Gaming Football Manager 2016

I've just signed a scout called Two-Boys Gumede. Who names their child Two-Boys?!

Just simulated up to the end of deadline day 2016 in this makeshift Chairman Mode. I didn't manufacture any deals for Mourinho. I just put £120m in the budget and left it all up to the management how to invest it.

Out:
Ashley Young, Stoke, £16.5m
Antonio Valencia, Villarreal, £9m
Phil Jones, Newcastle, £21m
Jesse Lingard, West Brom, £8m
Bastian Schweinsteiger, Spurs, £7.25m
Javier Hernandez, Atletico, £14.75m
Michael Carrick, retired.
Loads of youth/reserves released, most notably Nick Powell and Will Keane.
Total: £76.5m

In:
Youri Tielemans, Anderlecht, £9.5m
Paulo Dybala, Juventus, £39m
Dele Alli, Spurs, £22m
Danilo, Real Madrid, £23.5m
Total: £94m

Net spend: £17.5m

He's doing alright, this Mourinho chap.

Aye, you used to be able to get some much handier torrents of them, then all you needed was the regular and quick updates.
Don't they still have the torrents for the base version? That's what I did for the start of fm 2016 since the last one I had was way outdated

Ok so I resigned as Gyeongnam manager after just missing out on the playoffs and looked for another job but I searched for ages and found nothing so I've started again.

Applied for so many jobs and finally got one at Chilean second division club Deportes Puerto Montt. I joined halfway through the season with the club bottom of the league. It's weird how it works. There's an Opening Stage table and a Closing stage table. My first match I was 2 - 0 down but made some changes and managed to win 2 - 3. Then I won my second game too, and after checking the table thought that we must've started a new season because I was second in the league, but turns out you need to check the overall table so I'd actually just gotten out of the relegation zone. They'd won 2 in 15 before I arrived and now won 2 in 2.

The players actually have names that aren't all exactly the same too like Korea so I won't have to give them all nicknames.

Mourinho couldn't retain the CL in the 2nd season, narrowly going out to Atleti in the semis, but totally smashed the PL.

He won the World Club Cup on pens against Boca too.

Still favouring a small squad, but seems to be phasing out Juan Mata and bringing in Callum Gribbin as a #10.

Mourinho

Going to step back from the overshadowing. I've made Mourinho unsackable with the editor, and going to sim another 3 years in one, see where he's at by the end of 19/20. Him and his staff can make all the decisions with buying and selling. I expect complete world domination by that point.

Atletico in the first knockout round of the CL, somehow land a 2-1 win at Celtic Park, into the 2nd leg, classic bus parkage. 79th minute, on the only time a few of my players left their own half, 17 year old striker Johannes Eggestein absolutely Valencia's a shot into Godin's shins. The loose ball is picked up by Scott brown who backheels a through ball, splitting the best defence in Europe and Eggy places it in the bottom corner like a cold blooded killer.

On to Real Madrid...

For someone who is still playing the '13 edition; what are the biggest changes fram this to the newest version and how are they working? Have been studying a lot the last years so havent dared to start on a "new" game

Any torrents of this about yet? There were a few going about a couple of weeks ago but they had randomised names only.

I downloaded one a few weeks back which was legit with real names, but people in the comments section complained about players retiring at the age of 32 in the second season. I never played much, so can't be sure. You can try downloading it and see how it goes. File was only about 1.5 Gb.

It's that easy, Woody. Just give him the job and keep pressing spacebar, like I did.

So I just got a random message in November from my chairman saying he'd like a meeting to discuss an increase in the transfer budget. Obviously I said I'd love it to be increased and it went from £12m to £46m. Lovely.

My scouts are saying a striker with pretty good stats for his age is only 3.5 star potential and recommendation but the media describe him as a wonderkid? Who do I believe? My two main strikers are really good so not sure if that is messing up the recommendations but 3.5 star is pretty average?

