Well played mate, that's insane profit. I never buy Fifa points either, last year I tried to predict MM but this year they've changed requirements so I've gone to predicting investments for League SBC. I never knew which IFs to invest in but I'll look out now after your advice!

Right lads my PL team is as good as it can be short of players like If VVD, pogba, kante, hazard etc. A bit bored now. Have 60k in coins and probably about 600k in players. Any recommendations for a league or squad to start again with?
I'm still trying to find that one player who just works for me (granted, I'm nt playing long). Just gamble and build a team based around someone who you think might work for you.

My favourite player on fifa of all time is definitely FIFA 15 chikhaoui. FIFA 12 had some great Brazilian silvers like Danilinho who were incredible. I believe that was also the game where the likes of Doumbia, Agbonlahor and Welliton dominated everything. Another one is FIFA 14 Ibarbo. What a player. It felt like playing with Usain Bolt against kids. He couldn’t shoot to save his life, so pretty close to Bolt I imagine
And yeah, Marvell Wynne. My best defender in FIFA of all time. I’ve even named my WiFi after him. I think it was FIFA 12, he was this 66 rated silver CB with 96 pace. He was tiny, but strong as hell. The meta that year was to just run with strong and fast players and he stopped all of them. Caught up to even the fastest player because he got 99 pace in game because of chemistry or something.
In terms of your situation, I’d probably be looking to build a team around Mbappe if you decide you want to sell your team at some point. He’s not that expensive and really good. I’d play him as a striker.

Funnily enough Kone was a beast for me on Fifa 14. If I recall he was 78 overall rating but was just an absolute beast. Thiago on the same edition too.
Play a 4-2-3-1 in game with Scholes and Keane as DM's. Keane stays back and I tend to start off attacks with holding L1 when I make a pass with Scholes so he makes those marauding runs forward and gets on the end of attacks
Will get Giggs at some point despite his weak foot and Rio too. Don't really care that I could get a better value for money team with meta players by replaying Scholes with someone like Kante. Had a lot of fun playing with this team so far.
Hmm, goalkeepers like Perin last year and Baia before that did wonders for me. Futswap Antonio this year is someone who has 262 games for me and is my preferred choice at RM even with my squads worth 3 mil and I’ve never come up against him.
Someone random that worked wonders for me, perhaps Juan Fernando Quintero in FIFA 14. He was a great CAM in my 5212 that year. I played with an Argentinian squad worth maybe 50k in large parts of FIFA 15 I think, and it was one of my best teams ever. I’d literally destoy teams worth millions consistently and people would message me saying how the feck did they lose against that team. Had Milton Casco (a right footed LB) at RCB and he was incredible. Played 4231 with Tevez up front, some random silver named Keko at RCAM, Maxi Moralez at CAM and some other silver at LCAM. The attacking mid trio were all around 160cm/5ft3 tall and it was like playing with three Messis. Moralez was the star of the team. He was so good.
Oh yeah, I had a Norwegian / Norwegian league hybrid in FIFA 12/13 and did wonders with that team. Consisted of some gold and lots of silver players. Huseklepp was incredible. KSI even made a video about him which got him a lot of publicity in Norway where the major newspapers would post articles about it

We all started shouting and screaming, Landu Landu became an inside joke after that, and a few years later he signed for our local team. It was unbelievable.

I almost quit the whole weekend league after my first game went exactly like this. Conceded from 3 corners with the ball bouncing around everywhere
3? Jesus. Pay attention to whoever your opponent is controlling, you can see the indicator above their head. Move your best header in front of them and you should be able to win almost all headers if you hold X (the xbox X) to full power. The longer you hold, the higher you jump so you should be able to beat opponents since they won’t hold B to max power. Or you can move the keeper to the edge of the 5m box right in front of the near post. Or both which I prefer. I probably concede on average less than 1 corner each WL.
Yeah same, I've not conceded one in the following 6 games, just couldn't do anything. I'd clear the first incoming ball which would fall at the feet of his attacker, smash it off the post, my player stumbles as it lands at his feet, nudges the ball to his player who no one is anywhere near and they slam it home

