A miracle like people voting for the team they actually want, rather than trying to keep it close to send to penalties?

Anyway, the way the penalties work, it wouldn't have mattered if I had Schmeichel take one.

Cal has unsurprisingly chosen Cristiano to go first ahead of Pele. The manager has openly called him his favorite and they've been bunkbedding together through-out the tournament. They've clicked great as they both share the common interest of talking about how great Cristiano really is.
Cristiano looks more confident than ever when he runs towards the ball, blasts it to the right top corner. Jennings goes to the right hand corner and is nowhere near the ball. 1-0 Cal

There's always some randomer ready to screw up a final, you should have hounded him to switch his vote back which would have been like a six-pointer at the death.
FWIW, I was close to leaving a vote behind for Cal? last night to keep it alive, but I wasn't confident I would wake up in time and didn't think you should lose so opted not to. For the record, I didn't think the opposite either, a very likely 2-2 draw as far as I was concerned.
I tagged him, but then headed to bed. It was fecking obvious he'd forget to come back...and I expected the worst after leaving.
Ah well. Nothing like a bit of added drama to keep everyone entertained.

We fumbled our way through most of the time
and then the one match we actually deserve to win....we got mani'dNo shame in losing to that team though
When I voted it was 5 vote difference with five hours left or so.I thought no way Cal could make the comeback.If I would have seen this well before the closing time certainly would have changed the vote.I loved your team balance compared to Cal's no way I can see your defence gets beaten there.We fumbled our way through most of the time

and I expect your vote for life now though! At that point I thought it was dead as well, normally only see about 40 votes and pretty surprised it got to 46 in the end and I got the last 5.

There was, it was 23-22 in the last minute and I voted for myself just for the sake of it, then the poll finished at 23-24.

Interesting point on the number of overall votes. There's been some draft matches that have barely been scraping double figures recently, so its good to see these things are still capable of attracting interest.
