Gaming Football Manager 2016

He's on my game, at Strasbourg. Pretty shit stats, joined them for 81k.

Won everything with Spurs multiple times (3 CL's in a row and counting) but I don't fancy another job, I'm thinking of going into fantasy mode and pretending the club has come into financial crisis! I'll sell 90% of the squad and rebuild with kids.

Pogba Tielemans Alli
Embolo Berardi Lemar

Is unstoppable with Martial and G.Barbosa waiting to fill any of the front 3 positions.

Aye, Barca gone to shite in mine too, scraped 4th season one, firmly mid table season two.

Moyes is Barca manager on mine. Alex Neil manages Chelsea, Rafa is the Arsenal manager.

I'm only in November on my second season

David Moyes is at Wolfsburg on mine. Rafa at Valencia, Pep at Chelsea, Mourinho at City. De Boer is at United and doing well.

Moyes spent two years at Spurs, then he went to AC Milan.

Rafa went to Monaco and Bayern, but didn't win anything. He's retired, so I've just got that summary thing.

Pep left City for Arsenal, then Spain, then Monaco, and now he's back at City.

Mourinho went to Roma, then Man City, and now he's managing Italy.

In terms of the big clubs, Rui Vitoria manages Chelsea, Unai Emery manages Arsenal, Jurgen Klopp manages Barcelona, Roger Machado manages Real Madrid, and Julian Nagelsmann manages Bayern.

Just started a save with St. Pauli, it's a shame a couple of their better players start injured, but should be fun.

Might try and build a direct attacking system with them, punk rock football for a punk rock fanbase. Or something that defends deep and hard, but launches forward quickly once we have the ball.

Perhaps a little ambitious to start with...

Just had a message to say that my 24 year old midfielder is considering retiring because of an injury that keeps coming back. I've never had that before.

Apart from the bit where I'm maybe losing a player, that's pretty cool.

So.. With my scouting -> DoF setup, I've managed to accumulate about 30 of the most exciting players in every position over the last 4 seasons. I've honestly no idea how to deal with it, so I'm just sending everyone out on loan every year and keep the very best of the lot every year. I'm looking at shipping players with 4 star ability on loan because they'll ask to leave otherwise....

Why do I always do this :(

Edit: And the fecking club is looking at a £500m profit this season but refuse to let me have an affiliate because of the financial situation? #GlazersOUT #Greenandgold4life

So. I won the Champs league with Villarreal against Liverpool at Old Trafford. 5-3 after extra time and I had Renato Sanches sent off. I knocked out Man utd in the semi finals, felt quite bad.

Also, i just realised my defence is all M's - Mas, Mere, Mammana, Mario and on the bench Musacchhio. I have Moi Gomez in the team too. Might try to create a team filled with M named players.

edit: feck, Inter activated Moi Gomez's release clause.

Yeah, I had that with Lamela. Kept getting back strains, he didn't retire though.

Turns out it was too ambitious, didn't have the players for it, so I switched to a sturdy 4-4-1-1 and 1-0'd & Van Gaal balled my way to the 2nd div. title. Half the squad wanted new contracts after this, and were told get to feck. So I have a almost new squad, with very few Germans(need to sort that). On the upside, while we're not ready to play dynamic attacking football in the Bundesliga, we have the bones of it in the squad, and are handily battling in the top half of the table. My former key player, and biggest wage whiner Rzatkowski is currently bumming around in the last spot on 4 points in November with Ingolstadt. His replacement was Mats Moller Daehli.

Johannes Eggestein, Mats Moller Daehli, Gerard Gumbau, Zach Clough, Fernando Cano, Matheus Pato and with Robin Knoche joining next Jaunary, we're got a potentially bright future.

I had a fella like that, kept threatening to retire due to a recurring injury, except his recurring injury was a cold.

Hell of a first season in the Bundesliga!

Everything just worked out well, won a few key 6 pointers, drew the rest and when we dropped points the others around us did too.

