Gaming Football Manager 2015

Playing FMC, so only the one Chief Scout. Also, playing as a team just promoted from Conference N/S, so semi-pro, no non English players will sign for an English semi-pro team unless already in England.
Ok . In that case consider resigning and start a new save.

Feck my kids got me to the capital one cup final where I would love to play them again but against a Liverpool team which will certainly play a full strength team I'm not will to risk it against anyone else I would send the kids out again as I wouldn't mind losing to them but I can't afford to lose a cup final against Liverpool.

Oh well that backfired. Lost 4-3 and Shaw got injured for 5 weeks. Just dandy.

Edit: Oh thanks SI. Good to know that when I have a league game coming up 13 of my first team players are having a national team game. Just great now I can't even rotate the first team players that are tired after our stupid loss against Liverpool. Just fantastic. Expect the injuries to come in numerous and fast any second now.

Oh my fecking god what a game against City. The game threw everyone at us and we still emerged victorious against the feckers. Had a game only 48 hours before the City game while City for whatever reason was allowed to rest and now has a game in hand. So I rotate to my kids again against QPR and they absolutely destroy QPR 7-1.

Now after only one day of rest my lads are out again against City. We totally dominate the game until City scores out of the blue. Till that point I had 4 CCCs and not a single shot on goal and those feckers score with their first shot of the game absolutely infuriating. Than Shaw picks up an injury again and 5 minutes before half time fecking Evans gets send off. At this point I of course think it's one of those games the game decides you have to lose.

But I decided not to give up and at least try everything I got. Made some tactical changes. Switched to a 4-3-3 without the striker and used my third sub on van den Bossche who is my only real inside forward. The lads gave their best and even with one man less on the field the managed to produce chances but still no luck. City also getting their chances now with one player more on the pitch but overextending a bit so I drop my d-line a bit deeper and bam in the 70th minute Brandt finally scores after some great passing moves from my team.

City are coming at me like mad now. Brandt again. He this time recives a long ball from one of my defenders gets into the penalty area sees van den Bossche on the left coming on and crosses it the to the Belgian, but he instead of finishing it himself sees that Odegaard is totally free right on the penalty spot, heads it over to him and he scores 2-1. At this time I'm jumping up and down yelling at my screen and at City to feck off, just fecking awesome.

Naturally City are mad as hell now rushing at me producing two more good chances but Scuffet keeps the ball out the rest of my young team remains calm and in the 88th minute after some lovely passing moves van den Bossche again with a lovely cross which finds Rafael this time who still had the energy to come all the way forward to finish this lovely move. What a feeling to turn this game completely around with one man down and everything seemingly going against us. Amazing game.

Edit: Btw if anyone is interested I could actually make a highlight video out of this game and upload it tomorrow evening.

No need for that, complaining about the squad I've dragged together, but they're hanging on in 4th, in a playoff spot in October. I expect to drop off, but I'm happy enough to stay safe of relegation and maybe pick up dome decent players next year.

My best CB though, is a 16 year old regen I picked up as a free agent, and is 2* CA.

Sounds like on of those games is someone was playing as City they'd complain about a broken match engine! :D I'd love to see that highlight vid, though!

You know how I know this game is bullshit?

I play arsenal in the league...at home...pretty much full strength. Lose 2-4 and pick up some injuries. Next league game I pick up a couple more.

Next game? Away to Arsenal in the CL quarter final. Due to injuries and suspensions, I have one sub on the bench. The real kicker? No. Available. Keeper.

Raheem Sterling...yes, that one...has to go in goal.

I won 1-0.

How bad did it get if only 12 players were available? No u18s?

Forget I posted that...completely made a mistake

Ended up with a 20 y/o old in goal, not Sterling. For some reason the question before the game was along the lines of

"you've sprung a few tactical surprises here with Sterling in goal"

but that wasn't the case. Trolled by a fictional reporter.

I love putting a outfield player in goal, the media preview is funny, "I was going to pick *team*....."

Also, 32 games in, and I take a slender lead at the top of the Conference, mine to loose now, and hopefully professional football awaits.

Has anyone ever bought Gabriel Barbosa for United? If so how's he done for you? Decided not to buy Falcao as he's too expensive for the amount of goals he scored (around 8).

I have, absolutely smashing purchase.

I played a diamond with United, and he was equally stellar in either striker slot(AF & DLF) and at AMC, as an option/super sub for the first season while he grew you couldn't ask for more.

My first team forward options were,
Falcao/Wilson-----RvP/Rooney
Januzaj/Mata
With regular injuries to Falcao, RvP and Mata, he was getting piles of games all over the front.
Ended up not keeping Falcao, as I had other parts of the squad I wanted to build on more, despite him tearing teams apart for me, so for the 2nd season it was,
RvP/Wilson-----Rooney/Barbosa
Januzaj/Mata

Barnet in the playoffs, that's what I like to see!

FM is taking the piss, the Austrian Cup is on rank 2 of the cup competition reputations at the moment, right behind the FA Cup, ahead of DFB Pokal and Copa del Rey.

No wonder! Have you seen either of United, Real or Bayern ever winning the Austrian Cup? No, because that's how hard it is!

