, but he's far better off as a box to box, or especially as a ball winner.

Been minding my own business in France, just finished the 2nd season, won a cup, came 2nd in the league, but put the club in debt with my transfer dealings, which I'm busy trying to repair, but all in all going well for Nice.

Had a look over at Man Utd, under Mourinho's helm, and they've finished a league season without a single draw.

They beat Spurs in the League Cup and Arsenal in the Champions League final. The only draws in any comp, one in a first leg knock out in the CL to Juve, 2-2, and the other in the CL final to Arsneal, 2-2, won on penos....
