and I lose the game in the 87th minute 1 - 0 after my strikers miss a ridiculous aount of chances.

Looks like I haven't been sacked though.
 
Seems like you can finally get a 10/10 match rating with the new patch!! Started a new game with Brum, first game of the season vs Portsmouth won 5-0 with Benitez grabbing all 5 goals and a 10.0 rating :drool:

Second game of the season away to Shitty, Joe Hart can't play due to the loan clause so I was a little worried to say the least about my backup keepers :wenger: I managed to go 2-1 up at HT, City's goal coming from a Coyle own goal (they still haven't fixed the bug, or annoyance rather, of the ball rebounding off the crossbar hitting the goal keeper on the back and going in :( )! Second half went 3-1 up, Benitez again, but shitty managed to pull it back to 3-3 and got the upper hand, only for that man Benitez to pop up again and grab the winner in injury time :drool: 7 in 2, not bad going so far!!
 
I wish my defenders weren't so fecking shit. How is Scott Dann performing for you gaz? He's been an utter spastic for me.

I'm just gonna have to crawl over the line really, my strikers aren't firing, two of them are injured anyway. My defence is also shit and theres a lack of harmony in the squad.
 
So Fergie retired after finishing 7th and I got offered the job after finishing 2nd with QPR.

Pato for £46m has been superb - him, Rooney and Rossi have scored 30+ apiece and I've won the League, FA Cup and the UEFA cup. Won the league by 12 points, got a bit boring. Might look for work in the summer.

I haven't been playing Dann at the back much Solius, I have a back four of:

Carr - Ridgewell - R. Johnson - Garrido (Who I think you signed too :lol:)

I also brought in Danny Wilson a backup centre back from Rangers, he's only 17 and looks like he could be a great player - plus he rejected the Scousers for me!! :smirk:

Oh and how are you utilising Benitez? I play him as a lone striker and make sure he's your target man with it set to "Run onto the ball" - He's been tearing through defenses with that setting!

I originally was playing 4-3-3 with a CM trio of Diarra, Bowyer & Ferguson and then a front 3 of Demba Ba, Benitez and Jerome. It worked alright but recently I've been playing a front two of Ba & Benitez with Benitez in a Complete Striker role and he's been much better in the last 2 months than he has been all season.
 
Get in! I complained about Scott Dann all season and he just popped up to bag the winner on the final day against City :D It pushed me up the 9th place after Villa lost 4 - 0 to Utd. After a shit December - February my season picked up and I'm pleased with the overall result. 9th is decent and will look to qualify for Europe next season.

I play more of a 4-5-1, with 2 CM's, 1 AM, 2 Wingers and the Lone Striker, but nobody set to attack besides the Striker. I got Jeremy Clement in for my ball winner and rotate my other CM's - there are plenty of them at Birmingham! I also have Ander (On Loan) and McGugan (Steal at £1.4mil) playing in the AMC role, De Mul & McFadden on the wings but need to bring someone else in there and have Tafer on loan from Lyon (with the option to buy for £5mil, which I think i'll be doing!) as my third striker!

You done a great job changing around your season there, 9th is a good postion for Brum i'd say - Nice way to end it pipping Villa's place!! Atleast now you can bolster the squad some more!
 
Yeah was good only losing once in the last 10 games, didn't expect that at all.
 
I need a goalkeeper now Joe Hart's loan has ended but nobody will come to me. Not even Kirkland from Wigan who were relegated.

Started decent, 7 points from 4 games. Adriano scored on his debut but then got injured for 4 weeks, Jack Wilshere has two goals already and I beat Arsenal 1 - 0. I have a good record against them.
 
I had to leave my computer in a rage yesterday - I was home alone so I felt at liberty to have a shout at it as Necid missed chance after chance after chance after chance.

So to calm myself down I thought I'd go and make some breakfast while watching the Champions League highlights show. During which Necid scored against Seville.

I've rejigged my teams tactics a bit. Now Necid is target man (he has ridiculous heaidng stats - 20 for strength, 17 for heading and jumping) and all crosses are aimed at him. Possebon is set to shoot from long range at will now.

First match was a 0-1 victory at White Hart Lane - Necid with the headed winner. Second match was a 2-1 loss at Chelsea, Possebon with a 35 yarder for the equaliser.

I hate losing a save where I have done well, going back to an earlier point and then not doing as well. The sheer injustice
 
This game severely arse rapes you when you are a team that is 'supposed' to struggle. It's not because you're doing anything wrong it's like the game decides that your players must be completely incapable of winning a single header in their own penalty box. It's ludicrous.
 
Quick questions.

I have the game set up through steam. Sometimes it works offline, sometimes it doesn't. Anyway, it updated itself there last night.

But now my saved games don't work anymore. If I go to create a new game, it crashes. Any ideas?

I can't seem to hit the back of the net. Only scored two goals in the opening draw 1-1 with Zaragoza and in a 1-0 win over Mallorca. Athletic next, who are unbeaten in 5 and have acored 15 goals

right so im Nott Forest into my third season in PL , i managed to get some decent players and im sitting 3rd in the league.

last match vs Sunderland i went 1 -0 down then Bent was sent off and i scored 2 to make it 1-2 in the 94th minute fecking Kenwyne Jones scores an equalizer !! Fffffuuuuuuu...

this is my side. rakitic is fecking class, banging goals for fun.

Followed up the Athletic win with a 3-0 at home to Getafe, then a 1-0 home loss to Tenerife, which was a bit of a shitter.

Next game is Málaga away and the AI has them as slight favourites. A draw would be good there but I'm aiming for all three.
 
Lost the league to Genoa on head to head. Same amount of points, and I had a far superior goal difference but they beat me at their place and I only managed a draw at home against them.

They had Juventus away as their last game of the season as well, so I was hopeful they might drop points, but the bianconeri cnuts went and played a massively weakened team (presumably because they had nothing to play for, other than seeing their big rivals not winning the league) and got done 1-4. Feckin annoying that.

I should have won the league but somehow managed a 2-2 draw with 20th place Modena (a team on a losing streak of 14, with 21 goals scored and 93 conceded all season) at home. Just going to sell off half my team, and promote a load of youngsters in the hope some come good. Useless gimps
 
Since this patch I can't seem to keep my players conditions anywhere near good enough to sustain a decent patch of form, they are fecked by the 70th minute in most games. Tactics are the same as the last patch and decent results but I have a small squad and its getting hard to put a fit side out game after game.
 
I'm starting a game with Birmingham, as it seems to be the hip thing to do around here.

So far I've signed my favourite - Anthony Annan. I'm signing Otamendi, that Norwegian player I recommended last week and I look like I'm about to sign Chinedu Obasi. Though I may look at other striking options first, or even an advanced playmaker/AM if I can bring in a good striker on loan.

Will line up in a 4-1-2-1-2 formation at this stage.

I'd love to pawn off McFadden for that much, though I don't see how I'll get that during this first window.

Needless to say this hasn't worked as I have now taken 2 points from my opening 4 games, and currently lie 16th in the league. Hurray for rash management decisions formed on the back of one disappointing result.