Couple of things, one, the scouts may be underestimating his potential, two, potential goes by your whole squads quality, 3.5 stars could still be very good, third, "wonderkid" status is a current ability thing, and given to any young player of a certain current ability or higher, and has nothing at all to do with potential.

Cool thanks.

Why are my players always so tired? I don't do the training I leave it to the assistant. Do I need better staff? More rotation?

I never leave training to the assistants, feckwits, and prefer heavy rotation, means my squad are almost always very fit.

Also, they're only allowed bang each other 3 days before the game.

I kind of want to start a game with United, I rarely play as them as they're usually quite easy to win with. In this case though I kind of want to do a feck this season, feck Van Gaal, and feck everything save and fix them myself.

Still, it'd probably be too easy without some set of limits...

I always enjoy my youth only rule. It makes things a bit more exciting and doesn't have me dominating every competition at will after one or two seasons.

Rule 1: Players who aren't team-homegrown can't have their contract extended.
Rule 2: A player that isn't team-homegrown and gets an offer from another team that is at or above the market value of the player must be sold.
Rule 3: Only players 18 or younger can be bought. (They must be able to play three years, between the age of 18 and 21, at your club to become team-homegrown.)

Optional Rules to make it a bit harder:
- You can only buy u18 players who are EU citizens (takes away the huge pool of talent from Brazil and Argentina)
- You can only buy u18 players who are UK or Irish citizens (that's probably the hardest mode right now as I never see a lot of British or Irish top talents in my save games)

I started my "youth only" save last weekend but didn't get around to playing too much, still in pre-season and evaluating which youngsters I wanna bring in. So far only Ruben Neves has joined us.

I've done stuff like this in the past too, had a pretty amazing save with Roma that began where I'd only buy Italians, but later on became only from my own youth intakes, or I had one with Crewe that was only their intakes, or any player I could sign on a bosman before they were 18.

Just to decide what to do with United.

It's pretty amazing how well Mourinho does whenever I'm not managing United in the PL he basically wins it every year with Chelsea and I only really start beating them because I have a better squad after a few seasons until that point they are always my boogie team and Tottenham for some reason.

I think I really have to study Mou's ingame tactics a bit more, they seem to work like a charm.

want!!

Started an AC Milan save. Never done them before. They need to be restored to former glories, but Juve seem unstoppable in Serie A.

The squad is ropey, but there's so many bang-average players who I've been getting big fees for. £21m for Kevin Prince Boateng and £19m for Keisuke Honda, both heading to Russia. £27m for Jeremy Menez; it's always great when Arsenal bid for a player you're not bothered about keeping. You can just keep pushing them, and they'll cough up Their original bid was £13m! Made another £38m cleaning out the cloggers in the reserves. A good foundation for buying top young players. I'm intending on only bringing in players under 23, Milan have a big enough reputation to attract the highly rated youngsters, but the mass overhaul might mean the first season is a bit chaotic.

Starting off with a bastardized 4-4-2 with a DM and a withdrawn 'shadow striker' in a mad pressing, gung-ho counter attacking set up. Bollocks to possession. Clear to flanks, drilled crosses, metric cuntloads of goals.

I'm in 2019 with Leeds. Qualified for the Europa League last year and I'm currently 4th this year with 3 games left. I'm also the France manager and I'm pretty sure I set my past experience to international player at the start. Why then, does a regen from Independiente have no interest in joining me?

Just to continue this story:

As you all know, I'm not the one to hold a grudge. So obviously I would never accept a job again in Ligue 1 after leaving the scumbag cheapskates at Reims, right? On the one hand, the gave me my first chance in the big leagues, they provided me with funds and backing as well as my two coaching badges. But on the other hand, they gave me a measly transfer and wage-budget in my second season.. Yeah, those feckers were going to pay for what torture they put me through, especially as they refused to let me go to Porto.

