Could go full on France & swap Doucoure for Kante, & Willian/Rashford for Mbappe/Griezmann. Wouldn't have to sacrifice any sort of links, either.

I'd find it hard to lose Doucoure though, guys a beast and is playing more box to box at the moment. His shooting is unreal, better than his stats suggest with the Hunter card on him.
I've noticed that lately as well, his shooting is better than Pogba's. On the verge of selling Pogba to be honest, just need the right icon to take his place.
By the way if any of you have got the coins for NDombele then get him bought asap, he's a big and strong Kante from FIFA 18. Covers so much ground due to his pace and knocks everyone off of the ball.
I've gone from div 5 a couple of weeks ago to 1 win off of div 3 tonight.
Also the patch has been brilliant, finesse shots are still possible to score, but there is actual variation to how people choose to play now.

Oh might go back to the game if there's variety, was boring the life out of me and can honestly say I didn't miss it the last 10 days or so.
Yeah I think I scored 2 finesse shots but neither were timed, didn't have a single one scored against me as well. Only played 3 games with the new patch, but as I said that's with my highest skill rank so far so you'd expect to see it every game like in the past.
Thought feck it and decided to try a squad battles game on ultimate against a 69 rated team with Griezmann up top since against the mostly bronze/some silver/1 star teams on legendary I was regularly winning by like 5+ goals (but play World Class against others when I do squad battles).
Got fecked. Absolutely fecked. Not only could I not take the ball off them, I could barely get an attack in. And this was against a shite team! Doesn't help that they make your whole team play like idiots apparently.

Not sure who to use in goal. Has to be a Serie A player. Anyone here who have tested different Serie A keepers? I’ve got SIF Szczesny as a red untradable inform, but I wouldn’t mind buying someone else.

Perin has always been class when I've used him in drafts. How on earth are you getting that team on max chem btw?
I'm wondering the same. Do the red lines not make a difference in game?
He'll use a different formation so there aren't as many red lines, just can't figure out which one would get them all on 10

Do you mean the Weekend League player picks? You cant roll them forward to another TOTW selection.

I think you can if you don’t enter the weekend league menu until next week, but not sure as I haven’t tried it.
Having tried doing it myself and looking into further on Reddit etc, it is designed so the player picks are locked to that current TOTW only. Really wanted the RM Cancelo this week but didn't manage to get him
Although there may be a glitch to get around it as Macern mentioned but I haven't heard of that before.
I couldn't hold off anyway, I went in hoping to get Cancelo or Gomez. Got Poulsen and some 79 rates RM.... useless.

@P-Nut0712 how do you rate Perin compared to other goalkeepers in the game? Now that timed finesses are nerfed I don’t think his lack of height is that important. As some may remember he was my favourite goalkeeper last fifa so I’d like to give him a chance.
Yeah I also got crap. Best pack pull was Khedira and IF Semedo from my tradable TOTW pack. My three player picks were Gimenez, some guy from Morocco and some German 79 rated player. Won’t ever use any of them. This TOTW was rubbish though so didn’t have any expectations.
How you finding the new patch? Reading crossing is the meta now? Although I never had an issue defending crosses so hoping I enjoy the new patch
I’m struggling which is strange since I was never as reliant on timed finesses as other people around my level. I think I’ve just somehow lost all my confidence in front of goal, I just don’t know how to score anymore. It started after the weekend league when I played on monday before the patch. Been trying to implement a few things into my game such as the low driven finesse, the god awful la croqueta which I’ve been neglecting to use until now and some other stuff, so I’m not playing with the same flow I usually do.
Have only played around 10 games since the patch so still early, but I like it so far. Attacking seems way more balanced. Struggling to find the meta though, crossing is definitely not it despite what you read on Reddit etc. It’s decent, always has been in FIFA 19, but definitely not meta. I definitely wouldn’t rely on crossing even though I have Zlatan who is one of the best headers in the game.
It’s like playing a different game. So sluggish and it’s impossible to score instead of making timed finesse shots more difficult they’ve literally ruined all finishing in general.

I guess that's one of the downsides of playing at a good level, because where I am, every game has 4+ goals on it
Edit: Then I go & lose my first game of the day 1-0. Go figure.

Regarding shooting techniques, I’d say finesse shots are definitely still in the game. I prefer them to low drivens, though the new low driven finesse seems to be quite effective. Still haven’t figured out how to use it properly. Crossing is decent, normal shots are decent. Shooting seems generally very balanced.

@Macern I actually use the driven quite a bit so don't mind that. How do I do low finesse?
Once every two months maybe. I have a busy job and two kids so not that much time. Spend most of my time trading on the app to be honest.
You should probably look it up on youtube, it’s tricky. You shoot like a normal finesse, but hold L1/LB while powering up the shot. So you start off with holding R1/RB, and then you power up the shot, and just after you have started pressing O/B you hold L1/LB. You can also tap the shoot button when you strike the ball to get it timed. Takes a while to get it into your muscle memory. I’m still struggling, way too often it becomes a low driven. I think I’ll go into some skill games and practice.
Bear in mind, some people believe you have to release R1/RB before pressing down L1/LB, but I believe it’s false, at least according to youtuber Krasi.

Play Rivals during the week (untradable awards) and rinse all players from that into sbcs. Stacked packs before TOTY and rinsed upgrade sbcs etc. Lucked out with Neymar from the premium L1 upgrade and VVD from a standard gold upgrade.
