Gaming Football Manager 2015

Cesena just had a player booked for appealing for offside from an own goal where I shot from 20 yards and a defender inexplicably put the rebound into his own net

Was given 16-1 to win the Champions League this season (as Europa League Champions)

Having a laugh aren't they

Pissing the league again this year, just look at my GD in comparison with the rest of the league

Fiorentina only have two players who are even remotely first-team quality home-grown at the club, so come CL registration I have to leave 3 spaces open.

Not sure what I'm going to do about it, I've signed a few youngsters who will count as home-grown at club the year after next, but I can't even buy anybody good who's previously been at the club - the only ones are Llajic and Jovetic, at Liverpool and City respectively.

Splashed £80 million on Neymar. Then he goes and does this in his second game for the club.

Broke Harold Halse and George Best's ancient record for most goals in a game. Good show.

fecking shit game, I hate it.

In my third season with Stoke all my players suddenly decided to turn to shite. So after finishing seventh and six in the first two seasons, I'm fighting relegation thirty matches into the third season.

After a ridiculous loss against Arsenal (who are Stoke's main rivals it seems) from being three nil up, I went full on mental and decided to just quit and replay that game until I won it. It took me about seven or eight attempts but I finally did it with a 92nd minute winner from Ødegaard, and then the game goes and fecking crashes for the first time ever directly after I hit the finish match button. Obviously, in the exhilarating thrill of finally having overcome the god damned conspiracy the game had made against me, I had not yet hit save at that point.

Shit game. Rated zero on a scale from one to fifty million by myself. Do not buy!

I still haven't picked a team, ffs, looked at Eibar, but I'm not sure. Sassuolo was another option, but probably too easy. Thought I'd go jobless/low rep, but I don't know if I have the heart to start in the arse end of Chorley or whatever.

Hertha Berlin?

What do people do here to develop youth. Ive read theres not much you can do under age of 18 except have good standard of facilities and coaches, you shouldnt loan them out till get into u21s.

How do you loan to a decent team? Whenever i put youth up for loan its always shit clubs like yeovil or l. Orient that want them. How do you get them to decent foreign sides?

main reason i ask is ive just got odegaard and tielemans and i want to develop them right.

I'll have a look, cheers.

I never loan them out, not ones I have important plans for, feck letting the AI develop them. Leave them in the U18's to develop, under my control, give them cup games and 20-25 minutes on the tail end of games. That'll develop them far more than any loan. In one save on 14, where I had top youth facilities, and all 4-5* coaches, I had 'em walking out of my U-18's with 160+CA, at 17-18. Was like a wonderkid factory.

I'll only loan them if they're fully developed, or too developed to sit in my youth teams, and I don't have the space for them in the first team yet. Or that I'm trying to give them first team football to up their value if I have no use for them, so I can sell on at a profit.

EDIT: With Odegaard and Tielemans, I'd drop them right into the squad rotation.

I'm pretty similar to @Earthquake, no loans unless they're too developed or intended for sale. The only difference is that my first team squad consists of 11 first team players (who are often pretty young anyway) with 11 youngsters (below 22, younger than first choice in their position) backups. The problem I have is that the youngsters are always reaching their potential insanely young. I have Shaw at 22 years old, developing into a world class LB, and a regen LB at 17 years old who is ridiculously close to overtaking him in terms of ability. Same story across most of the pitch. I tend to play the two sets of 11 players in alternate matches to keep everyone at top condition, end up walking every competition though

Hmm, I need a new challenge, getting bored with Crewe.

Perhaps something in full fat, as one thing I do miss is the homegrown rules, I prefer them over just trying to keep the squad national.

Maybe Bilbao, loved them in 14.

I've never done this personally so don't know if it's boring but maybe try one of the other continental leagues? Somewhere like Australia, Mexico, South Africa etc. Would be very different!

