Not unhappy to see Da Guia swan off to Sevilla given he seemed to play left-back for us and would be a fair age by now.

I have finished the ALL TIME table up to the end of Season 7. I am waiting for @oneniltothearsenal to produce the final table for Season 8, and I will post the All Time one. You are currently in 5th place All Time, but the two teams above you only have 1 and 2 points more respectively. Hence the need to finish season 8 before posting. Those two teams are Gio and Moby/Raees btw.

@Igor Drefljak is currently top. But the gap has been closing. He had one monster points total season (81), and all previous champs had around 70 or less.

Dont worry, I released Eto’o, Quioncoces, Finny and Leónidas on a free over the summer. And signed Vidal.
 
Tailed off but within 5 points of Europe so the eternal dream carries on. No doubt I'll finally qualify for Europe on the season onenil decides to end it

Even if we finished 5th with the same points and GD records, I don't care. This is a massive improvement for the team.

As @oneniltothearsenal explained, wages are a significant issue (I assume more so with Europe/TopClub legends) as the ages got reset but not their relative worth in wages.

It's likely that after eight seasons many players on the fringes are simply being replaced by regens on wages more in line with squad status.

Back to my typical season: 8-1 favourites to come first (1), and then they come eighth (8). I must have at least four identical seasons, surely something up with the AI and calculating/presenting odds.

Entering Mou 3rd season so expect nothing but a terrible start and a new manager bounce after Christmas. Not in Europe so maybe that Google Cup thing?

Yeah, sadly this is happening. I'm already seeing regens creeping into lineups and sides are buying them now. If this was ever run a new version (with 2020 edition or later) I'd definitely go in and make adjustments to the database first.

FM17.

i downloaded the database from the fmsciur website I think. Just put FM(version) Return of the Legends database into google and it’ll find it. It’s available for most versions I think. Had it in FM20. Likely available for FM21 by now.

Latest DB is for FM20 and has a massive 4500 classic players, but takes 7 hours to load a game.

Personally, I'm more inclined to this earlier FM and ~1000 classics database if you want to play rather than sim.

Do you really want to play in a world with 4500 World Class (if not GOAT) players? Sounds bloody hard and results bound to be pretty random / too heavily influenced by otherwise peripheral features of the game when teams are stacked like that.

The 'behind the scenes' Amazon series I've signed up to will be top viewing.
 
So we've basically weakened our side by letting go of one of our best players in Neeskens and a young prospect in Hierro. Back to mid-table mediocrity, I guess.
