So you know how I was complaining about international duty when I was at Tuks?

I took a new job at Ulsan in South Korea. This is my FA Cup tie, and they rejected my request for a postponement.

Going to be wanting to play with updated squads after the transfer window shuts (not straight away, obviously it takes people time to update these things), but is there any names I should look out for that are known to be quite good with it? The only one I know is LFCMarshall, and don't really want to play with his if he's going to bollocks up our attributes.

After today, my way of FM has finally become realistic.

Also @Minkaro, try fmbase or passion4fm. I'm sure a couple more people do them, but no idea how frequently they update. Though I used LFCMarshalls, then spent 5 minutes in the editor and corrected what he did to United. It's a lot easier than it sounds

It's just done this again to me, this time for the Asian Champion's League final...

Also the final should have been a two legged affair but instead the game gave me a single legged game away in Saudi Arabia.

Is there any way to start a FMC game with an updated squad without using the editor? Ie. using a LFCMarshall pack or the like.

Well that's bollocks.

What's an interesting league to manage in? Does the MLS have a draft system in real life or did I dream it, and more importantly I guess does it have it in FM? That would be immense.

Bleedin' Celtic. They just don't lose. My Hibernian Galacticos built up a good spell of momentum, playing the slowest possession football imaginable. I was top of the league for all of March, and then didn't win a single game in April.

I also scored AND conceded the most goals in the league. Bananas.

I got to the Scottish Cup Final against Celtic. For some reason it didn't happen until 3rd June, so Darren Fletcher and Victor Valdes retired 2 days before the game! I had to play Marshall in goal, who had only played 3 games all season.

2-2 at full time. I had made all 3 subs, and then Aguero got injured right at the start of Extra Time. Half an hour with 10 men, parking the bus. The back 9 held strong. I then had a header from a corner disallowed in the last minute of extra time. Lost 4-1 on penalties.

Pointless potless season. Got offered interviews from Barca and Ajax. I considered going to Barca and going against everything they stand for, making them a direct, straight-lined 4-4-2 team. Ajax have turned into a midtable side. They've not won the league in 4 years, and their squad is a disaster. A fair bit of money to spend to fix it though, so I took that.

The best player in the squad is 34 year old Urby Emanuelson. There's only 3 Dutch players in the squad, and only 2 players younger than 27.

I've made a huge mistake.

Took the Hibs job, with the full intention of continuing the new Hibernian Washed-Up Galactico regime.

This is the squad. It might look impressive, but in 2020, the majority of the names you'll know are utter shit.

I count two reasonable footballers in that lot. Gauld and McCarthy. Mclusky seems to be a fairly handy regen, though doesn't really excel at anything, but you need a Tom Cleverley in your team, right?

Schweinsteiger and Lahm both have pace and acceleration of 7, as does Darren Fletcher. Fletch also has a 2 for dribbling and a 5 for strength. A fair gust of wind could knock the three of them over.

Cristiano Ronaldo is still fairly mobile in comparison. About as mobile as a 30 year old Michael Owen. An enormous 11 for pace and 10 for acceleration, which will probably make him the fastest player in the SPL. His finishing, strength, heading and dribbling have all plummeted though. Y'know, everything that made him good.

Victor Valdes has already announced he is retiring next summer. He is soon to be 39, and my assistant manager (Roy Keane!) keeps telling me he is no longer good enough to play for the club. Mouth shut, Roy. Victor's the #1

Aguero, only 33, has been obliterated by injury, and he gets injured as soon as he is fit again. In the last 3 seasons, he has played 11 games of football. 11! City released him on a free. He was then one of the first in through the door under the new Hibernian regime.

Iniesta came from Palermo for £400k, who got him for nothing from Barca the year before. A good earner for them. He is decrepit, but he can still pick a pass that splits through a 10 man parked bus, so long as he doesn't have to run for the ball.

They also Pato from Burnley (who are in League 1) for £600k. Only 29 somehow, but he's probably been destroyed by all that cocaine from his Milan days. Utterly useless footballer, but he fits the philosophy down to the ground.

