Gaming Football Manager 2014

I'm in my fourth season in my Zaragoza save having been promoted twice and relegated in my first season in the top flight.

The club have no money, and it's a cycle between picking up players on frees, usually 6 months before their current one ends, and selling players to keep the club stable.

I've got a regen in my first youth intake who Barca have just bid £5m for, but given that there's such a low transfer revenue that it's not worth selling him. Managed to sign both Marcos Lopes and Guido Vadala on frees, so I'm hoping that they'll bring a lot of money in the future. Currently 14th in mid January 2017.

3 games left and been smashing the goals in. Also in the Copa Del Ray Final (Barca) and Champions League Final (Spurs). Could win the treble in my first season at Madrid.

Fecking Chelsea man.. I've reached the point where I simply dont bother to play them and rather holiday the game so I dont have to throw a fit every time I play them..

Even if it doesn't go to spending on new players, isn't it good that it's going to the club? Improve their finances, and you'll get larger and larger cuts of the transfer money.

I wouldnt. Too early imo. 3 seasons is nothing, you'l get them on the top in 2 years max and it'l again get boring.
Yeah thats what I thought. So I rejected United in Jan and went to have an interesting season with So'ton. So I was in the CC final and lost to City. Next in UCL I progressed from the group stages and beat Leverkusen in the knockout stages and then went to beat Dortmund 6-0 on aggregate (No idea how this happened) and lost to Madrid 4-3 on aggregate in the semis. Then came the FA Cup final and I lost 1-0 to United. Finally its the last day of the season and Im up by 1 point going into the last game and City are trailing me. I fecking end up losing on the last day and City won and they won the fecking title. feck OFF!

I managed to beat them in the Champions League Semi. On pens though. Beat them 3 - 1 at home and they did the same to me at SB the bastards.

Just lost the Copa del Ray 3 - 2 :(

Champions League Final now.

Wow, that's quite a shit end to the season.

The elections are coming up at Real Madrid and the favourite to win wants to bring in De Boer as manager :nervous:

Great end to the season. :D

Balotelli scored 16 goals in the Champions League. 2 in the final, 5 in the semifinal, 1 in the quarterfinal, 4 in the round-of-sixteen. But he got injured in the final and will now miss the European Championships. These are his overall statistics for the season:

My star primavera player scored 74 goals with 17 assists in 49 matches this season. At 17-years old too. I will be loaning him out next season, he has no space in my first team unfortunately.

I will be coaching Italy U23 at the 2016 Olympics, and then I will leave that position and wait for Brasil or Italy to call.

I'm pretty pleased - this Espanyol save is the first time I've ever got a 4-4-2 working perfectly. I never usually try it because I feel it can leak goals, but I've won 50 of 54 games, drawing 2 and losing 1. Including beating Real Madrid 9-2

Ah, good stuff. The champions of the previous season is incapable of beating the likes of Reading, Stoke, Norwich, West Brom and Southampton at Old Trafford and I'm now in 13th 10 games into the season. Qualified from my CL-group after 4 games with 18 goals scored and 4 conceded yet it seems like this bunch of morons is fecking up my job, and I'm not on the verge of being fired..

I need to take a short break to let all the anger produced from my last game subside

No other game makes me this furious!

Great end to the season. :D

What formation are you using?

Moyes is that you?

Just the £252m budget this season then

Trying to buy Lukaku and the scouting report says anywhere between 42 and 62m he'll be available for but I've gone as high as 62 and still rejected. Any ideas of what to do? I want Hazard too and I've just been constantly bidding the same amount to unsettle him.

There are better strikers than Lukaku cheaper, but I guess that's not the point of managing Real Madrid. :D

I'm finding it hard to adjust to this.

I'm still buying players for like 5-6 million and then being baffled that some of them aint good enough

Ten years at a pretty smallish club will to that to ya!

They're just saying that, you will find out about your sacking from the papers. Classless club

United are doing horrendously in my save though. They managed to stay out of Europe (it reminds me of something...), Mata and Rooney were unhappy with that and were transfer-listed (nobody bought them but Barcelona was seriously considering buying Juan). At the end they sold their best player De Gea (coincidence again?) to Barca for 31 million which is a steal. I'm furious here, really, it hurts too much even though it's just a game save

Well I've just gone for the big strong striker approach. Already have Bony who got me 35 goals this season just gone.