Okay so I just experienced the genuinely worst loss in my history of FIFA. I’ve been averaging more than 1000 games each year over the last couple of FIFAs and I’ve played since FIFA 2002 just to put it in perspective. I’ve got a team worth around 3 million and was up against possibly the weakest team I’ve faced since the start of the game. He had players like Alderweireld and Kompany at the back, total team value of maybe 50-100k. He couldn’t do any skill moves, he didn’t know any of the meta shooting techniques and seemed like someone who doesn’t play the game that much. Now, I’m a Div 1 player with more than 2500 in skill rating, I consistently finish Elite 3-1 and I’ve been close to top 100. I’ve beat pro players including one that was at the time ranked #8 in the world for the previous month of Fut Champs. I’m not bragging, I’m just trying to illustrate the incredible skill gap between me and him.
He beat me 3-2. His first goal was directly from a corner. I was trying to jump with my player that was perfectly positioned in front of him, but for some reason the game auto switched to another player just before the ball hit his player so he could head the ball straight into the goal with little pressure. Pathetic.

I’m just lost for words. I was absolutely baffled when he scored that, I couldn’t believe my eyes. He had a script-advantage throughout the game which made everything difficult for me, but I hadn’t experienced scripting to that extent before.
Then this fecking happened
That is the worst penalty I’ve ever witnessed in FIFA. I didn’t even press circle to tackle!!! I just ran, that’s literally all I did. As you can see, the bar that appeared above my player started loading after the player fell to the ground because I was making a pass. If I had made a challenge before that it would’ve started powering up a tackle before he fell to the ground. I literally just ran, he fell, got a penalty. Then he scored 3-2 and won the game.
I rarely get upset or mad about FIFA losses even when I lose because of scripting, but this is genuinely hands down the worst I’ve seen and/or experienced by a distance. It’s just sad how EA are marketing their game as E-Sports ready and are trying to act like they care about the players, but the reality is that all they care about is money and it has gotten to the extreme point that they want to reduce the skill gap so far, in order to reward new players, that it’s unplayable for someone who takes the game seriously and wants to play competitively and potentially become a pro player. I hope to god that the scripting is reduced in the official tournaments. Imagine playing a final for £25k and stuff like that happens. You have essentially no control of the final outcome. When he can beat me 3-2 that just proves everyone can beat everyone.
I’m a student at a business school and we’ve had a lot about company ethics and CSR etc. It’s fascinating to observe how incredibly unethical EA are. Now I’m not just talking about them making an extremely unfair platform for competitive players, but the way their bottom line of making as much money as possible is so deeply rooted into the game. New pointless promos every other week just to sell more fifa points. Heavy marketing directed towards even children to manipulate them into what is literally disguised gambling. That’s what it is. Flashy card designs is obviously not something that would persuade a 30 year old into buying packs. If I had the power I would honestly sentence whoever is behind this to 10 years in prison. feck this game. /rant

I actually read all of that. EA are cnuts. My connection to the servers most of the time is horrendous, i have no chance of playing in division rivals because the amount of button lag i get requires me to be able to see well into the future. Maybe one day.
Story of my fifa too, 90% of the games I play are unplayable button lag.

I'm in Cardiff but it was the same for fifa 17 too when I lived in Manchester (skipped fifa 18 because 17 was crappy button lag). Maybe its my TV but I play in game mode and every other game plays smoothly and I get the odd game on fifa that is super responsive so it makes me think its not my tv causing it.
If it’s in game mode then it’s probably not that, though a gaming monitor would help. It should be quite easy to solve to be honest. You can go into a windows PC and type cmd in the search bar and then enter ‘ping utas.fut.ea.com’ to test the connection. What’s your internet speed and ping? You can test it through speedtest.com. Are you playing wireless or through an internet cable? If you’re playing wireless then a cable could solve the issue for you. Also, you can connect a cable from your controller to the console if you’re on PS4 (you can probably do the same on xbox) and go into controller settings and set it to communicate through the cable. That will also help.
