Gaming Football Manager 2010

Oh I usually keep it as Standard, if I'm getting overrun I\ll play on the counter and if it feels comfortable I\ll play attacking and then Control.

In one game I was winning 3 - 2 away from home. In the 87th minute Boruc comes too far out of his goal for a clearance, kicks it straight to their player and he lobs him from 60 yards. I wanted to suspend him forever, the cnut.

Oh what do I do when my players complain of a lack of discipline in the team? This always happens to me two years into the job.

Start being harsher with red cards.

Is that all because my team hardly gets any red cards - maybe two or three for the whole season. Being harsher in the sense you mean issue a warning or fine a week's wages?

:lol::lol: All the weird things happen only to you Solius.

mine glitched last season allowing me to play two of my players that had gone to the ACN in League games during that time...

Anyway despite moving on a load of shite and bringing in quality I seem to only ever be able to win 1-0. Not really a complaint as I'm 7th having already played the near unstoppable City and Liverpool (1st and 2nd), but still an annoyance.

I have Defederico in my United team playing an AMC Trequartista role behind two front men and he's pretty spectacular, although took him a couple of seasons before he started playing consistantly well. Plenty of goals and assists, but best of all he plays schexy football, always looking to do something special. Likes his long range screamers and cheeky backheeled throughballs, also he seems to be the only player in my team who's somewhat reliable in one on ones.

I paid £23m for him (From Corinthians in 2011)

Well I just loaded up a United game myself to see how much I could lure him to OT for, managed to get him for £10mil in the first season! He seems like an ideal left winger I would of thought, but seem's from what you've said he could be quite the AMC too! I'm not going to carry on though, I don't like playing with United

So to my next find - James Rodriguez from Banfield (Actually i'm taking no credit from this, I read something about him on SkySports :smirk:)! He's pretty cheap, I had a bid of £1.4mil accepted for him and looks quite the young player! Next challenge, raise some bloody cash for Valencia so I can even afford him!

6 games to go in the league and I'm 2 points off of fourth spot (I'm in 6th). This could get really tight, especially if I win against Valencia

Is it strange that I got the Brazil job? I mean I thought it was something you'd have to work for a few in-game years for. I'm in my third season as a manager, I finished 9th with Birmingham, then was 12th when I got sacked, took over Sevilla and was about 7th when they offered me the job.

I'm trying to sell a player, I offer him to clubs, then the next day my mail will say a club have bid for him but then it will say 'Sevilla have rejected the offer'. When it never even gave me the chance to. Even if I go on holiday and set it to 'accept all offers' it still rejects it. Any ideas?

I can't wait for this season to end. I'm 4th in La Liga but the squad is falling apart really. Boruc keeps missing training, players are requesting transfers, and some players are older than I thought they were. Grinding out results atm but going to resign at the end of the season and concentrate on Brazil while only applying for top jobs in England. Not a fan of the Spanish transfer system.

So far my Brum side are playing quite well, we're not conceding many goals - Otamendi and Johnson have struck up an excellent partnership so far (Otamendi playing as a stopper, and Johnson as a limited defender).

I managed to beat Arsenal 2 - 0, and Chelsea 1 - 0, though have lost twice (once in the cup) to Sunderland 2 - 1.

Still, I'll take those two wins any day of the week.

Otamendi is a beast. Does pick up about 6 red cards for me during a season though.

I've had the best of luck with young players now. During the summer 2014 I saw that Liverpool had a 3m bid accepted for some guy I'd never heard of. I check him out and he turns out to be a 16 year old super striker. All over great attributes, with 18s in finishing, without ball, dribbling, first touch and technique. Went right in as a back up striker for Rooney.

Mame Biram Diouf, believe it or not, has scored 22 goals in 25 appearances for me. I never thought he would do this good and now every little focker wants him.

Are you using Parnaby or Damien Johnson at all? Both were with me from the beginning of my Southampton game in the Third Division right the way to the Premier League (initially on loan, then mine on frees).

I got the United job. Left Sevilla after finishing 5th, lost to Villareal on the last day and forgot about the head to head rule so they got 4th spot. feck Spain and their weird systems. I also quit the Brazil job as it was 2012 and it would be another 2 years before any decent competitive games came around. In June 2012 I was offered the Tottenham job which was appealing but I declined hoping a better offer would come. The season started and nothing came until January when the manager who had taken over from Fergie was sacked after 6 months. They offered me the job and I accepted. My first signing was Hugo Lloris as we had no decent goalkeeper at all.

I'm using Johnson as a Ball-Winning midfielder, he's starting most of the games ATM. Is Parnaby the RB or the RB/WB?

Fixed it.

Was it because you had set him to "reject all offers" on the players actual transfer status?

Gattuso never was the sharpest tool in the shed, was he?

This is the Serie A situation with 5 games to go.

Just played a game against Bolton where they managed to injure SIX of my players in some capacity. They ended up with one yellow card. Don't even want to know how six players get hurt in the same game.

This is my third season with United(2012). I have put together a great team and I have not lost a game this season. I m in January right now. I have a problem though. I just gave Evans and Rodwell a new contract last year and their contracts runs till 2014 but they have asked me to give them another contract for 5 years or else they will move on. Fecking money-wanting cnuts.

You should have saved the game before hand and replayed it. Its alright to replay a game because of injuries and not because of the result. I mean its the same in the reality. You just dont get 6 players injured badly in one game and their players only get one yellow card.

Thats a terrible idea, you let things be as they are and cope with them you don't continously replay games till the outcome(including injuries) suits you.

The only reason I replay games is to refine tactics and even then i diliberately setup a saved game for this sole reason.

Well you play the game like in reality. You dont alter games just because you lost because you can lose to anyone in reality too. But injuries dont happen thick and fast in real life. You could probably have 1 or 2 injuries in a game but not the whole team. Even that doesnt happen in reality.

In fairness everbody is free to play the game how they like, I just think that coping with injuries is part of the managerial challenge of the game and I whilst they might occur slightly too often I still don't think that injuries are excessive on the game even with the latest patch.

But to each his own.

Have you seen our defence for most of the year?

Hmmm....Did they all go out in one game?

Ha, that will teach me for only skim reading! I thought you were saying that the game dealt too many injuries to you and that wasn't realistic. Although on your actual point Portsmouth had a pretty tough time of it today with Herman and Webber both getting serious injuries. What really annoys me about the game is the tendency for injuries to big signings, a couple of times I've made a marquee signing and then they've immediately broken their legs; very demoralising.

Its ok. Yeah I get really pissed off to. There is possibility that anytime a player can be seriously injured. Although the worst I ve ever had was 3 months. See if I lose just one player then I dont do anything. I try and keep it as realistic as possible. Even if I lose against Hull then I dont replay it and I get on with it.