Gung-ho european football this season, found a great player from Udinese, Emanuele Rovini, who's set pieces are helping me massively. Shame that I can't afford him and he's only here on a loan

Bony is ridiculous in this, another of my surprisingly good Trequartistas.

My youth striker, who Liverpool were chasing, been giving him sub apps, and he was growing beautifully. Still in January, have him 20 minutes against Brighton, 94 minutes in(3-1, we'd easily won), a late tackle, lad literally slammed into him on kick off after their consolation goal. Cruciates done, 7-8 months, just turned 19, and he was a pace striker. Probably won't recover.

Fuck.

Mine sacke Moyes a season after this one, he actually did VERY well in his first season, I think he won the CL. They replaced him with Montella who for the first time ever in a save has not used three at the back. Montella is a miracle worker, one minute he's 6th or 7th and then he's won the league in the last game of the season! I was sure Chelsea was gonna win. They might this season. I need a good cup run to add a trophy. Its the first time I've had a trophyless season in my debut season.

Just sold a 26yo Rafinha for 45m to Chelsea. Going to try and get in PSG's 22yo CM who's almost as good and has potential to be amazing. Should cost roughly the same I sold Rafinha for.

Turns out my new centreback is actually a defensive midfielder  but he's so good there despite being a 3 for it, that I might as well play him there. I have Wanyama, Cork, and a youngster who has the potential to be much better than him. Then there are players who are natural central midfielders who can do a job there just as good.

Ah, Lauren Blanc was spottet in the stands of Old Trafford merely one game after the board said they had complete faith in me.. The kiss of death approaches as I face Arsenal, Liverpool, and City all away in the next three games..

He could be.. uh.. scouting players or... something.
you're fecked

Hah, joke's on him. I turned it around, and all that fecker is getting from Old Trafford is a good show, as I'm on a 8 game unbeaten run and find myself safely in 5th, 1 point away from 2nd place. I'm 18 points off Chelsea at the top though..

Again; hah! I was 2-1 down against Charlton at home (I know, I know..) when Mata suddenly realised he was so much better than the opposition and scored a hat trick in the space of 8 minutes to give me a 4-2 win.. This game is bonkers.

After 8/9 years at Paris FC I decided after winning the CL and all the french titles available it was time to move on. The first job offer I got was with Roma, who were Rich and had great facilities. My replacement there was Pep! so will be interesting to see how he does.

I was surprised to find out that in Italy you can have 12 players on the bench and available in a match - that's quite good. Only problem being is they had a lot of deadweight in the club, so it's taken a while to suss out who's worth keeping or not.

We went on a decent run in the league and was top around march, but suddenly hit a brick wall in form and started dropping points, and eventually dropped to fifth. I was 1 game away from the sack after having a board meeting, but I changed formation slightly and we started to win again, going on a fantastic run all the way to the end of the season, and narrowly coming 2nd to Inter by 2 points!

Now that my job is safe once more, I'm gonna attend one of Laurent Blancs games just so he knows how it feels. That idiot.

So I'm in almost 2 seasons into the obligatory United save but I need to broaden my horizons and get a league two game going.

Any recommendations as I haven't actually done a league two save on 14. Haven't played the game a great deal to be honest.

Ashley Young has just pulled a complete Winston Bogarde. He refused to sign for Spurs, Southampton, Everton and even PSV because he wouldn't accept a wage cut and has been released on a free in July and hasn't found a club come mid February.

So I picked up an obscure Noggie team in the Second Division (3rd tier). Nest Sotra Fotball. Got promoted top of the group at first time of asking. Started brilliantly in the Adeccoligaen (was something like 1st after 10 games). Fell away badly after that and could hardly buy a win. Still finished 11th though when I was predicted to come last :D

Just gotten around to the 2015 season and the journo's reckon I'll do one better than what they thought I'd do last season. Just had to sell my best defender to Stabaek for peanuts (as the club is almost broke as the chairman expands and puts undersoil heating in).

Does anyone know when Semi-pro clubs go professional? Is there a threshold with your balance that you have to pass?

May be wrong but I'm sure you can request it from the board

Oh right. It's greyed out at the moment.

Might hold off anyway until I pay my debts back. 1.2mn in debt, club is valued at 625k!

Ultimate aim is to turn the club into a conveyor belt of top Noggie talent and win everything I can get my hands on

Sounds good, that was pretty much my aim when I managed in Sweden but I only stayed 9.5 years so didn't fully complete my goals. Madrid came calling.
