Decided to purchase it. Are transfers like Lewandowski to Bayern already set in the game or will I have to go in and edit it?

IIRC they're just set to leave on a Bosman, him, Vidic, Valdes and Ter Stegen(although he has a two year wait to be a free agent) notably.
EDIT: Lewandowski is set for Bayern, and Ter Stegen isn't already on a Bosman, though he usually is after the first season.

Just downloaded it. Tried non-league, found it too difficult so just gonna start off easily with United instead.

Yeah I have had similar before. A few bad results in a row can quickly drop morale, especially if the team are not mentally good. Once u get through that patch and start chaining some results together you should be OK again.
Second season with Elfsborg and I won the league on the final day away to Kalmar FF. Arca with a goal in his last game before retiring.

Anders Svensson is a beast! 38 years old and still a creative force. Granted, it's only in Sweden, but still... Gonna have a huge problem trying to replace him beyond the current season.
Qualified for the Royal League (was actually a thing, found an EDT file on a Noggie FM site that brought it back and expanded it to include the Faroes, Finland and Iceland). First game is against HB of the Faroes, which I won with ease at 9-1

Seems quite odd that, I never played that many games. We started playing friendlies at the end of February time.
I think it's cos I got into the Royal League which is traditionally end of season for Swedish teams (it's not for Danes)

From what I can see you have 21 days from when the season finished to when you play your first friendly. You can also factor european football which will make it tougher.

Have any of you noticed that when changing tactics mid way in a game, it will reset the closing down / tight marking instructions of the opposition?

Need to pick up a CB, in January, European too, or else it'd be easy. I can get Dragovic(he's perfect, young, great BPD and Austrian), for 8-9m, but that's like double my record fee, and he's cup tied in Europe.
Unless I get rid of another FGN player. Porto are making eyes at Sadio Mané, and that'd be 2 birds 1 stone, as he's one of the worst for team talk reactions. Porto are tight bastards though, and I dunno where I'll find an equal Inside Forward cheap. I could get Rotariu, he's a bit different though, slower.

I had an indifferent start to the season as Roma manager wining 2, drawing 2 and losing 1 and noticed my job status had slipped to insecure and fielded questions about next game being a must win.
So I went to the board and demanded a new contract, got given it and I'm back up to secure. I feel like I've just played the power play of all time.

I found a couple of old screenshots from FM11/12. Playing as Bilbao was easily the most enjoyable save I've ever had. I managed 3 league titles, 5 copa del rays, 2 europa leagues and 2 champions leagues in 15 years.
How do I search for players with release clauses? Just lost Balotelli on a Bosman to PSG and I need to replace him with a quality striker as my only other option is a 21 year old French hot prospect.
No way to search for them, which is a bit of a shame.

Not played many more games, as my struggles were close to the January holiday(handy to have little to no games during the transfer window), but I'm just back on top of the league.
January was good to me, very good. Mané is gone, 10m, I know I could have got 15-20m for him later on, but he was a major hassle, one of the ones that doubted my credibility most often. Clubs finances have been vastly increased(time to ask for upgrades), and I have more money to play with than I started the season with, despite being IMHO, vastly improved.
Starting 11 is looking quite tasty(my alt formations are a diamond and 4-1-4-1).
Next season, I will need a CB as I didn't land one this window, and probably a striker to replace Simeone(Vydra should be on a free).

I went through before the game and updated a few of the squads of the big European teams. I moved the players who look like leaving their current clubs (ie. Costa to Chelsea, Shaw to United and transfers like that). For Liverpool I added Lovren, Moreno, Can, Lallana and Lambert.

Should have taken Balanta straight away, likely by the end of a first season in the PL, he'd be a top player already. He could drop straight into any team anyway.
If you haven't picked him up yet, nab Carra as your U18 manager, or any kind of coach, excellent, excellent backroom staff member, coaching or managing.

I've kept Pascoe as my assistant as I plan on bringing Gerrard in after a couple more seasons.
He's already available for coaching. I don't think punditry roles affect availability for staff roles.

Extremely useful. Andre Hahn at Augsburg has a £2.7m release clause and is worth ~£7m almost immediately, a definite signing for any mid table team.
Ron-Robert Zieler has a £5.5m release clause too.
It seems like the only decent players I can sign on frees or 6 month pre-contracts are attackinmg midfielders.
That's Marcos Lopes, Guido Vadala, Vajebah Sakor and now Sebastien Druissi all on frees. All worth over £3m each so it's very good business for a financially insecure team like Zaragoza.

From experience, Driussi is very good, a little injury prone for me but very good on his day.
He looks very good, I was surprised he was released from Porto on a free. I play a 4-1-1-3-1 system, sometimes bringing the DM up to CM if I feel I can dominate, so he'll be very useful in the three central AM spots.
Ugh, it's so annoying seeing these new wonderkids that I'd had my eye on, but couldn't afford at the time, go on to be fantastic. Porto just bought a 19 year old CB for £15.5m that I had a £1.4m deal agreed for, but couldn't get the funds.

Won the league, and the cup, met expectations in the Europa, job is "stable" and my contract is nearly up, without the board showing any inclination of offering me an extension.
Also, looks like a takeover could happen in the coming weeks, meaning I'll miss most of the summer transfer window, if I'm even still at the club. I have a lot of moves already in place though, youth and such.