And Sergio Ramos for nothing. Similar to Aguero, his knees are made of dog biscuits. Forever injured. Not really good at anything, and an absolute cnut. Born to play for Hibs.

I took the job late, so I missed pre-season. First game of the SPL, away to St Mirren.

3-0 defeat, Ramos and Valdes both sent off in the first half an hour
A bit late, but

Which transfer updates to you guys use? I've been using the one from FMSteve85, from fmscout.com, and am currently waiting for his update from deadline day.

Is there a better option out there?

Despite winning Serie A 8 years in a row, after having a team meeting before the game where I can win the league and telling them to complete what was expected of them the team have had a revolt and said that I'm wrong in saying we were expecting to win the title this season..

Did you sell all your key players again?

Not sure if there's a joke there (sorry if there is) or if you're confusing mewith somebody else, but I haven't sold any key players other than Alvarez Balanta.

In fact, a lot of my squad have been at the club for 6+ years; Depay, Vallejo, Alex Telles, 2 regens, Ocampos so they've genuinely won 6 titles in a row and have a problem with me expecting a 7th despite Inter having been relegated, Juve finishing 15th and Milan failing FFP.

Looks for a save, want to do something a bit different.
La Hoya? The only non-professional team in Spain in FM14, not sure if it's the same for FM15.

I got them to 5th in Liga Adelante which was a challenge, but great fun.

My current game is probably the most fun I've ever had on FM. I started unemployed with a Sunday league reputation and my loose overarching aim is to win the Champion's League on each continent.

I started off at Uniao Madeira in the Portuguese Second division and left after getting them promoted. Then took a job in the South African second division with Vasco Cape Town, was there for about 3-4 seasons, got them promoted and left after keeping them up. Then went to Tuks (University of Pretoria's side) and turned them into the biggest force in African football. I won my first Champion's League at the first attempt (annoyingly beating divisional rivals Kaizer Chiefs in the final). Figuring the quickest way to improve my reputation was to win some more pots I left after retaining the Champion's League, my last game was getting humped by PSG in the Club World Cup.

Im now in South Korea attempting to add the ACL to my collection, at some point I'll have to go to United and sort out the mess Paolo Di Canio is making there but I think I'm off to the America's next.

My laptop was knackered for the last few months and I just got around to getting a new one today. Going to start a FM save game as the new one won't be out until November. Anyone know if there has been an update from the transfer window? Cheers.

I use that one, it's pretty good, the update from 'LFCMarshall' is bigger, but he hasn't released a new update yet, I don't want to wait.

:D I can understand. I haven't played in a couple of days just because of the transfer window update.
My mate and I started a new game yesterday with the Steve-update, I play Wolfsburg, he plays Leverkusen, we can only sign german players and there are no transfers in or out allowed for the first 3 transfer windows (because ingame then it's the 2016 january transfer window). Should be fun. We chose the teams a few weeks ago, so he first laughed at me for losing De Bruyne and now I laugh at him, because I got Draxler. First thing the idiot did was dropping Chicharito for Kießling. :wenger:

That's because of the update? Why play with this update then?

How many leagues did you have loaded and how good is your laptop? Pretty good I'd imagine.

I've got a Macbook Air so its not outrageously specced but it's decent. 2.2 Ghz i7, 8gb ram, SSD hard drive. The hard drive makes the biggest difference I think on FM.

And Spain and USA off the bottom.

The beauty of doing this on FM now compared to before is that you can add/remove leagues so I'm hoping that by the time the game starts to noticeably slow down (happens to me around 15-20 years in when I've done journeyman games before on a worse laptop) I can offset it by removing leagues I don't need now my reps higher and make the DB smaller.

How small is the update you posted btw? Not all the major leagues updated?
Haven't found a transfer that isn't done so far, he doesn't mention any limitiations over specific nations or leagues on the side. Just says 'With 81,077 changes as of 2nd September 2015 that Football Manager 2015 15.3 doesn't include.'.
