Gaming Football Manager 2015

Is there any way to create a loop for scout assignments? I have each one on the duty to scout 3-5 countries and it is really tedious to restart them all the time.

Just set it to 'Ongoing' rather than 'Until Finished' or a specific length of time

It's annoying how when you get 8-10 years into a save it becomes very hard to sign players who are at smaller clubs like Athletic. I guess all the teams become pretty rich so decide they don't need money. Talking about FM14

Of course he does :D

...Holy shit. Full reconstruction of the squad. How is Grealish looking?

Practically rebuilt the academy too.

Grealish is good, if not mindblowing, but he's worth the money as he's a natural on either wing, and the best Irish player, and I had to have an Irishman.
Not mindblowing on paper, but very much so on pitch, has been scoring and assisting for fun, and now my staff rank him along with Januzaj as the best player at the club. Which is odd, as his attributes are dwarfed by Januzaj.

Fair play. Started a United save and Januzaj is doing good when he plays (contending with an outstanding Depay-Mata-Pedro trio), but Madrid want him and he wants Madrid. Can't for the life of me convince him to stay :/

Don't sell, and eventually they will give up and he will want to stay.

Resigned a 37 year old Ronaldo :D Only got him on a one year deal though but I would keep him forever if possible

cheers. You are my hero.

Eventually you can help me out with another thing, that I am not fully understanding. I knowthat the u18 and senior/u21 training is separated so you have to have coaches for both. Still when I look at my u18 "coaching-screen", where I can assign the coaches to the different categories, I see various coaches from my senior staff. The goalkeeping coaches, the fitness coaches, the u21 manager/coaches and myself. Why is that? Can those coaches train both - adults and youth?

I don't see why not. I tend to have my u21 coaches supplement the first team coaching so I don't see why you can't do the reverse. Just be careful of the workload on your coaches.

Just walked the league with United with Memphis breaking the United league goal scoring record with 33 and 45 overall.
But i get to the fa cup final to see ALL of my starting team away on international duty wtf? Haha my reserves/ a few u18s got belted 4-0 by Spurs

Won the league with Wolfsburg by 1 point. Lost in the semis of the CL to Barca, despite winning the first leg at the Camp Nou 1-0. Also took the German Cup.

Now I did spend a truck load of money, but I also sold Schurlle for £54m. Basically even though I won the league, I can't play in Europe due to FFP. Feck man, this ever happened to any of you?

Failed FFP for the Europa League too (maybe the same criteria?) and now De Bruyne and Darmian want to leave to play in the CL.

With a fair bit of persistence, I've managed to train Fosu-Mensah to be an accomplished Libero. I'm going to ditch my go-to chaotic 4-4-2 for even more chaotic Marcelo Bielsa styled 3-3-3-1.

Possession is boring. Suicidal pressing until everyones knees cave in is better.

Liverpool just won the fecking league on the last day in my new save. Meanwhile, I'm sat in bloody Gibraltar watching my two best players leave because they don't think the squad is good enough to match their ambitions. Given that we just did the domestic double despite being expected to finish mid-table, I'm not entirely sure what their ambitions are.

The Libero doesn't work right in FM15 at all, sadly. :(

I've been playing a ridiculously attacking 3-2-1-4 formation with Chivas, great fun. 3 CBs, 2 DMs, 1 CM, 4 AMs - no strikers at all.

Oh piss. Well that was a waste of time

I'm going to try it anyway  Some folk on FM forums have had mixed success in using a Libero. I don't care about winning trophies. I'm just going to get it to work!

Gotta love a strikerless formation. Haven't done one for ages. Had a pretty standard 4-6-0 at Bilbao on FM14. Back 4, 1 DM, 2 CM and 3 AM. It always sent my assistant manager into fits of madness. "Their defenders are outnumbering our forwards!!" every couple of minutes, even in the 90th minute when I'd be winning 4-0.

Don't get me wrong, it's a usable role, but more like Carrick as the middle CB when we played 3-5-2, rather than the dynamic monster you'd expect.

I was probably one of the ones you saw on the FM forum mentioning mixed success, certain I posted in some threads about it.

