I've literally just taken over, so I don't really know. His ave rating is pretty good but his returns aren't spectacular.
Dunno, just seems to be a disconnect between everyone rating him in game and me thinking he's a bit meh.
I'd probably sell him if you can get better cheaper, but those average ratings are good, and he's good in all the key areas plus incredible stamina, teamwork and workrate, not to mention homegrown(I assume in nation at least). I wouldn't chuck him just because, though!

Okay, so I got the game, but the real names keep getting replaced with false ones. I've tried patches and all, none seem to work. There were a couple of patches where I thought it was going fine for a couple of months, and then boom! The entire footballing world, including myself, has new names.I love the game, but this is shit. I go back to FM 14.

.Starting a game in Germany with Gladbach, picked them completely randomly will update as and when stuff happens.
So can I get some help on this one? I have a striker I want to sell, his stats are borderline world class if not actually world class and his goal return is fine, but not good enough. He's demanded to join Manchester City, and I said I would sell him if a bid came in. His wages aren't astronomical and Man Utd bid £50m for him in January only for them to fail to agree terms.
But now I can't even give him away. I literally offered him out to clubs for £0 in the hope of enticing bidders and no one bit. How on earth do I clear this scrub out?

Was going to go with Gladbach but wanted a Prem save so I picked Bournmouth.
Trying to develop a new tactic, 4-2-3-1 attacking, fast paced and counter attacking way of playing.
Was given a 9 Million budget and Leicester offered me 11.25 Million for Callum Wilson so I accepted and brought in Lewis Cook (6.75 Million) and also Felipe Gutierez (3.8 Million). Eventually also signed Fosu-Mensah on loan as some defensive/midfield cover too as well as selling Harry Pugh for 1.8 Million
My expectation were set at avoid relegation so that is my plan for this season whilst trying to work my new tactic out. Had a really good positive pre-season, the players seemed to be adapting top the roles/tactic well and the results were positive too.
First game was Liverpool (A) where we came from behind to draw 1-1.Then lost at home to Arsenal and went on a bit of a bad run in the league until I managed to beat Watford. Managed to start a bit of a run after beating Arsenal away in the COC. Beat Watford away 2-0 and then Everton 2-1 at home, after going a goal down and also drawing 2-2 away at Newcastle after being 2-0 down.
Biggest positives so far player wise have been Lewis Grabban, 10 goals in 13 games so far and joint highest assists with 5 of those too. When I started the save I looked at selling a few players on and he was on that list so he's proved me wrong and been a great stand in after I sold Callum Wilson. Distin too has been fantastic at the back, quickly decided to partner him with Steve Cook and they've made a great CB pairing backed by Federici who's been absolute quality at times too. Felipe Gutierez I took a chance on from Twente after deciding I need a proper CAM I scouted him and liked the look of him and his stats for the price of 3.8 Mil. Frustrated me at first as the first time he played he got injured for 4 weeks and then on his comeback game managed to get himself injured for another 3 weeks, not great especially as he's my only natural CAM in the squad. Been decent since he started playing after his second injury though!
Looking forward right now I think in January I'm going to look at getting a proper backup CAM to Gutierez and also try and find a replacement for the aging Distin (37 y/o). Those are my two main priorities as far as acquisitions are concerned.

IIRC Gutierez is great, and very versatile.
Loaded up my 2012 game due to some down time at work, meh all my saves are corrupt and gone.

Manchester City have been sniffing around this guy, my ass man rates him at 5 star and he'll net me £60m+ if I sell, but in terms of his stats he's rubbish, right? Would anyone not take £60m for hims if offered?
To be honest he looks like a hard working old school left winger. Set him up with the support duty, with a decent striker he could easily get 20 assists a season you would expect. Nothing stands out massively but he's very well rounded. The teamwork/workrate/stamina means he will run for days. Make him work on his crossing/dribbing a bit, his off the ball could improve better too.
Having played a season with him now, the winger duty really struggles to get the best out of him for some reason, although I agree that his stats suggest that he should be perfect for it. I made a point of keeping him in the summer just gone (the attacks main problem was the supposedly world class striker we had who couldn't finish his dinner) and because I splurged almost my entire transfer budget on this beauty:

I haven't actually completely decided haha. He's so bloody good anywhere I play him its hard to pin down where he's best. At the minute I'm leaning towards an advanced playmaker in central midfield (I don't currently play with an AM and don't really want to change my formation because its working well) but I've used him at right wing too and he's ridiculously productive there as well.
Yeah he looks a player that's more creative/attacking than defensive, if he's in a 3 man midfield it would be ideal, or even an AMC with the AP support. Either way he's the sort of regen that you excited for this game
Did you accidently check "replace real names with fake names" when starting a new game? Pretty sure it's one of the options, it's usually left blank but you must have hit it on accident.
Just bought this for my MacBook Pro 2015 (i7 + 16GB Ram etc).
The game seems so laggy, seems a few other have an issue with it on this laptop too.

In the space of a few days my first choice RB, LB, GK and CAM have all been injured before my biggest match of the season
I have a MacBook Air and it runs like a dream (I'm also in 2041 and have about 12 leagues loaded). Do you mean the 3d match engine though, or the game in general? Because I never play in 3d because I hate it.

Anyone had any success with Greizeman for United? I signed him in the summer, well Ed signed him for me, and it's now March yet I can't seem to get any sort of decent form out of him. I was going to play him on the right and Depay on the left, but Zivkovic's form scrapped that idea. Then Depay got injured for 4 months so I put him back on the left, yet he's still not doing that well. He disappears in tough games, only scores against shit teams and even then not that often. He's also a bit of a bitch, team talks only ever affect him negatively if at all and he started a whole uproar over one in particular. I might need to shift him in the summer. He misses about 4 or 5 chances every match.
This is my soon to be legendary right winger. His stats are just perfect for an out and out winger
I've only ever had him at Athletic Club, and usually built around him being the main striker. He's a monster up front.
Just the game in general, don't play 3D either.

I couldn't get anything from him on the left so I Played him as a CF (S) in a flat 4-4-2 scored 13 and assisted 7 including the most important goal of the season on the last day to make it 1-1
I might give him a try up front then, but he misses so many chances I'm afraid to drop a striker for him.

Main priority after shipping so many goals was getting some good defenders in. In came Lovren and Fuenes Mori.
