Gaming FM Owner Experiment | Experiment finished!

If it isn't any hassle to create a new save with a manager to get those in depth financials it would be good to see that breakdown. No worries if not though. :)

I'll allow any sales going forward each summer. I'll send you your squad list and gibe me names to sell, it auto gets added to your BB and TB.

And one player you want to prevent from being sold (if any - doesn't include ones already locked down that you personally signed)

Cracking, thanks Sol for that update. Finances aren't as bad as I thought on initial viewing!

Great updates. Snowed under today so will get investigating in the pm. De Zerbi all is forgiven.

Oh also I am travelling for work tomorrow so Season 7 likely not starting til Thursday morn.

Season 7 - Start
Season 7 - Start

We are back! The owners have been busy hunting for players to take them to that next level. Let's see who they went with.

--------------------------------

Sheffield Utd have signed 21 year old Maxwell Basit. Basit is a Ghanian regen CB who arrives from Troyes for £67.5m, as Sheff Utd find their Scalvini partner.

FA Cup winners Sunderland kept it modest and recruited Sporting Lisbon's Tiago Parente for £35.2m. Parente is a 22 yo left-sided wing back who can also play on the right. He'll likely replace their current LB option Reinildo who is 35 and transfer listed.

Derby chucked £88.5m at City for 19 year old regen Abdulaziz Al-Houti. Al-Houti is equally adept at CB and RWB, and can even play RW and also CM at a push.

And finally Bolton signed Tino Livramento from Newcastle for £72.5m. The 26 year old RWB can play on both sides and also further up if needed.

32.7 or 37.2 for my player?

Looks like we all have enough now to make a European push with a bit of luck. Pino in dream eleven too.

When you get to December can you post a screenshot of my starting line-up or tactic please.

Restart the whole experiment!!!

It would be interesting to run the experiment again from start to finish with the same changes (or as much as possible taking into account regens) and seeing how different it turns out.

The cream of Sheffield would always rise to the top

Incredible

I know who I'll be keeping next summer then

 @ Alto, amazing.

Nice to snap up Elliot too actually. Baller in the game and good for HG.

Can't decide whether selling the the GK without replacing him is worse than signing Antony.

They've absolutely got Ten Hag nailed on in the game. Rinses through your budget and signs his mates.

Season 7 - Christmas
24th December 2029

Merry Christmas! Here is where we stand before entering big old 2030.

pl.jpg

Sunderland only 6 points off top spot! After losing the Community Shield and their first two PL games they've bounced back and surged up the table. Garnacho & Bradley have statistically been their best players, but Sesko and Murphy-Davies are the ones getting the goals. Franca has settled in well too, scorign 5 goals and getting 4 assists at AMC. Parente has played every game at LB, getting 6 assists too. In the Europa League they've been very good again. 6 played, 5 wins and 1 loss. They'll comfortably make the knockouts.

Derby also flying high! They started off hovering around 15th/16th but after a good set of wins they've risen the ranks. The worry with them at the moment is their small squad and lack of goals. They only have 22 players and 3 of those are GKs. Despite this, Estevao has still been limited to 2 starts and 8 sub appearances. New signing Al-Houti has played every game at RB and scored his first Derby goal in a 2 - 1 home win against Liverpool. Darvich has 6 goals, followed by Moukoko with 5 but apart from that they're lacking a talisman.

Bolton were doing great every time I checked on them, but their form has dipped since late October with 5 defeats in 8 games. Tbf to them that was a run of City, Arsenal, Newcastle (drew), Chelsea, Utd and Spurs. They won their most recent game (see Caf match-ups for details). Paez leads their scoring charts (and rating charts) with 6 goals and a whopping 7.79 to make him the most in-form player in the league. New signing Livramento has rotated at RB with Alexandre Penetra.

Sheffield Utd will be very disappointed with their form so far. You're saying Antony didn't make them better? Well he is actually their second top scorer with 6 goals. Pino is top with 7. Newboy Maxwell Basit (who is already vice captain) has also scored 3 goals and gotten an assist from RCB. They've not even been that bad and any losses have been marginal. Surely it turns around soon for them. One bit of good news for them is that they've reached the Carabao Cup Quarter Finals, where they play Blackburn. A semi final against Arsenal awaits if they win. They've also cruised the Europa Conference League and top the league phase with 5 wins and a draw in 6 games.