 Yeah, my assistant clearly thinks I'm an idiot. :D

So it's the last day of the league season. The title is already wrapped up with United, and our last game is away to 18th place Bournemouth (who I would like to see stay up). I notice that if they beat us, they go level on points with WBA and could stay up as a result - problem is, they have -43 GD to WBA's -24.

So I did the obvious thing and lined up like this:

We lost (surprisingly).

And as a result, Bournemouth stayed up with a -5 goal difference :)

Funnily enough, the fans confidence for the match was still 50% :wenger:

How?! I get 30% sometimes for winning 5-0! Guess it's because those are cup games where I play the kids, whereas the last game of the season doesn't matter...

Yeah, you're right. The actual quote:

"After winning the title, Man Utd's heavy 43-0 defeat to Bournemouth was not chief amongst the fans' priorities and there was still a considerable buzz around the fanbase which is expected to last for some time to come".

Haha awesome. I doubt a result of that magnitude, especially to relegation candidates, would be shrugged off that easily. Meltdowns everywhere! :D

H-uh.... just came up against Stoke in the FA Cup, they're a Championship side, featuring Wilshere in his prime, Carlos Vela, and Lazar Markovic.

They've become a yo-yo club, but this year only look like making the playoffs.

Just been reading through some of my old posts/saves in this thread.
Definitely feel like I could play this again. But I'll wait for the new one in a few months.

Might try and do that TNS/Welsh league save again. But use some of the things I learnt during my Tottenham 'Director of football save'.
Basically - higher sign on fees, much lower wages (with yearly wage increase). Get a few years service, sell for profit.

Yeah, that seems about right so far. Doesn't seem to be a noticeable difference between a normal Sweeper and a Libero. The defence is damn solid and I've only conceded 2 goals in 8 games with it as a newly promoted side in the Bundesliga, but it's much more reserved than I expected. Is to too much to ask for him to be making last ditch interceptions, as well as scoring winning goals? :wenger:

Fosu-Mensah has developed into a really well-rounded footballer, so I thought a monstrous Libero would get the best out of him, and I thought it'd be fun, as I'd never used a Libero before.

Perhaps I'll just keep him as centre back who is encouraged to run with the ball and also step out and press like a lunatic.

I just found out, that they don´t cycle through the different assignments, if you put them on "ongoing". They just stick with the one country forever. Thats really a bummer.

@Earthquake do you have any solution for the scout assignments, so I don´t have to restart them manually all the time?

How are his playmaking skills? Perhaps at DM as a Regista or Roaming Playmaker?

EDIT: Or as a BWM(s), if you can set another mid to hold the fort, a good BWM can smash all round and get goals too, love Wanyama for it.

Sorry mate, it's been a really long time since I've played full FM rather than Classic, IIRC I just used to have a separate scout for each assignment, as having them flick from country to country got too expensive.

In the end I stopped setting them up myself and left it to the head scout, which probably isn't wise.

Ah, I thought you wanted the same scout to do the same area over and over again. I think you can queue assignments, so if you set a specific scout to go and scout, say England, you can set it for him to do it for a year, then give him a new assignment that sends him to Spain for a year, and he shouldn't go to Spain until he's finished his year in England, I don't think. Then all you have to do is add it a load of times to fill however long you want. Hopefully that works.

I really appreciate your help. What I am trying to do is to maximize my scouting knowledge (at least to a reasonable degree). So I picked for each scout ~3-5 countries (depending on his pre-existing knowledge) and cycle through them. They always go to the same few countries one after the other. When the knowledge-bar is high, they only need very short time to finish the assignment and this way it is possible to maintain 3+ countries at 100% knowledge for each scout. For 24 scouts means, that you can easily have 70-90 countries at around 100%, which makes it possible to have full scouting knowledge in all important countries. It works really well, but it is a nightmare to manage, because almost every day some assignments finish. It takes only few kicks to restart them, but it is extremely tedious over the course of a whole season. It is okay to do that with 10-12 scouts, but everything above is killing the joy of the game; at least for me. I guess the programmers simply forgot to implement a box/button, that would say "loop assignments".