Oh yeah, strict rotation is how I do it too. In Austria, I had my starting 11 exclusively for CL football, backups for the league, and my U-18's took the cup every year, ffs.

Might be worth looking into too, Mexico could be good! I'd love to do the MLS but all that draft and salary caps and stuff is beyond me.

In the 35th game of the season, Aquilani decided he fancies scoring his first goals of the year, and proceeded to score from 55 yards from a GK free kick near the corner flag and then hit a last minute winner from 35 yards. Decent day at the office.

Got back into this over the festive period. Left a Cambridge double promotion team after the board gave a ridiculously pitiful amount of funds for the Championship. Joined Mainz in the Bundesliga 2. Got them promoted and Klopp left Dortmund for Germany. Applied for the post through cheekiness and amazingly got job after they finished 10th.

Gone for a back 3 approach as Liverpool offered £20m for a 29 year old Schmelzer so I decided to cash in on old full backs and wingers to build a decent squad. Nani out for 6m to Porto. Aubameyang to Wolfsburg 11m. Mkhitaryan to Atletico for 22.5m. Piszczek and Blaszczykowski to Monaco for 10.5m. Immobile to Roma for 19m. Jojic to Ajax for 9.25m Durm to Lazio for 12.5m.

GK (Sweeper Keeper support) - Szczesny - Bought for £11m, Weidenfeller needed replacing at 36 and he was all that was available

LCB (CD stopper) - Balanta - already at the club thankfully.
CB (BPD cover) - Hummels
RCB (CD stopper) - Ginter

LCDM (BWM defence) - Kramer / Schneiderlin - Kramer joined the season and Schneiderlin was a steal at 12m from Southampton
RCDM (BWM defence) - Sven Bender

CM (RPM support) - Gundogan / Goretzka - Picked up Goretzka from rivals Schalke for 14.5m, fans weren't happy but feck them. He's class.

LAM (IF attack) - Reus
CAM (AP support) - De Bruyne - 28m. Emptied my bank account on him as Kagawa has barely played in the past 3 seasons and has gone to pot.
RAM (IF support) - Schurrle - They bought him the season before for 33m. Thank god they did too.

ST (CF support) - Aboubakar - They bought in the first season for 17.5m

Julian Brandt came in for 16m and Gaston Gil Romero too for 6.5m. Milik as a cheap backup striker too for 5m.

I'm optimistic of a title challenge ahead if the formation doesn't get torn apart. Gutted that Utd chose Blanc to replace LVG after Pep wanted the job. Thought if he left i'd be in with a much better shout.

Just finished my second season with Burnley. Aiming for a mid table finish and ended up qualifying for the Champions League

United just sacked Van Gaal and offered me an interview. I think I am going to decline that. It would be a step down!

Can anyone who has managed United on the game tell me what sort of transfer budget you got in your second season? Also some alternative striker signings you've made instead of keeping Falcao?

Think I got about 100 million in the second season. Something similar to that every year. When they initially set it towards the end of the season it's usually tiny, then when the sponsorship money comes in just before the transfer window starts it's bumped up to something insane.

I kept Falcao after the first season, since he scored 40 odd goals for me. I bought Munir (Barca always seem happy to let him go) and Carlos Fierro, can't remember for how much. After a year or two of development, both of them are awesome, challenging my first choice strikers (Messi and RVP) for their place (Bayern came in with a massive bid for Falcao after a couple of seasons, bought Messi to replace him). If you want a support striker who can set up a ton of goals and score a few, Munir is a good shout, if you want someone who scores a ton of goals and sets up a few then Fierro is good for that. As a pair they're amazing.

Won Serie A with Fiorentina in my second season, but lost in the quarters of the CL to Spurs (3-0 up in first leg then somehow lost 6-0).

I sold Cuadrado for £59m to Barca, really didn't want to but I couldn't turn down that amount for a 28 year old. I want a strong powerful right winger who is an EU national, any suggestions? Tempted by Nani, who's unhappy at Chelsea in his first season there.

