No work for me tomorrow!

We had a plan, we stuck to it and we won! We didn't play well? Who gives a shit, Champions of Europe!!!

This was a great day for portuguse sport champions of europe in half-marathon, triple jump and now football
Congrats all round then. By the way I'd be interested to know the Portugese view on Ronaldos early departure, does anyone think it actually galvanised them somewhat. I'm inclined to think it did, although perhaps that was France subconsciously switching off a tad??

Refusing to light up their ugly monstrosity doesn't change the fact that they lost. Makes me happy to hear they're taking it so well!
The Eiffel Tower is a thing of beauty. France is a magnificent nation who have been through hell in the last 12 months. This was the tension, the pressure, the emotion in the singing of the Marseillaise - they did great. But well done to Portugal - they are all heroes.

That's the spirit. Who cares, anyway? Enjoy the moment.

ESPN always chooses some interesting folks for commentary don't they? Even the uber-Irish guy they ALWAYS get to do Ireland games. And the American is Taylor Twellman isn't he?

Yes! Looks and sounds like a high school girls soccer team coach

Was in Scotland 2 summers ago. Loved the place. Kinda wish my ancestors had stayed. Never made it as far north as Aberdeen though. Farthest north we got was the Trossachs.
Nice country once you get out of the cities. Going way of topic so will wish you a good day and off to bed for me.

@barros How's that extra beer tasting now?
I celebrated with a bunch of Portuguese and Brazilians and now my son is driving me to the cemetery so we can put the scarf around my father in law grave, I had to tell my brother in law not to bring Portuguese flags because some people won't understand when they see a flag from other country in an American soil.

That's the most I've ever liked him, I hope he does!
Agreed. He was great shouting along the touchline, gearing the fans up and forcing the players on to play for a few more minutes.

I'm sure he is happy! And let me apologize that we have the type of idiots here who wouldn't understand.

Eder said Ronaldo told him he would score and Cedric said he motivated them at half time.

Good on him.

Oh and the Eiffel Tower is beautiful

Also a bit funny how Portugal lost to Greece at home in the final and have now won with a Greek manager.

You're not being a douche  If I'm being honest, Man United drained a lot of excitement related to football from in general. Defeats don't mean much to me, United and certain losses in my life have put things into perspective.

I personally hate losing too much to not ever care about it. Sure, life experiences put everything into perspective but losing will always be something I'll be poor at.

Perhaps Moyes and LvG have affected me a little bit but I'm quietly pleased Portugal have won. Little sad for Evra of course.

Nani has been brilliant, no way does he deserve to be ignored by many European teams and to move for 4 million. He's just stuck a big feck you to everyone and he's off to Valencia now.

Pepe has had a lot of stick from all fans and although I couldn't care less about him, he's been absolutely tremendous in this tournament and made me take note.

What's impressed me is how Portugal have been totally unfazed. They turn knockout blows into glancing hits and came with a gameplan instead of thinking they've got talent all over the pitch like our pathetic England players. We need to be honest and play to our strengths and leave a few names out the press and commentators are spunking over.

Bit of a shame Eder and Nani weren't in the trophy shot.

Parabens Portugal, well deserved. Altogether it is the national team where I found more players that I did not know and have surprised me, Guerreiro,Joao Mario, Sanches, the goalkeeper, and of course Nani and Cristiano. Special mention to Pepe
Thank you, you forgot to mention Eder. ;)