I got the job as the manager of Bordeaux, who failed to win any of their first 11 games in Ligue 1. How better to turn to, than to the Sam Allardyce of Ligue 1? That's right, I'm the saviour. Mostly because I needed to knock those feckers at Reims down a peg. Not that they really needed it though, as they were almost down in the relagation zone with Bordeaux as I sat myself down in the cushy office chair. My first action was obviously to send a mail containing tons of spyware and porn to my former director, though I'm yet to hear anything from them since...

Yet, I've managed Bordeaux for about 25 games now and we're currently 5th in the table. I did lose to Reims in my 2nd game in charge though, and I'm still fecking fuming. The beauty of this league is that there is literally 3 points between the 4th and 15th placed team, so it's all about going on a run to stay up the table.

As nearly every club I've managed so far, "handling finances" has been a huge part of the job (or so they tell me...), but rest assure that a mere suggestion of keeping the books balanced wont stop me signing up every free transfer fecker out there. The club was filled with superstars when I arrived though, with the likes of Simaõ (32 years old), Santi Cazorla (36), Samir Nasri (33), Olivier Giroud (34) and Sofian Feghouli (31). So obviously I had to add my own players as well, and for some reason I managed to bring in Patrick Roberts and Mario Götze on a free. Well, I say "some reason", but I know how. I smashed the wage structur at the club to pieces, handing out a yearly wage increase at 50% as well as a sell-on fee at 50% in addition to totally ruining my wage budget.

To be fair though, the idiot who was sacked before I was put in charge was the genious of handing a 80k++ a week to both Cazorla, Giroud and Nasri. Rest assure that the Arsenal rejects are already on their merry way out of the team as soon as the season ends.

Well hello there ya'll.

I'm a season and a half in the game after this post was made and it's all going swell.

The Bordeaux season was going great. I ended up losing out in the French Cup final, and managed to end up in 4th place in the league after a hard fought battle with everyone. My expensive stars was simply amazing, as Roberts and Götze reclaimed their reputation as world class players. I realise that I might've gone overboard with the extra fees and wage rises though, which is why I did more of them in the summer!

I use to love free transfers and bargains in this game, but when you manage the likes of United, players good enough to sign is hard to come by. I brought in Kevin Volland in the January window with a nifty "Buy now" button that I never knew existed. That kind of ruined the "free" transfer though, but still a bloody great signing for a team that ended up near the relegation zone before I arrived. Anyways, the season was over and summer was upon me. My free transfers was simply players who was on a free and I had no idea if I needed most of them. They all agreed with the promise of 50% wage increase and a 50% sell on fee though. Oh, and I managed to ship off the old Arsenal-crew. Or made them retire, after putting them with my reserves for a season. They tried to talk to me about their retirement, their unhappyness of being placed in the reserves, and even their playing time but they all left me alone after being left alone in my waiting room for a week and half without anyone being allowed to talk to them.

But I digress.. Giroud, Nasri and Cazorla finally retired and left me a war chest in terms of wages. The club refused me extra budget though, so I started plotting the clubs demise. As one do when he is crossed by the club that gave you everything except the one (or twelve...) requests I made. Sam Allardyce does not take shit from anyone, and the one in Ligue 1 does not either. I have to be honest though, managing in the French league is fun. I totally shat on my old club, the cheap bastards. I signed up all their shitty coaches and scouts, and unsettled their players. And I totally crushed them in the league. I actually got knocked out of one of the French cups and the Europa League because I rested players ahead of my games against Reims (my old club, if you lazy bastards have been paying attention).

I digress once again. The summer arrived, and determined to both achieve success personally as well as destroying my club for being cheap (a trend for my clubs so far...), I dove into the free transfer market once again. And What.A.Market.
I managed to sign up all of these lovely players, who went straight into my first team and completely screwed the wage budget every possible way:

Jeremie Boga
Dominic Solanke
Serge Aurier (insane wages, the fecker)
Kevin Volland
Niklas Süle
Alexandre Lacazette
Antonio Rüdiger

and some regens who were very decent.

They did well, except a few who either got long term injuries (Lacazette, Aurier) or caused a fuzz because they didnt get to play. Because I overstocked every single attacking posititon in the team. Oops.
I hardly take well to complains though, and they all got told to get to feck out of my office, as they were disturbing my search for a new club.

