You have no one who can aggressively dribble, no one who can attack the wings, unless you want your FBs to play super attacking, which will leave you exposed at the back. When I play that formation I like to have a quick dribbler as right striker, who can drift wide and feed his partner some crosses. With a midget like Allan as sole holding midfielder you might be vulnerable against people who spam long balls.

I'm pretty decent at Fifa so just plan on dominating people and having strength up top for a change 
Just an experiment really. I usually just abuse the fifa mechanics so trying a different approach out of boredom. Just going to aim for high possession and force my opponent into making mistakes or get reckless. Will update with how I get on later, ill play a couple and see how I find it.

James is a beast. Bring him on at half time every game because Mkhitaryan stamina is too low and he gasses constantly.
Fabinho; I can't stand his shooting anymore basically. He constantly is my link player when keeping possession around the edge of the box, means players can just leave him on the edge of the box knowing he'll spoon it wide.
Mendy is a bit too slow, constantly getting ripped apart chasing flying wingers and ends up all over the pitch at times for some weird reason.
Van Dijk turns like a truck. Azpiliceuta who I have next to him is just so much more agile that I want a change.

Yeah even 2 days ago you could get keepers for around 300k. Sucks that the price went up, think I'll skip this SBC as the 5 Icons you can choose from aren't great.
Yeah I've just used it to make some money. Wouldn't mind Hierro as I like CBs comfortable on the ball, hence using Azpiliceuta constantly.

True although I think it will be a minimum United or Chelsea. Not necessarily some of both. The UCL one should provide a better platform as most have premier league sides so easier for Chem
Yeah got lucky I pulled the trigger on Scholes last night! Not going to sell either of Giggs or Scholes though. Both going for around 500k I think so would be looking at like an 80k profit on each but this could just be their price now, so gonna sit on them.
Also still waiting to sell my 30 Banega's and the players I got for the bundesliga potm... need to sell the second there is decent profit and then buy when they're cheap instead of holding and waiting for the big boost.

The 442 with 2 cdms is just so good, but i was struggling with a WLDWLDWLD type run of games, until i tweaked my tactics slightly. Both fullbacks stay back, both cdms stay back and cover center, everyone else normal.
Then in game set defense to 'team press' and attack tp 'hug touchline', the overall result is 2 cdms in the middle always with the play in front of them, and able to close down the opponents cms who have to rush their inevitable 'long ball diagonal to Lucas/Son/Martial', but with the team hugging the touchline the full backs are literally waiting there for a simple knock down header to either the cb, cdm, winger or even back to the keeper.
Even if the pass makes it the whole way, the fullbacks are close enough to the wingers that they dont get a clear run, and when they have to try and trick their way to get a cross in you have bought enough time for the rest of the team to reposition to defend the cross.
In attack, the narrow midfield of any 433/41212 team cannot cope with the extra width so end up dragging players out of positoon, leaving acres for the 2 cdms to play and get the ball to the strikers/wingers at the right moment

Would love to snag that prime Gattuso but the price is outrageous. Safer waiting, buying him and then selling him once you’re finished with him.
He's 160k cheaper to buy and have tradeable. Unless you have some serious pack luck, totally not worth it for 820k untradeable

Yes. Played 7 online matches earlier and that was too many. I actually won 4, drew 1 and then lost the last 2. Totally avoidable losses, I should’ve known better than to carry on playing. There’s a lot to be said for just chilling out, doing some trading/completing SBC’s. Brings a much needed dimension to proceedings, IMO.

My one and only Champions League SBC pull was 90 Dybala. He's immense. Turns super quick, amazing dribbling. Slap hunter on him and he has a rocket of a shot.

When playing against friends offline, how can you adjust players' speed? Is it just through changing the sliders in settings?
I'm all for speed being less important in the game but it's ridiculous when you can't run away from Kroos with the likes of Sterling and Sane.

If you look at the in-game stats on futbin 85 Gattuso looks better. EA fecked that one up.

I am looking to upgrade my CB to one of Kouliably or Benatia, who do you think is better value from your experience?
So went with the team I said yesterday - All the big guys.... It went pretty bad. I reckon with a normal team I win by 3 or 4 easily. Drew the game 2-2.
Switched out Dzeko for Gomez, put Allan, Can, Bonaventura and SMS in midfield. Played so much better with just a couple of changes so now know what I want to do. My full backs are just too slow also so will be changing that up. This is what I want by the end of the week

To be honest, none of them have stood out. Part of me is looking at Manolas, but also, none have really put a foot wrong either.
AI defending is strong these days, so they both do well. If you play a high press, Kouliaby does win the ball from passes quite a lot.
Benatia has scored quite a few from corners though

I've found the latest tactic that just drains the life out of you when playing.
I can only assume it's ultra defensive, every custom tactic to be get back on defense and the passing style on long ball.
Even me, who plays defensive / standard, I brings all my players higher up the pitch, as soon as you get in and around their 30/40yard area, they hunt like a pack of dogs and as soon as they win the ball just hit it up front.
Team I played yesterday had Shadow cards on his back 4 and 3 in midfield, then hunter cards on Neymar, Mbappe and Lacazette

Thats seems to be this years meta, thats why i have played around with tactics and settled for the way i posted earlier. People who play that style usually defend narrow. Hug the touchline, sends your wingers and FBs wider, and one of two thing happen, they either leave you to the wide areas, or drag players our of position and leave you options in the middle
Off work for the day, so decided to do some trading making a killing off discard Bundesliga GK's all morning, buying for 700 selling for 150 profit after tax, earned about 10k while watching tv off my phone, decided to use my profit to buy inform Alcacer, spent 11k on his CL card by accident instead of his IF, morning wasted, that's what I get for letting the Walking Dead put me half to sleep.

Think it just disappears, EA take it, think its a way to stop players buying expensive players for 100k and selling them on for 2-3k profit, so if you buy a players at 100k you need to sell at 106k to make any profit, which is unlikely as the same players will always only sell within 1-2k of his lowest price.

Toying between Perisic and Insigne for LW...
I packed Insigne off the back of the Hybrid Leagues SBC, looked a decent card. Packed him, Lloris and Benatia, £160k worth of players from spending 19k on players to do the SBC, still haven't managed to play a game yet.