Edit: Game crashed and apparently I hadn't saved since Feb. Nice.

Ouch. No auto-save? I always have mine set to do it all the time with rolling backups just in case.

I'd disabled it when I did an unemployed save and holidayed two seasons and forgot to turn it back on :( Oh well, 10 games to go and I'm 13 points clear and on on a 7 match winning streak. Last time it went down to the last day, I won't make such a meal of it again this time. And I'll get revenge on Spurs hopefully.

Conceded a 93rd minute equaliser in my first game back, maybe I'm just damned to do it the hard way.

Jesus, how much did Messi set you back?

That game crash was a blessing in disguise, won the league again and beat Spurs and Real Madrid 3-2 on aggregate so now I face Leverkusen in the final. I'll be disappointed if I can't beat them having beaten Madrid over two legs.

And now Newcastle have beaten Sevilla to win the Europa League

This is ridiculous. I've won promotion and now become semi-pro, yet no-one wants to sign for me, literally no-one, even fewer players than when I was amateur ffs

I'm a higher division club and these amateur players won't even let me offer them a contract, they don't even want to know! I can't find anyone to sign, literally no-one that would even add depth to my squad. I'm fecked.

Won the Bundesliga in April with Huntelaar breaking Muller's goalscoring record in the same game. Perfect result.

Now for the expected complete downturn in performances.....

Got thumped in the first knockout round by Madrid in the CL and in the semi's of the German Cup. Bayern my opponents if I beat Stuttgart

Wow, I've been sacked on a football manager for the first time ever. I lost the dressing room at United after selling Nick fecking powell :wenger:

Decided in all the news about Starfish leaving without ever getting a title, that I needed to do my due diligence and start a Liverpool save. Get him to retire at the club with a few premier league trophies!

Shouldn't be hard with all the ridiculously overperforming players they have here. Plus I brought in Odegaard and Tielemans, should set me up in good stead for the future with Sterling, Coutinho, Suso et al.

I keep trying to get saves going outside England, but just can't get into them. Get bored too quickly..happened with Celtic, Ajax, TNS...so back to England I go.

In fm 2013 he did a similar game for me and got a 10-nil win over blackpool!

Anybody know how to fix these crash dumps? It's really taking the piss now, I think I'll post a thread on sig games as well but any help would be appreciated.

Finally decided to leave Ajax, after getting them ranked as the #2 team in the world, winning everything possible along the way. After getting all kinds of job-offers, I decided to join Inter for some reason. They finished 8th in the previous season, and their squad was terrible. Just beat Roma in the Europa League-final to get my first title with them, then I won the league on the very last day, getting 1 more point than Juventus. Now Roma awaits in the Italian Cup-final, to complete my season. Guess I'll find a new club next season, going to win a few different leagues before I settle down at some underdog to make them great.

Got one more game in the Bundesliga to go unbeaten in the league..... vs Bayern. And I play them again in the German Cup final a week later.

But Huntelaar is just fecking  . Shame he scored no goals in Europe when I needed it

ng8w08.png

Twats Bayern beat me in the last league game of the season. At least Huntelaar scored again....

Got offered the Real Madrid-job after winning the treble in my first season at Inter! I'm such a whore :D

Done something similar. Enrique was sacked at Barca despite finishing second and I jumped. I am of course going to raid Schalke for my players again.

But no need for my main man Huntelaar though as I'll have enough strikers which is a shame :(

Oh feck. I joined Barca and planned on raiding my old club. Only to be told I can't sign anyone till the embargo is lifted.

Bloody fuming, sods law I get knocked out by Schalke at some point in the CL

This was after I've spent 5 years at Ajax though, didnt really feel like staying at one club for long after that. I want to load all the English leagues though, and see if Salford City is ever promoted.. Hopefully I'll be able to get the job if it ever become available. I have to win the league in Spain, England, Germany and France first though :D