Finished 3rd with Newcastle, and Madrid came calling after the season was over. Newcastle finished 20th in the league the next season, whilst I reached the CL final, only to be beaten by... Newcastle

Good job. How the hell do you finish seasons so fast?!

Touch is really quick, especially on my tablet where I'll just have three countries loaded.

Ah, that explains it. I think I'm way too used to the full-fledged FM to ever go to Touch.

Started another new save this time with United as the bayern save bored me. Won 6 bundesliga titles in a row, 5 german cups but couldnt win the CL once. Probably the 1st version of FM where i've started so many new saves.
Anyway...sold Lingard, Jones, Fellaini, Rojo, Valencia, Romero and the captain. In came Koke, Thiago, Gabby Barbosa, Embolo and Varane

DDG, Darmian-Smalling-Varane-Shaw, Morgan, Koke, Thiago, Memphis LW, Barbosa RW and Martial up front in a 4-3-3

Players like Blind, Herrera, Rashford, Bastian, Mata and Joel Perrera on the bench

Played 5, won 4 in the league. Beat Liverpool 3-2 with a last minute Mata pen and just drew 3-3 with Chelsea. I drew Sporting lisbon in the CL and lost the away leg 2-0 but won 3-0 at OT.

Star man so far is Koke. Playing him as a box to box MF and he is on drugs! My top scorer, has a rating of 8.0 and is leading assist maker aswell.

Give it 2 weeks untill i'm bored again

Started a new save with Villarreal, somehow lucked my way to a 2-0 victory over Barcelona as Suarez got a calf injury early on and they decided to keep him on the pitch for the rest of the match. But took off Messi, Iniesta & Rakitic instead? they're 11th in the table so not doing too good.

I'm currently 8 points clear of La Liga too, it's only in December mind, but things are looking good. :D

I smashed a few league titles with St.Pauli, and made it to the semis of the CL once. Signing Yacob and the Welsh Xavi on a free was fantastic business, and I turned Cubas into one of the best wingbacks in football.

Kinda want to start something different now, something where I can work with a club philosophy and youth development, like Ajax, or something.

Weird bug in my save. Playing against Barcelona and it said Busquets has been injured by Januzaj (they're teammates). This was in the 8th minute so I expected them to make a sub, but they didn't? Just kept on with 10 men (still scored twice ) they made two subs at half time but not a replacement for Busquets.

Welcome to the yellow submarine :) They're a great club to manage on FM.

Loving them right now, Samu, Samuel, Bailly, Bakambu & Trigueros are tearing things up for me right now.

Hoping I can stay with them for a while, and improve their stadium and youth set up and stuff, my league form has made my status almost untouchable in the first season.

I've started a save with Real in the Portuguese third division, a semi pro club with cracking facilities and youth recruitment. Nani played there before going to Sporting.

Anyway, I want to stick to a youth-youthish challenge, and decided I'd try to follow Crewe's principals. So, give youth a chance, attacking football, develop players technically, fair play.

The thing is, reading an interview with their manager, he said it's important to bring in experienced players to help them(the youth) along, I've no problem with this, but I need to limit it, and can't decide between 2 transfers in per season, or 1.

This has been pretty crazy so far.

Season one, I played a forward thinking 4-3-3, and ripped through the third division, despite the squad being crap.

In came the youth intake, and it came up with three real gems, Oliveira, Gaspar and G. Carvalho. They were automatically 4*+, and in the top 5 players at the club.

Season two, and in the second division, we kept the pace, with a severely unbalanced squad, the five lads at 4* and the entire rest of the squad 1.5*. All of the regens were strikers(though one was more of a mid) so to of them were retrained as midfielders just to get them all on the pitch(one of the original decent players was a striker too....). Won promotion, by attacking everyone expecting us to be an easy 3 points. Still finished 4th or something, but behind all of Porto-B, SCP-B, and Benfica-B, who can't be promoted. I think the 2nd promoted team finished 7th.

