Gaming Football Manager 2014

You can do it mid game, no hassle, I must have done it 20-30 times yesterday. As for how, there's a couple of ways, you can just copy the fines to your skins folder, or you can use the Steam Workshop, I guess there should be some handy videos on Youtube to show you in detail.

Messed up how?
Basically all the text got mashed up and was overlapping all over the place, buttons as well I believe were a total clusterfeck.

Is it something to do with resolution? I use windowed mode on a 15.6 inch screen on my laptop. I believe these skins are built for higher resolutions.

Inbetween Stoke, Everton and Southampton picking up 3 of the 4 CL-spots in the first season, and Jonathan Parr being my backup LB, I would say it seems very realistic :D
Had a brilliant save once, Everton won the league at a canter season one, just avoided relegation season two(without Lukaku and Deulofeu), and got Lukaku back on loan season three, ending up mid table.

Ahhhhhh! That's what made half the skins troublesome for me, windowed mode + laptop. This one works fine, but my lappys screen might be bigger than 15.6.....

Perhaps try the Alavanja 14 Ultimate skin? IIRC the guy that made it says it's fine on any setup.

Thanks will try that one out.

Try using the full screen mode Aldo, pretty sure my laptop is 15.6 inch and it's fine for me.

Valencia is pissing me off now. Muniain is available for 17m but I don't have the budget to buy him inspite of winning the league last season and buying no-one in transfer window.

Also Vietto is god.

That's a great price, and he's quite brilliant, but I wouldn't worry about missing him too much. I would moan my arse off to the board though!
Also Vietto is god.
Incredible really.

Apparently, Liverpool, Arsenal and Leicester are after him in real life.

Earthquake has over 1,000 posts more then the next poster, his total also eclipses the next 6 posters put together

What a prannet.
How much play time do you have on this one? I had a little over 1000 hours on FM2013 but on this one have like 700.. :nervous:
Though to be fair, a good part of that is me just turning it on and leaving it on all day while only playing it occasionally.

1571, though like yourself, there are times I've had it on in the background, that also doesn't count the hours played on Vita on the other end.

I had the most posts in the newb FM forum. Cant see it now so I can't see how menu exactly.

I've been following this thread for ages and I'm glad to be on board!

Here is my current story:

I'm currently managing IFK Göteborg in Sweden. I've won the title in Sweden every single year (Now 2020) and qualified for the UCL group stages every time with the exception of one year. I've been using the money from the CL to upgrade the clubs facilities, currently the training is at the superb standard and youth facilities are at the excellent standard. Im hoping to eventually be able to self sustain, using mostly the players coming through the youth team but that will take time.

I've recently been thinking of leaving. I'm getting offers all the time from good clubs, sometimes hard to turn some of them down but I've stayed loyal so far. If any of Real, Barca, United come knocking only then i think I would be seriously tempted

This big lad is my hottest prospect ATM...

AEVi5fp.png

Also had some pretty notable wins in the Champions League

In this game Real needed a point to qualify from the group too :D

and

I also got to the Europa QF's but lost out to Spurs

My team's salary compared to everyone else in the Europa...

70m Kr = £7 Million

Anyway this is my current team/setup.The tactic, which I made myself hasn't changed for years, minus a few tactical tweaks here and there but overall works pretty well.

Some of my best and brightest regens:

This guy is one half of my Danish CB pairing, also my record transfer at 7.5 Million (He was rated @ 5*)
aznsFUV.png

Morten is my other first choice CB. Also paid 'big money for him at the time (2.5 Million was a lot to me back in 2018. In Drachmann and Jacobsen I have two good young CB's for the foreseeable future.

Next up are Grönroos and Pedersen. It is Pedersens first season in the first team and I've dropped him in the deep end after selling my star striker Gustav Engvall to Fiorentina for 5 Million. Engvall had a brilliant record for me, something like 135 goals in 195 games. Grönroos also benefited from the sale of Sergi Samper who was brought in on a free at the same time as Grimaldo but was making noises about moving. Like Engvall I took 5 Million and promoted a young player.

