Gaming Football Manager 2014

Well I'm staying put for now. Managed to use the interest in me as leverage to increase the junior coaching to exceptional. All facilities/coaching are maxed out except recruitment, arguably the most important one.

Does warning players have any effect at all? Rafael got sent off 3 games in a row and I finally fined him 1 week worth of salary and he threw a fit..

Watford just paid me 3.5m for this lad, in the last year of his contract, valued at 130k. Peaked in ability too.

Signed this guy for £5 Million after selling one of my youth prospects for 3.4 Mil who I didn't think was good enough.

This guy will be...

The only thing is that he's 18 in May and i sign him in August. Meaning he doesn't have enough time to become home-grown.

Also got Dortmund and Barca sniffing around my 18 y/o Argie CAM. Bids have gone up to 3 Million as it stands.

Signed a 4* PA CB for 500k. Have a 3.5* PA CB in my team, teams clambouring over themselves to bid 2 million for him. Nice bit of business :D

So this season nobody wants to join me on loan. The listed for loan option is empty, bar one player...

Januzaj just joined Madrid for 25m. I wonder if they'll sniff around him a few years down the line in real life.

He's still at United in 2019, Wayne Rooney wants to leave, but he's old, and isn't even as good as my best striker. Sergio Busquets has been listed and if I had the money for the january window, I'd pay the 4.8 mil for him.

He's peaked at 22! Wow.
He didn't have much heights to hit,

Plus some heavy tutoring with a former goalkeeper helped a lot. Quickly pumped up his Determination(dunno does this take ability points or not), and became starting keeper at 20.

It's a shame he didn't have more to grow, he was with me for quite a few years, from youth, to 2nd choice, to top choice, then dropped back to 2nd when I picked up a better keeper, though he'll probably need replacing once I reach the Prem too,

Also, Canada's first choice, guess that says more about Canada than him, though!

 I see!

Brought in this guy years ago. Natural left midfielder but since I don't plat any wide players I've spent the last few years developing him as a CAM. Turned out a pretty decent squad player IMO.

Nothing really special but you need players to fill in and I'm pleased I don't have to get rid of him.

1 Million pound for this guy. My current RB gets injured too much for my linking. Arfican too so has the ACON and he has been injured 8 times (I counted) on international duty.

He'll do nicely. CA is only 2.5* so he has plenty of room for improvement too.

I am absolutely sick of this game, I cannot control possession AT ALL, against even relegation sides, my defenders simply cannot defend as 90 percent of every fecking clearance goes to the fecking opposition, I try to play a fecking short passing game and they only go and long ball it every fecking time or literally PASS IT to the fecking opposition. They can't run with the ball, they always head the ball for a corner when it isn't necessary and the board wants me to play attacking football and possession football which is IMPOSSIBLE to do.

Post your tactic on here? Someone might be able to suggest some adjustments.

Uugghhh

Just had my second cruciate injury in 6 months. One of my best players too, another 10 months out. Pereira managed to recover well enough and despite dropping a star he it still playing great.

Lost my only striker for 6-7 weeks too.

The positives are that I've won every single game so far this season, 17 in total. That includes two cup finals. Best ever start to a season on this save.

The time has come for me to move on. I've been made an offer which I simply cannot turn down.

I've had a perfect season with Göteborg so far, literally. 19 wins out of 19. My final win was at home to our greatest rivals, AIK. 1-0 until the 82nd minute, then we struck twice in 6 minutes to win it. The perfect sendoff for me. I feel a little emotional right now, I've grown to love the club and have built it into something special. I will return one day.

Onwards and upwards for me right now though.

Hala Madrid!

I think I may have the next Pelé. He is 2 stars for current ability and has a 4.5 star potential ability. He is only 17!

Here were his stats after 15 matches:

I really want to play him with the senior team but I want to see how good his record can get. :D

Always exciting when you get great young regens, impressive stats he has. What type of striker is he?

I had one the other day, 17 year old and 3.5* CA. Insane player he's gonna be. Took him to Madrid with me :D

My assistant [Mauro Tassotti] says he is best as a target man. I do not like that type of player, and I already have Balotelli as a complete forward. He has 19 finishing and 16 first touch, as well as 17 off the ball. His personality is Resolute but I am going to train him to become a Professional. But I want to have a poacher option. I just had my youth intake for 2016, this is supposed to be my best player.

Stupid youth recruitment.

Well, looks like I'm finishing 4th, I knew I was never going to catch Chesea. I only need a point to guarantee champions league football, and at least United recovered out of their rut to climb to third, sadly couldn't get past city!

What exactly is the difference between a Attacking mid and an advanced playmaker? Tomas Martinez has developed beautifully under me and I want to know ho best to use him. Even sold my young attacking mid who was better than him to develop him properly :)

As far as I can tell an Advanced Playmaker relies less on pace and doesn't need a work rate as high. An AP needs to be better off the ball and have better anticipation too.

An Attacking Mid is pretty much a CM pushed up the pitch, solid hard worker and drops into midfield when defending, an Advanced Playmaker is going to be moving about, looking to slip killer balls through and such, more likely to sit ahead of midfield defending, to provide an outlet. Depending on your setup, I'd imagine AP or even Trequartista might be best.

Just had a mad balls crazy game against Bolton. They scored an OG 16 mins in, a freaky equalizer(one of them attempted crosses that somehow goes in) on 24 mins. Second half comes along quietly, only for one of their guys to be sent off on 79th minute. One of my guys dragged off injured on the 86th. They foul one of my players in the box on the 90th, peno calmly panenka'd by my young Chinese striker. On the 93'rd minute, last man back hacks down my other striker a Chelsea reject(who has immense potential.....), 2nd fellow off. Pereira cracks the post on the ensuing free kick, only for said reject to slot home the rebound. 1-3 win.

Inherited a Real Madrid team that finished 7th under Laudrup.

First signing, my new AP

I found him on the midfielder list. It was about 4 in the morning and I though I was looking on the transfer list so bid his value and Chelsea accepter strangely

Be interesting to see how the club and country fares without you.

5w-3d-1l in the Championship so far, and into the 4th round of the COC facing my 2nd Prem team so far. Surprisingly good start so far, despite making a few mistakes in the transfer window, leaving me with a stronger squad, but a tight squeeze for homegrown sometimes(too many Irish signed last few years *slightly* too old).
