tuppet's side has been fined and three players allowed to leave on a free

@BeforeKeanetherewasRobson gains Mbappe
@P-Nut acquires Facchetti
@Šjor Bepo signs Kopa
In the meantime, I'm sinking fast. Sold Krol (Feck @Macern) and Bakero for peanuts and signed Franck Sauzee and Aldo Maldera.

Rinat Dasaev is single-handedly giving my team something to fight for. If he leaves us, then we'd be done for.

Maybe it's just a transitional year, but with those sales, I wouldn't be surprised if your team has brought in a new manager.

Champions League Semifinals (best leg that decided the match)

Reverted to type whilst B4Keane is doing exactly what I'd hoped for from my side.

I always knew that Terim was the right choice for me to finally produce a proper title-challenging campaign. Never in doubt! Never...

Actually I think Romario has taken over your top striker role :lol:
I noticed, that's when I started nose-diving.

Romario was for a proper dynamic Cruyff side, one playing 3-4-3 or 4-3-3 with the likes of Krol and van Henegem, not the very predictable going through the motions 4-2-3-1 he was playing with Bozsik looking half-arsed in midfield and occasionally playing Romario through.

Give me Figo crossing to Spencer every day of the week over that, clear as day that's how I got that CL. That's what I got Fritz Walter and Spencer for once it dawned on me Cruyff wasn't Cruyff.

It's also baffling why SAF left @Gio after winning the CL. Maybe it was a mic drop quit after dismantling Cruyff twice, in the semis as manager and in the finals as a player
This was his Hampden 2002 moment. Who's got the gig since he retired? Not impressed with the Moyes-esque slump in performances since the great man stood down.

You love to see it :devil:
Bastard, I watched your game fully expecting to have a meltdown over Krol's performance...

Only to find he isn't playing, Maldini is.

Maldini.

And yet some wanker sold you Ruud Krol for 26M as backup.

I want heads rolling.

Speaking of, need to dig up how patient I made my fans. I should have set them to anto mode, not what anto wants when he is the manager mode. I'm the fan here :lol:

It's probably Moyes actually

So at the start of season 5 and we have the biggest transfer the league has seen. Not in pure money, there have oddly been larger money transfers. But team @Igor Drefljak has gone big and bought Beckenbauer from @Skizzo @Joga Bonito and Messi from @Moby @Raees!!!

As @antohan predicted the Messi buy might not be surprising because Messi is till young, yet to fully develop and behind Zico but Beckenbauer being sold?!? A secured team leader for them gone for only 23M. Oh well, at least Skizzonito brought in Chendo and Denis Irwin right?

And without any European competition team @Gio is predicted to win the league this season.

You brought in Cruyff actually :lol: who did win you the European Super Cup and the Club World Cup.

Then Cruyff resigned after nearly 2 years and now you have Jock Stein.

Wait, why is my team bringing in Ben Woodburn of all people? What's he going to offer? :lol:

Also, looks like Skizzonito's going through a rough transition. I'm expecting them to struggle in the upcoming season.

Shankly, Ferguson, Stein. :drool: What a tour through Scottish royalty we've had.

No wonder Cruyff struggled when it was originally a Trap team.

@BeforeKeanetherewasRobson letting Xavi leave on a free transfer is the weirdest transfer on there. How no one has snapped him up is crazy.

Also I'm finally not a 1000-1 shot for the title. Progression baby!

Season 5 February League Update
No surprise who is ahead this season :cool:

Beckenbauer for 23 mil raising to 34,5, Willi Schulz for 36,5 mil raising to 58? Makes sense, the former couldn't even push Willi from the national side and had to play in midfield :drool:

Seriously though, Beckenbauer for 23 millions? Ridiculous :lol:
edit: alright, letting Xavi go for free is an even worse decision.

My theory is that the latest generation of greats (Messi, Xavi) was not fully developed at game start and could never break into the starting lineups over the old players in their peak (Meazza, Hidegkuti, Billy Liddell etc) so they haven't been able to fully develop yet while the older generation has, for the most part maintained a stranglehold on the starting lineups.

Meanwhile, a few players have misplaced PA that I noticed (Klinsmann had a fecking 190 PA ffs). That and now regens are starting to creep in because they've had free reign at "normal" clubs to develop unhindered by two dozen all time greats.

Yeah makes sense, hopefully picking mainly younger players pays off for me down the road then. In top half at the moment, be interesting if I can finish the season there.

Der Bomber and Dasaev are absolute beasts and saving my team big time. I fear that they may leave at some point given how much we've struggled to get into Europe (dang GD!).