Grönroos was pretty interesting to me because I bought him years ago and stuck him in the youth team, a few years later my Am tells me that his CA is rated at 3.5* so I promoted him and has been in and out straight away. Never seen CA shoot up like that though before in all my time of playing FM. Good but unusual.

Lastly I will include one of my main men. Andreas Pereira. I had him on loan the first season and thanks to the CL money I managed to bring him in on a permanent deal for 3.5 Million. A great deal as he has been brilliant. In 173 Games (4 seasons) he has scored 74 goals and made 81 assists. 2 seasons ago he finished with 28 goals, 23 assists

Here he is now, 24 years old and now eligible to play for Sweden along with Planas.

Phew! that took a while!

I've only got 401 hours on FM14  I thought that was a lot, until now...

Had 400 for FM13 (on Steam) probably over 1000 in reality. Same for FM12.

Promotion play offs, take 2. First season ended in failure, this year Boreham are going up.

Immense stuff @Berbaclass

I'd be very tempted to stick with them, seems like you have a fantastic setup, it'd be interesting to see if eventually you could carve out a CL win, and bring up the nations ranking.

I'm trying to do a similar thing in my save, making a self sufficient club with Bradford Park Avenue. But as my chairman is a git, he doesn't want to invest now. As much as bringing in my own youths, I'm plundering the Irish teams, for good free kids, then selling them on. I did sell 3 of my own youths this season, all to Celtic, for a grand total of 5.2m, loads for a team that started in the Skrill North. 12.5m total sales this season, 3m spend(17 players bought!). Hope to get into the Championship this season(18/19).

I did manage to mirror you in one area, my star AMC is Pereira! I got him on a free though.

Yeah I don't think I could actually leave right now, still so much I want to accomplish.

I have managed to bring Sweden up to 13th, from 25th in the European rankings. I asked around on the SI forum about dynamic league rep and prize money and it seems that prize money does increase but not a significant amount. They suggested just 'spreading the wealth' around the league, in other words just giving the other teams in the league money for their poorer players to increase their chances of CL success.

One thing I missed out was Vydra.

Signed him on a free after WBA released him. Had 2 good years with me but sold him so Engvall could come back into the team after going to France out on loan. Vydra went to Watford for 3.5 Million, with a clause that entitled me to something like 30-35% of his next sale.

Spurs bought him for 30 Million seasons later after he was the PL top scorer for a Watford team in the top 5 of the Prem.

I got an extra 7 Million, it was like Christmas

I don't know what it is about Fin's on my game but there are loads of quality ones.

Got these two coming through.

This big Icelandic guy I have, I've been fighting off 10 Million bids from Dortmund, Arsenal, Juve, Monaco etc for a few years now. I think he's gonna be special.

First leg: 3-2 to me
Second leg: 0-1 to them
I go through 9-8 on penalties.

Play off final time!

Well I'm back on this now. Haven't played for a while due to me having to finish off multiple uni assignments.

That is now over, 4 months off , FM time! :D

Edit:

First game back on, 6-0 thrashing, Pedersen was on fire!

I had one of those crazy matches as well. I made my FM in English for the pictures:

Balotelli is amazing this year, in the third season. I hope he can keep this up — I have only played a couple of matches.

I won the scudetto again in my second season, this time not on goal difference. My new signing Lacazette was the best player in the league in his first season (14 goals, 11 assists).

And this was the worst thing from last season. I went on holiday because I thought the tie was already over after the first leg. :(

I am really starting to enjoy this game. It's my first time playing one of the Football Manager series and I love how the team is turning out. But I am struggling a bit in the Champions League.

The only thing I want is to buy a new stadium [San Siro is rented] but the board always refuse. I am sure we have the funds to finance it. Do any of you know how to do it?

I'm getting 35m bids for Paco Alacer and Parejo is rated as as 25m player have also sold Bernat for 32m and Vietto is valued at around 40m.

Andreas been called up for the Sweden squad for Euro 2020!

Right. I'm absolutely determined to take a BSN or BSS team to CL glory. I always get bored at around the Championship stage but it's an unfinished goal and something i really want to do. I'm finding this game more difficult than the rest at sticking to a save, been the same with Fifa 14.

It really takes such a long time.....
