Gaming Football Manager 2016

Want this game so bad but I'm swamped with school.

Looking forward to winter break, only 1 more month :(
 
Wow. What a second season. Won the league with 7 points ahead of City and won the CL final in a penalty shootout. The 120 minutes before that were total madness. I was 2-0 with 10 minutes to go and decided it was time to shut up shop with a 4-1-4-1. Real scored one minute later after a mistake from show and in the 84. minute from a corner. I went ahead 3-2 after Ramos had caused his second penalty that night only for Real to again equalize after 111 minutes, again from a fecking corner. Bale and Candevara both missed their penalties while my boys all scored. What an amazing battle. Cost me more nerves than I would have liked though.
 
Nobody found that the top 4 is at a ridiculously high standard? In my second season, and I'm again simply fighting to finish in the top 4. It seems you need around 90+ points to win the league and 80+ points to finish in the top 4. I finished 6th in my first season, too many draws but racked up about 78 points which should have got me there. This season its been City/Chelsea in 1st/2nd and us, Spurs Arsenal and Liverpool battling for 3rd/4th all within 1 point of each other all season. Hard work!
 
On my second season with Dortmund, bought Martial because he loved the idea of woking with me - his agent is difficult though
United bought Lewandowski & Douglas Costa to replace him :drool:

Anyone found any 5 star coaches that are getable for United in the first season?
 
My squad is absolutely fecked. Smalling out for 6 months, signed De Vrij as a replacement and he's out for 4. Memphis out for 2 as well. Currently languishing mid table after about 10 games but miles off the top already. Just got beat by Dinamo at home in the CL as well.
 
Tempted to buy this, but just got Fallout, and I've only so much time to dedicate. Ah well, It'll be purchased eventually I feel.

Just beat a struggling Bayern, 3-1. Kagawa ran riot.
 
Yeah injuries can be a real bitch. Bought Florenzi last season as a rotational option for right FB and right midfield slot in my 4-4-2 and he was fecking expensive, 48M GBP if I remember correctly, and he missed 45% of the season with injuries. Now this season I manage to bring Pogba back for a record breaking 95M GBP, first pre-season game and he gets injured for 7 weeks. Fecking typical.
 
I'm somewhat regretting filling my squad with promising youngsters and relying on Klose, Martial and Wilson to cover the striking positions. Klose I got cheap to be a role model for the other strikers so didn't expect much of him. Martial though just isn't delivering up front and I lack the funds to bring in a decent striker. I can't seem to shift Fellaini or Romero to free up funds.

Berardi on the right is the only one consistently scoring.
 
Managed to secure promotion for Salford, taking me into the Vanarama Conference! Managed to get through after a narrow 1-0 win in the playoffs, after Barrow destroyed the league.

None of my current, decent or better, players want to renew their contracts though! And the board refuses to give me any funds, and reject every request. I'll be amazed if I dont get relegated :lol:
 
I think they make it harder and harder to sell or loan players with every edition. I couldn't flog Ribery for any price. I even went as low as £500k. He's on pretty big wages for Bayern but a lot of PL clubs could pay it no problem. On what planet wouldn't someone snap up Franck Ribery for half a million? Where's all the QPRs and 2008/09 Portsmouth types with more money than reason? So I still have him. I've punted him into the reserves cos I just don't want him.

It took ages to get someone to bite for Lewandowski too. His market value is £51m. In come United and City with non-negotiable offers of £22m every other day. Aye, right. I'll sell the best centre forward in the game for half price. Why don't I just throw in Neuer for £5m, as a goodwill gesture? Eat shit.

Atypically, Arsenal wade in on deadline day. I wanted £80m. They'd only go to £60m. After a bit of haggling, they were willing to go £65m PLUS an £18.5m rated Hector Bellerin.


Bellerin is ridiculous too, btw. I've got Coman and Costa on the wings, and Alaba and Bellerin in support. Ridiculous pace.

So whats the best way to blow 60 million pre season for Man United? Who are the players who can contribute straight away?

Beradi was a beast in FM 2015. Same again in this edition?

What is it every year with me and the Europa League. I could be in a group with teams from San Marino and Gibralter and I'll still struggle :lol:

Yet I get out of group of deaths in the CL. Trabzbonspur currently giving my Dortmund team the run around!

He's hit the ground running for me. 4 goals in his first 4 games. He's first team ready straight away.

The team certainly still has a lot of growing up to do, Oliver, Silva, Martial and Kane all still have potential for development. My bench is also not too bad: Memphis, Rooney, Januzaj, Schweinsteiger, Herrera, Jones, Blind and Young to name the most famous.

I blew most of mine on Laporte for his £35.5 million release clause. Also brought Gabriel Barbosa for £14 million and another Santos player called Thiago Maia for about £6 million.

Laporte has been good. Maia I loaned out immediately and jury is still out on Barbose who hasn't scored yet despite getting a heck load of chances. Martial is doing better than him at the moment.
 
Regen development seems slower this version which is a good move.

Hopefully not as many teenage world beaters and players hitting their max potential by 21.

Well you can see the roles up top. I simply switch between my two tactics with counter and standard mentality. Team shape for both tactics is flexible.

Counter mentality: play out of defense, pass into space, be more expressive - If I want to be more defensive and hold the ball or your through balls don't go anywhere useful, just switch of the pass into space instructions.

Standard mentality: defensive line - higher, closing down - much more, play out of defense, be more expressive. I use this tactic against smaller opponents and if the spent too much time on the ball, just passing it around me.

Player instructions: I only have two players with individual instructions my CM-D has "close down much less" and my GK has in the standard version "distribute to center backs".

That's about it, nothing fancy really.

Only change I made since then was putting Rojo as a CD instead of BPD role. I had the feeling that he was making too many passing mistakes and tried if normal CD role would work better for him and it seems to have done the trick.
 
Ffs, not a great start to my Man Utd career.

Only won 1 game in 5 and knocked out of the Champions League in the qualifying stage. Fans are going to hate me more than Moyes
 
Loving it so far, managing Everton, sold Coleman and Barkley to utd and Chelsea respectively to finance my rebuilding. Brought in axel witsel, Charlie Austin, Gabriel barbosa and Juan Zuniga. Sitting pretty in 6th after 6 games, Austin on 5 goals already...
 
Started my 4th new save since the BETA came out this time with Everton. I'm in 6th place after 6 games, knocked out of the Capital one cup by Hull and i'm already 'under pressure'. Lukaku is suffering from Falcaolitus and my top scorer is Mirallas who isnt even an out and out striker. Delofeu has good stats but isnt doing much, I rejected bids for Barkley, Stones and Jagielka from Chelsea and the whole squad is against me for treating their team mates badly :lol:

I'm waiting for 16.2 before I play again. Striker finishing and offsides are too disgusting to play with.
 
Started a save with Hull and started off well playing a high tempo, wide 4-1-2-2-1. After 4 straight wins, things have taken a turn and I went 3 without scoring despite having numerous attempts in all 3 matches. My players have decided that they can't finish anymore when presented with fairly clear cut chances.

I was just thinking that! He is still at QPR. I could offload Lukaku and get a decent amount for him hopefully.

Sunderland - bottom of the league have destroyed me 4-0 scoring all 4 on the counter attack. I had like 30% possession all game. I'm tempted to use the 'become unsackable' feature on the IGE:nervous: Really want this to be my long term save. I managed to win the league with Everton on FM14 and want to replicate that.
 
feck off Laporte Agent called my 245k pw unacceptable when he was on 45k, and then he joins PSG on 190k
