Ronald does that too, but he usually gets back in time so I allow him.

Gutted for my young Di Stefano, Miguel González, didn't even make the Argentina bench for the World Cup.

Can't see it here, but González also got 12 assists.
EDIT: European Golden Shoe won, too.

Bought Messi and Ronaldo after 15/16 (120m after installments and bonuses for Messi, 90m after that stuff for Ronaldo) just to see how many goals I can get from them...
Both scored a hat trick on their debut in a 6-0 win

Erm, any known working torrents for this? So that I report it obviously

Oh man injured players still complaining about not getting enough first team football. You would think that this bug would vanish some day from the FM series but no it's still there. Kagawa injured at the start of the season. Get's two games and two sub cameos and is injured again for 3 weeks. Now he complains because he didn't get enough football in his opinion. Amazing.

Yeah it's irritating, but if you promise to give them games and they're constantly injured, they automatically extend the time period when they reach the end. I had that for an entire season with RVP :(

Just bought this. Had '14 but hardly got to play it because my laptop was terrible, but I have a capable laptop now. Can't wait to give it a go. I'll probably start with United, not sure if I want to use the diamond or get wingers. I'm terrible at FM, always have been. One or two times I've had teams where it clicked and I did well but its rare. I generally do slightly worse than the team I'm managing would do in real life. Don't know if I don't go into enough detail or what.

Playing with United, have genuinely had about thirty injuries and it's only September. Mata and Januzaj have fallen out. It's insane, we're top of the league and the shower of prima donna's aren't happy. Now I remember why I prefer managing smaller teams.

Am i wrong in thinking that the game is easier this year ?

Definitely, I've found possession football coupled with high morale creates near unbeatable sides.

I have seen people complain, because they were thrashed by weak teams but i don't understand, like you said high moral, possession football, and everything goes perfectly.

Hmm, I fear this season will be less than difficult.

This is the 2nd game, the first I won 5-0.
González already has 7 goals, 10 including the supercup.
A, Popov is from my last intake 15 year old CB, 2 games, 2 goals. Potential to be world class.

How is it possible to concede from every corner?

Edit: Got it, the standard settings were just BS.

Has anybody got a good tactic for defending corners? I'm using NiMic's (?) one for attacking where the box is left empty for the short option, but I could do with one to help as I seem to concede most of my goals from set pieces.

"Moyes famously suffered the ignominy of being knocked out"

Sir Alex must have decked him for last season.

:smirk:

Poor Davie's reputation has plummeted to National now. Steve Round is still at West Ham.

Everton have always been a strange team on FM. I've seen people win the title without really changing much (someone in this thread did IIRC) or at least get into CL. Yet when they're left to AI they are really bad. Martinez gets sacked every save I've had on FM 14 and this save on 15.

I played a save on 14, can't remember if it was Swansea, or Southampton, but Everton smashed the league first season, but dropped to around 15th in the 2nd, without the Lukaku and Deulofeu loans(presumably).

I've seen Cardiff make CL football in the first season too... Mad.

Me, 2 titles in 1st 2 season.

End of my Ronaldo+Messi season, won everything of course. Ronaldo had 77 goals and 28 assists in 57 appearances (8.42 average), Messi on the other hand only had 54 goals and 45 assists in 58 appearances (8.25 average). Pfft, Messi.

What did your lineup look like?
Ronaldo as raumdeuter on the left, messi as a trequartista, Reus inside forward on the right, di maria and herrera in front of Blind in midfield, then defence was Shaw, Balanta, Jones, Rafael. Also had barbosa, wilson, mata, rooney, januzaj, pereira on the bench (did a bit of editing of the database as a few like di Maria, Herrera and blind were woefully underrated. Pushed them to 185 PA for di Maria, 170 PA for Herrera and 164 PA for blind as they were all a bit useless before. That's about it though really. It was mostly just ronaldo and messi scoring crazy amounts every game.

Has this game since release date and had barely played it until last night. 1-1 vs Arsenal in first game and won 5-2 vs QPR in first home game, not a bad start.

Is anyone else conceding a lot of goals from indirect free kicks? Seems like at least 50% of the goals I concede is from indirect free kicks where one opponent breaks away freely and scores while the rest of the players stand in a line and watch. The other half seems to be from long distance shots that fly right through my GK.

How did you even manage to get Ronaldo and Messi to talk to you?
I'd have assumed that they'd just reject United. Or any team, bar maybe Bayern, for that matter.

Surprised you managed to get them. Or is this a few years down the line?

2016/17, saw messi was on a scour report and saw I could get him for like 120m so I did! Similar case with Ronaldo, and I had like a 150m transfer budget but then sold Reus, Falcao and others to get it to like 250m.their wages. Were the harder thing, I pay a lot in bonuses and other fees as I couldn't go up to 500k for both

Did you have 2 Reus'?

Did you have 2 Reus'?
Oops. First one wasn't Reus,it was like who I bought in the first season.... Feck knows why I wrote Reus.
Got confused I guess as I kept my older save pre Ronaldo and Messi as I want to have it as a long term one and this was just "to see"

Why don't you move clubs?

I won the Portugese league with Sporting, was offered the Southampton job and accepted the contract, thinking I could then hold the board to ransom for more money but I forgot that I have to accept the job if I accept the contract. I don't think I've ever left a club for another hence why I didn't realise the job was automatically accepted :(

People saying that this game is easy is really depressing me .

I'm 22 games into the league with United. I'm 4th, 1 point ahead of Liverpool. I use a narrow diamond, short passing, high tempo, high line, work ball into box, retain possession, and I have individual instructions for each player. I also train them to improve on specific attributes based on what staff recommend.

Fourth place is actually the highest position I've been in the league all season. Only about 6-7 games ago everything was in disarray and I was in 10th. Rooney asked me to sell him to Chelsea but calmed down when I told him we were going to win the league (I'm lucky he's retarded) and van Persie asked me why I didn't fine Rooney for being disruptive. Falcao hasn't been great, told him he needed a rest and he wasn't having any of it. The team called two meetings with me, one about poor performances and one about how I was treating Jonny Evans (promised I'd play him more often and I actually did, obviously not often enough). I can't believe I didn't get sacked, but I managed to turn it around anyway.

I don't ignore tactics or training. I usually get good reactions from team talks, I always pick a well capable team and I'm consistent with my tactics. I suppose being 4th is acceptable but I don't know why I've been so ropey for the majority of the season.

In terms of injuries, I've hardly had Di Maria available to me all season which is annoying. At one stage Wilson was my only fit striker. Shaw, Jones, Rafael and Blind have also been injured for more games than they've been fit for.

I need to kick on somehow. I don't want to change tactics, I'm sure that'll just result in a bad run. Don't know what I'm actually doing wrong.