The season started though, and I did extremely well as you would expect with the talent available to me. Come the end of the January transfer window, and Götze is sold to PSG for a silly amount of money and Lucas Romero is shipped out to Barca for an even more ridiculous amount. They were really great for my team, but I need to make some financial room to sign up a few players whos contract were expiring in 6 months.

I end the season in 2nd place after a hard fought battle with Monaco, as PSG won the league in March. I actually won the French Cup after the easiest run of fixtures I've ever had. I'm about to experience Champions League football for the first time ever in this save, but suddenly I got a message saying that my club was financially fecked and I'm about £10m above the FFP-limit. Which can probably mean that I wont get to play CL-football. No matter though, I'm certain that things are looking up as I'm about to strenghten the squad with 12 players coming in on a free, all of which will completely tap my club for any resources remaining. The accountants of the club tried to talk to me about this though, but as always I was balls deep in the job center, looking for a club who'll accept me for who I am. I might look for another French club though, simply to make sure that Bordeaux is properly beaten to their rightful cheap-ass deaths.

Or I might go to Portugal to feck over Sporting. Dont think I've forgotten how they treated me. In due time, I'll get my revenge on every club that ever wronged me.

Boris Derp recently gained his Continental C licence, which left him ecstatic. He needed help reading the words on the certificate, and he did drool on it a little bit, but still - he's now among the better football coaches in the world, and that made him very happy. Santos FC had come a long way under his leadership, finishing 4th in their first season back in the top flight of South African football, securing continential football and a place in the prestigious Super 8 pre season tournament (this South African football schedule is mental). He'd had a great recruitment drive over the summer, securing the signings of no less than 21 players and really strengthening the team to push on on all fronts in the busy season to come. He was confident that the board loved him and would give him everything he demanded. A figure of confidence and self-assuredness marched into the chairmans office, new certificate in hand:

'Chairman, look! I'm a CONTINENTAL coach now! How great is that?'
'Yeah... brilliant... look, can you catch me later Boris? I'm quite busy dealing with the paperwork that comes from signing 21 FECKING PLAYERS'
'lol yeah I got a bit carried away, soz. I want my B licence now, let me go please?'
'Sorry Boris, the team needs you here now. We have 21 new players, we need all the coaching staff possible around here to keep them up to speed'
'I guess my Continental B licence is not to B then...'
'Yeah I gue... wait, was that a pun? Feck me, that was terrible'
'lol'
'Ok well if that's all?'
'Nah, I quit'

And so it was - the Boris turned and walked out of the office a free man, ready to search for new and exciting opportunities. Who will take him on this time?

Boris decided he had liked the sunny climate of South Africa and wanted to carry on working on his tan - what better job to accept than the Jamaican national team?

He can't understand their accents, but Boris has touched down in Kingston!

Why are my players always so tired? I don't do the training I leave it to the assistant. Do I need better staff? More rotation?
I have a rotation every game. I play two different XIs unless a big game is coming up. That way less injury worries and the team stays fresh the entire season. I rotate even GKs although not every game. I play a minimum of 50-55 games a season. My first choice GK will 32-35 games and the second choice will get around 20 games a season.

I've started rotating GKs alot more than I used to as well. At Milan, I have a very promising young keeper, Donnarumma. He's ridiculous, but he's only 16. I play him in home games against anyone but Juve, Inter and Napoli, and also in away games in the cup against the lower sides. I play the very experienced Diego Lopez in away games in the league and important/rival games. It's working very well. My 2nd keepers always get pissy about not playing a few months in, but both are being kept happy, and Donnarumma seems to be getting better with each passing game. The kid is a monster. Lopez is solid and dependable and is doing a great job of tutoring the young lad.

Milan are great fun to manage. Carlos Bacca is awesome. I've snagged Mitrovic on loan too. He's mental, doesn't listen to anything I tell him, but scores feckloads of headers.
