Two fantastic sides and close final as expected, out of both my favorite is Skizzo's and would have voted him,but to keep this final a close contest, voting Cal.

It didn't really expose any flaws, just that it's the style that is the most likely to get results against Tiki-taka.You changed your entire tactics so you wouldn't try the same thing against the style that's had the most success against your team...then ended up making two subs and having to try and alter your tactics then on the fly.
Now you're going back up against the same style that has exposed the flaws in Pep's Barca sides...except (like anto said) it's on steroids. They've never had to compete with Rijkaard hounding them. Or try to break down a defence like Scirea-Figueroa-Ruggeri.
You play a high line, against the forwards we have, you get punished.
Thank you.Two fantastic sides and close final as expected, out of both my favorite is Skizzo's and would have voted him,but to keep this final a close contest, voting Cal.

Also, I'm not entirely sure your keeper deserves a place in a game like this.
Thank you.
Skizzo's team is much better but voted Cal to annoy Skizzo.
just kidding
Sorry Skizzo, still got time to change voteIs that how the voting works now?
Love skizzo's side, think he is gonna win 2-0.
Voted Cal.
Except you didn't...Love skizzo's side, think he is gonna win 2-0.

Only a few hours to go and already 41 votes cast, unlikely I'd find enough to overturn the deficit...
Aye it's not that much of an issue in light of how cautiously ragged the opening 10 minutes usually are in big games. See how Barcelona started in the 2 CL finals against United.Sure, you are largely playing the game you planned throughout, just had 15 minutes where you were given room to take more of the initiative and probably didn't. It doesn't really change things drastically at your end.
Yea, it's a good game... congrats if nothing much changes in the next few hours. And I'm off to bed now...I'll have to try and sleep and see what happened after I wake up. Damn time zones!
Been a good game either way

Well, the current vote of 23-19 has maintained the gap when I changed the formation (when it was 5-1), so I blame the wrong tactics for the loss of this tie.Except then you have one team playing that opening 15 minutes, then subbing out two players from the middle of the park, and asking them to change the style they started with...setting them back again.
But, we can agree to disagree on how big an issue it is. Although one team prepared, and one team not, can give an edge in games like these

The last time EAP woke up and saw the result against Raees...And I'm off to bed now...I'll have to try and sleep and see what happened after I wake up. Damn time zones!

OfcourseWell make sure you keep an eye on things then...it's close enough as it is
Night all!
@Annahnomoss
Or any one else for that matter.
What would be your all time tiki taki XI?
Ronaldo is still the odd man out and with R Carlos without Makalele looks too attacking even for me.
Skiz has a much more coherent side. I reckon it's end up 3-1 Skiz
It depends a little bit on your own perspective on these drafts but for me the only addition I would make would be to move Messi to the right and then replace him with Cruyff. Cruyff adds more pure pace to the role and otherwise would play that role very similar to Messi and he proved he thrived in a pressing defense as well and is one of the creators of the entire tactic so he'll understand it fully without a doubt.
Bar that you can either go with Henry/Ribery who played in the tactic, or someone who has the traits to do the role great like Stoichkov. Maybe you could play Cruyff on the left and go with another all-time quality striker with a good defensive work rate but for me that feels too off.
-Henry------Cruyff------Messi
------Iniesta--------Xavi-------
------------Busquets-----------
For me Busquets stays but everybody has their own take on him. In my opinion he is so specialized in one-touch possession play that if you replace him you slow down the entire triangle. Schweinsteiger would be the only other really viable option for me but everybody will have their own favorite for the role.
The defense is a lot more fantasy like though as Barcelonas defense haven't been very impressive. You wan't players who can play in a high line and who are great with the ball but there are plenty of ways to take that.
That front three would work excellently. Not sure about Zico or Scholes for that matter. The former is a bit too much of a 10 for me and Scholes loved his long passing. I reckon L. Suarez would be great in place of Iniesta. The big difficulty is replacing Xavi- someone with metronomic short passing and excellent touch.