Well, I won the Austrian Cup, for about the last 5 times and the CL for the last 4 times, but still, it's a joke. The Austrian league in comparison is on rank 9 in the reputation ratings.

The easiest one tbf, Red Bull. After a few seasons they can easily become a European powerhouse, whilst your 2nd string smash the league unbeaten, and your kids take the cup.
I play with Sturm, my favourite club together with United. I am walking absolutely everything, and by everything I mean all 5 trophies per season, but I only have 1 Austrian player who plays regularly, since the regens in Austria are mostly shit, that's the only thing that annoys me about the save.
I kinda like those savegames where you can totally dominate domestically, but have to concentrate for International Football, probably why I liked playing with Ajax too.

How long did you play with RBS? Do you know what the strength of regens in a country is based on or if countries even develop over the time in that aspect? Do you know if the money you get for success and TV money develops?

My favourite (regen) player in my current savegame, mainly because he's a 200cm tall Machete wo slays the opposition players down like they're nothing, world class potential:

Five or six years, Red Bull get decent Austrian regens, especially in 15, I found all the very best popped up at Austria Wien though, and in other saves I've seen some class pop up at Sturm. Believe it or not, on my current save I'm after signing 3 Austrian regens, none world class, but for Englands lower leagues they should grow into crackers. Best I had at Red Bull was a 15 year old worldie I poached from St. Pauli, but the little cnut instantly declared for Germany after signing for me.

I don't remember the money situation tbh, as Red Bull are basically sugar daddies.

Well yeah, for the Austrian league and for lower English League clubs, but that's basically nothing.

I used to get about one a season that's do as a squad player for a European regular. Seriously though, the Austria Wien guys used to piss me off with the quality they'd drum up.

This is the best Austrian regen I've come across in any of my recent saves. 2.5*ca for my squad, so miles off hitting his potential, worldie in the making.

Best Austrian player in my squad and only player who can compete with the first eleven:

I guess he's a little below world-class, although its incredibly hard to tell how good a player really is in a shit football country like this.

Has anyone else got the feeling that it's almost impossible to get a player back to fitness once they pick up an injury? Wilson got injured early in the season and every time picked up an injury within the next one or two games, no matter if playing in the reserves till match fit or for my first team. Now I have the same problem with Zivkovic for 5 weeks, can't get him back to full fitness again before he gets injured again which means I'm essentially left with a 17 year old, talented but not very good striker and my team has really suffered because of it.

Looks pretty good to me. Little more Vision and Composure and he'd be an absolutely stellar playmaker.

It depends on the players natural fitness, and injury proneness for me, but I'll usually bench them and 20 minutes at the end of games until they're close to match fit, takes a little while, but works well enough.

Now I have to see if it was worth splunking all this money on Neymar or not. Hopefully I haven't ruined my save by going for him. Sold Balotelli and Sturridge in consecutive seasons. Both to Arsenal. They pretty much financed my Neymar deal themselves, giving me 70m for the pair of them. Oh...and I signed Jese too...just in case. I pretty much stole Madrid and Barca's young talents for myself.

Markovic won the Golden Boy in his first season, but I knew he wouldnt get as much playing time, so loaned him to Roma. They gave him one game all season...so now he's not really progressed at all. Munir won the Golden Boy in the second season..so at least I have one of my players retaining the award :)

Attacking talent of Munir, Neymar, Sterling, Coutinho, Depay (who's ridiculous...didn't really believe it until I saw his scoring last season from the wing)

Still haven't really addressed my defence yet...but I figured it's in the spirit of Liverpool to have a shite defence.

feck, this game is sort of easy at times  Back to back promotions from Conference North and now I've brought FC United into the Championship! :D Been predicted to finish dead last every single season. Only a few more seasons, and I'll decide if I keep going with the club, or if I jump ship to win something in Germany (provided I win the PL, obviously!)

You should play a few more years, only until you break Manchester United's Premier League wins record...

Motivation is everything. And seriously, United haven't won it more often in your save?
Nah, they've won it once. Chelsea and Arsenal (!) has been very dominant for the last decade.

I might've been too successfull too fast with FC United though, the club is not able to keep up financially. I get 0% of my outgoing transfers now, and the finances are insecure :(

I might end my time at FC United early though. I've promised myself that I'll accept either of the Chelsea or Bayern-job ever since I started the save, but both have been unavailable ever since I started. Now either of their coaches are favorites to the Man Utd-job...

Edit: Never mind, Ståle Solbakken got the Man Utd-gig. He was the one who took my place at Ajax after I quit, and now I'm linked to the Ajax-job

How are you all finding it when you're changing jobs? Are you being offered them straight out, are you being linked to them and then you apply, or are you straight up just applying/resigning and applying as and when they become available?

Asking because I've got Huddersfield into the Prem now and I'd like to do a Mourinho and win a title in each nation, but don't know if I need to piss off the board to do that...

I'm getting ALOT of interview offers, and then they offer me the job basically. I had to court the Real Madrid-job abit, but the board usually love me by the end of every stint at the club, so they dont really do anything. It was easier before I had to exclude certain leagues because I'd already won something there. It's harder when I have to get a job in England/Germany, but atleast now I can stick with FC United if they dont offer me a interview at Bayern.
