I'm gutted. I just read about Solius getting a bigger budget from Arsenal after applying for another job and thought I'd try it myself, backfired majorly!

I never applied for another job.

Did it auto save, or why can't you just go back?

I intended it as a roaming save anyway, but I just didn't intend to leave Sporting so soon. Ah well, the show must go on.

Any good (cheap) strikers for the prmeiership on this game anyone has found?? I'm in Season 1 at Southampton got 4mil to spend in January. Doesn't have to be brilliant just for half a season and then as a squad player after that hopefully.

Van Kessel, Enes Unal.

Well since I again can't fecking sleep I decided to start a new save with United normal mode this time but with a restriction in terms of transfers. I can only bring in players that will be able to achieve the home grown player status (18 or younger) for my team and they need to be from an EU country.

Finally had a dip on this

My first Signing :

Malcom (looks very good)
John Stones
Dede
Eder Balantra
Coentrao (Surprisingly cheap at 7m)
Patrick Roberts

Games looks hard to dominate, but it'll hopefully fall to place soon, Chelsea is a damn tough machine to crack early on

Dynamo Kyiv for some reason always seem to be a weakness for me on FM. I can't beat them.

Van Kessel, Enes Unal.

Cheers mate will hav e a look at them! Got lucky and board gave me some more money so I had 12mil to spend. Bony wanted to leave Swansea so picked him up for 10mil. He can't play in FA Cup though but am not to bothered about that.

Currently 2nd in the league (miles behind Chelsea in 1st) so if get Champions League football I'll be happy with that in 1st season!

I don't know Van Kessel, but Enes Unal was not what you wanted, bags of potential, but definitely not Prem ready.

Yeah. I was desperate though, at 1 point I was looking at Heskey on a free:D

Got lucky with the board giving me more money and Bony going so cheap.

Got a decent strikeforce now, Bony will score goals, Long has had a good season, Rodriguez is fit again (who I forgot about!) and Pelle has spells where he's alright, also got Joel Campbell on loan but play him on the wing.

Hopefully get a bit of money if qualify for the CL, if not I can see 2nd season being a struggle. Bertrand will leave from the loan so will Campbell and Alderweireld, luckily Balatana finally came in Jan after I let him stay at River on loan for rest of Argentinian season!

Is there a clause to buy Alderweild?

I'm not to sure, I'll have to look later, I think there's 1 for either him or Bertrand can't remember which though. Hopefully there is! Have to check the budget etc first though. He was injured for a while and Gardos came in and did a good job with Fonte. I didn't concede in 6 games then got battered 4-0 at home by Chelsea so brought back Alderweild with Gardos and have Balanta playing left back cos Bertrand is injured which is working as well. The first 11 you start with at Southampton is probably good enough really for a Top 6 finish there's just hardly any depth which has made it the challenge.

What the feck... I've got my scouts digging through Europe to unearth the next big thing and I've found four or five 14-16 year olds that the scouts tell me will be anything from stars in the Premier League to world class players in their position, but when I make offers their clubs demand north of 25 million quid, even if they're no-mark German and Portuguese clubs. 25 million for a fecking schoolboy from some backyard club from the middle of nowhere! How is this realistic? Let me poach them for pocket money like I used to, damn it!

Balanta is a smashing LB, despite his crossing, often wanted to do a save converting him to full time, as proper top full backs are hens teeth.

Yeah I'm thinking of doing that myself as on every FM you rarely get good young full backs coming through (I had 1 amazing one on 14 though...think that's all I ever got!) where as you tend to get quite a few centre halves. Have to see what comes through the academies when that happens. He's done a decent enough job there so far though

I remember on 14, I signed this 14 year old LB with massive potential. Fired him in as my 2nd choice LB straight away(that hard up for fullbacks). By time he was 15 he was one of the best fullbacks in the league.

Hahah, I had one come through the youth ranks at Wimbledon and he stayed all the way til I got to the prem, then the minute I got to the Premiership he pissed off to Chelsea!! Probably best player I've had come through on an FM, I think he looked even better cos the rest of the team was pretty average.

Finally got around to posting some screens of my first season in the Eredivise with PSV.

First season transfers:

End of season table:

I won the league pretty comfortably as you can see but should have hit 85/90 points but the players just decided they were finished for the year once I'd actually cinched the title 6 games from the end of the season. After that followed 6 disappointing draws/losses. I didn't get far in the Europa as I pretty much threw the KO games before the groups so I could concentrate on the league in my first year. Lost in the final of the dutch cup to Ajax but had a number of first teasers missing but oh well...

PSV have to pretty decent loanee CB's from the off (Rekik & Isimat-Merin) so I decided the best thing to do at the end of the season would be to get two quality CB's in to replace them permanently.

Bringing in Stones and Balanta was a pretty good coup for PSV as well as keeping hold of Depay (Release clause now set at 40 Million). Very pleased with my dealings in this window. I lost Bakali on a FT and also Josefzoon so I needed a winger so opted for Carrasco. I've had him before with great success and the scouts loved him so I spent my last money on him.

This is my current first XI minus Locadia who is injured so Bonnazoli is filling in. Apart from that it's full strength.

A couple of games into the season right now, currently sitting top after 5 games (W4 L1) haven't had chance to get into my second year as I have been at work so I will play later on and hopefully make some progress in europe and claim my second title in as many years.

BTW just had my Champions League groups drawn...

It is so painful playing as some of these Italian teams, 30-40 players to get rid off. And as soon as the season is over dozens come back from loan

Is that normal that players ask for stupidly high wages ?

For example, i have Werner who is earning 24500€ and asks 1400000€ + a clause who raises is it to 190000€.

I manage Stuttgart and he is my main striker, he scored 23 goals and has 11 assists.

but it's the same with Daniel who is asking for 110000€ when he isn't my only capable winger, i have Yarmolenko and Krejci.

Edit: and he is the current Golden Boy.

Hmm, no wonder he wants big money, but he shouldn't want that kind of jump... Are you minted?

I could give him what he wants. :D

But if i do something like that, all the team will knock at my door.

Could be if his reputation as a player has eclipsed Stuttgart's reputation, which I'd imagine is the case with Werner as he's already regarded as a wonderkid so him being quality for you and winning awards will only enhance his status.

Got a problem with the default FMC skin? Can't click on different seasons on a player's career stats to see their history. Can anybody help?

I signed Draxler in the summer of 2020 and he is just  14 goals in 17 games.

You are maybe onto something, but we are the 19th european club and he has a continental reputation.

Someone must have showed him our accounting books.

Started an employed career where I go to clubs that are about to be relegated and try and save them. Failed in my first job, got Albacete off of rock bottom with 4 games left but lost to the team below on the last day and was relegated. I beat the team in second, as well as drawing with 6th and beating 14th but was still relegated and now they ask about my relegation and resignation at all interviews. Pah

Feck, was giving my skin a name, and I'm after fecking something. So close.....

The agents always know. Try sliding your budget more/mostly to transfer money, rather than wages before negotiating with him, often they ask for less.

Pellegrini has retired from football. Steve Bruce has been linked with the City job.

Thanks, i'm gonna try to do that.

Edit: It worked 58k