Some more good prospects came in the second intake, mainly V. Carvalho, but none were first squad ready.

This left me in the first division with a bunch of useless scrubs and a small core of players who were maybe good enough for the second division. Along with feck all money to spend. I had to break the limit on incoming transfers, otherwise I'd have been sacked within a month. I think it's fair enough though, most of the players I brought in were 19-23 year old cast offs from the big Portugese boys. So, it's still youth. Picked up a few regens too, including a striker that Madeira sold me me on the cheap(Martinez) which was a surprise as he looks a tidy prospect. Still, I had to sell one of my best prospects(and key players) in Oliveira, to Roma, but 3.5m a sell on fee and a free loan back is massive for the club and allowed me to spend 750k on a cracking African CB, Quaye, which I badly needed(not had a good start, mind). Also landed this regen from Osasuna(Galan), he was transfer listed, I have no idea why....

Squad is still mostly second div. level players tbh, but they're the best I could get and afford, and they all have room to grow into fine players, hell, all I have to do is be better than two teams in the league, I think I can manage that. Started off with 4 draws, including away at Porto.

Also, I have no idea why, but any save I start on my tablet, when transferred to PC, the regens have no generated faces. They have standard regen faces on the tablet itself.....

Shout out to Real Madrid to loaning me Vietto for two years with no recall option, a £12m future fee and only paying 10% of his wages. I'm not even paying a loan fee. Topped with Bayern loaning me Kingsley Coman and Sane for 2 years each just makes it feel a little unfair

That Calleri, never managed him but whoever signs him on FM turn into a beast of a side. Scores plenty of goals.

We were lucky to hold him to one, tore us apart time and time again for 90 minutes. This is his first season with Sporting and he's on a goal a game for them.

Never really were in danger of relegation in the end, after winter it looked like we might ruffle the feathers of the Europa contenders but we Spurs'd the run in.

Calleri is a monster.

Ended up facing a monstrously difficult summer. Being a low rep club with cheaply valued players doing well, the bids flooded in, I lost some of key players, some of my best prospects. I did manage to keep some of my faves though with new contracts and rejecting bids daily.

Not massive money, but massive for a club who started the summer 2m in the black. Most of them had loan backs and 50% sell on fees too, so when they start getting chucked about amongst the big boys, we'll benefit too.

Mostly replaced them with cheapies and transfer listed players, which was the most difficult part, as I was only getting 20% of outgoing transfers to strengthen with.
The biggest deal at the time was Shved, the young winger was unhappy at Seville, huge impact so far, they guy is all hustle.
As the window drew to a close, some hot prospects I had my eye on became interested in a move, so I scraped my funds together and picked up a pair I believe will go to the very top in Menéndez and Boudon.
There are some future transfers set up too, this pair being the most notable.
Charles Alhassan, even if he doesn't have worldie potential(though he has the signs of being special, 8 caps at 17!), all he needs is a kick in overall pace, off the ball movement and dribbling and he'll be an absolute monster.
Luis Rodríguez, weak distribution, but that doesn't matter when I have my keepers roll it to the CB's, as a stopper he could become an iron wall.

One player of note came through the intakes, Matos looks like he could hit the first team in the near future, but needs major development in technical skills.

The save has morphed from the original intent of an academy save, into more of a scrappy group of not-wanteds' upsetting the apple cart, and we've started this season with 3 wins in 3, though I don't expect us to pull a Leicester, that's for sure! Still happy with things, despite moving to a necessary transfer driven plan, it's still youth focused, we're holding our own with a forward thinking brand of football, and clean football at that, developing technically gifted players for the most part(though standards have to be reigned in until we can have top quality players at the club), and doing it all making a massive profit. Stadium is freaking tiny, it's being expanded to 5k seats,, that's going to hold us back a bit for a while.

Jhon Arango is a good pick up at a very cheap price for anyone looking for a young midfielder. I paid 500k for him and he's on Renato Sanches standards on the game when he matures.
